Wow, Karen, lot of gardening
Dbil's sister here was given 2-4 days four days ago, and death rattle set in yesterday. She just hangs on. So much suffering for so long . He has been there 24/7 for 7 weeks and is exhausted. She only began sleeping nights two days ago and has been highly agitated nights. I never heard of a hospice home where they can do only some IV meds and nursing , but all personal care is up to family.Too young for Medicare.
I finally made the oatmeal cookies but with chocolate chips...just saw Tollhouse. sort of missed the butterscotch word. they are very good.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had a fairly quiet day and just spent some time with DS. Very rude of them to make us lose an hour on my birthday, but at least it is also International Women's Day! The nonagenerians are up in NSB and heading this way later in the week. Karen, love the multicolored Happy Birthday! Thanks for the link. It looks like the Johns Hopkins map is updating now, so it might have been a glitch. Here's a link to it if you want to check it out: Map. There is a lot more red in the US than there was yesterday. We had a so-so weather day with cloudy skies and wind. The temps were nice though and should be nice tomorrow. Then it's back up into the 80s. I've heard Val Demmings mentioned as a VP candidate and think she would make a good one. Chele, I always love your ascii cakes. I was also hoping for a female presidential candidate. Maybe in 2024. I started working on my taxes last week and hope to finish them this week. Then I have to do DM's. My DS said, "have fun with that". Congrats to the Lady Flyers! Hope your DN can go home from the hospital soon if she hasn't already. Linda, I have trouble with my eyes and nose watering too. I always keep tissues on hand so I can try and not touch my eyes or nose, but it is hard sometimes. I'm glad the patient is doing so well. Sad to hear that your DBIL's sister is suffering so much. Becky, good idea to do the clean up early so you'll be ready. Hope you weren't as sore today. Hope your DN is doing okay.
Liz, hope you had a nice weekend.

Chele I was sore this morning from yesterday but not as sore as the stuff I did today moving more furniture and now there is nothing on the floor.Scooter just went behind our chairs and looked at me like where's all the stuff.I told Kenneth if it was on the floor and didn't look important it went in the trash sack.Is your DN back home now? My DN went home this afternoon. The blockage is better but not 100%.Enough to where the dr was satisfied enough to release her.She said she knew this journey would not be easy but it would be worth it in the long run.
Karen We went to church, ate BBQ in Elgin and came home to do usual Sunday afternoon chores then I cleaned and swept for another couple of hours.Thank goodness I only have 2 more things to do and hopefully I can sit while doing part of it.Kenneth can do the rest while I'm in the hospital. It's stuff I can't do because of allergies.DN will be able to rest more now that she is at home. Her mom said she is very glad to be home.Sounds like you had another busy day.
Linda My mom wasn't in hospice but there was a special unit at the hospital when she had Alzheimer's where the family had to arrange for care and the nurses would only check in on her several times a day.It was an unskilled nurse unit.I hope she passes peacefully when it's time.
Kathy Happy Birthday. It sounds like a nice quiet day even if you lost an hour of sleep. We are expecting a few days in the 80's this week also.
