This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Feel free to jump in and join us. All are welcome here.

Good Morning...yippee for an evening of more light...AND a hopeful 70 degrees tomorrow! I did not sleep well and once again awakened with a headache. Oh well, at least I have NOTHING planned for today, so it promises to be a great day.
Andi - congrats on the new car !!
Janet - is there any way that you can leave the troublesome boy inside and take the other kids outside? I guess not, no one wants to add to their stress. Hope next week is a better week.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day...

Hi Everyone, Dont have much more to add since yesterday but saying hi to Rosemary. Susie, unless the family care workers are willing to stay with him I will not be trying to take him out. It's a shame for the other children if they can't go but it will cause so much stress for me as well as the other children coming back in and I know our director will be out of the building for a meeting tommorow that I dont even want to risk it. Only my friend said she will be going to the fl0wer show now but I will meet her later and go out for dinner. If the other guy who is our president doesn't end up coming down later than we can go where we want to go. He has so many issues with places because maybe one dish didht agree with him that it makes it harder to find places that he is willing to eat at. We like this place because of the roasted duck they serve. Mmm.! He likes duck too but chose chicken the last time he went. So am hoping he doesn't come as he wasn't feeling well enough to go to the flower show.

Happy Sunday, ROs,
I missed being here for a couple of days...it is such a good part of my day that I really miss being in touch! I also worked yesterday but it was a good shift. I worked with my usual partner, and we had several calls. All but one were for what we call Public Service. One fellow was fine, but had gotten his home 02 tubing caught under his wheelchair, and in trying to get it undone, he got part of the tubing stuck under his couch....well, he couldn't get it out and he didn't have anyone who could help him, so he called 911. Poor thing, he was so apologetic about calling, but we assured him that these are the best calls we can get - no one is sick or hurt, and we get to help someone in need, no matter what it is. He had that tubing STUCK too!! It caused his oxygen flow to be very diminished, and we ended up completely replacing the tubing and fixing it for him so that it wasn't so long that it could get stuck again. Another one was an elderly lady who just needed to be helped to her feet. She slipped getting out of bed and was sitting against the bed and her lower legs had slid under the dresser....she also has a broken arm and a hurt shoulder, is undergoing chemo for a recurrent bout of cancer, and she was a little on the heavy side. Her family just wasn't sure how to get her up without hurting her! She kept apologizing, too, and was terrified that she was going to have to go to the hospital because an ambulance had come. Again, we told her that we were truly happy to come and help her. We have so much experience with picking up and moving patients, that we had her on her feet in a quick minute. She was so sweet about us coming to help. And we told her that the last place we wanted her to be, was at the hospital! So, all in all, it was one of those days where you feel good about being there for people. Unfortunately, there were lots of stairs involved with some of these homes, and my legs were really hurting yesterday anyway. It doesn't keep me from doing these things, it just hurts to do them. Today I am feeling like I had a good workout, so I definitely need to continue my leg strengthening exercises. Besides, it is time for me to get in yardwork shape again! It is an absolutely gorgeous morning and getting warmer by the hour. I might start cleaning up some flower beds.
The dogs are going crazy outside, so I'm going to go check on it. I will be back for personals! Have a great day, everyone!

Hello again, Susie, looks like several of us are having sleep issues again, me included ...so sorry that you also have the headaches to deal with! Did yours finally go away today? Boy... I sure would love to be able to see those historical lectures that you go to. They ALL sound so interesting and relevant. I absolutely love history in every way. One thing my parents always did, when Dad would find out what our next assignment was going to be, we would start looking up everything about the area and its history and all the interesting things there were about the places and surrounding areas! It made me appreciate what there was to do and experience when we got there. And sure enough, wherever we lived, we went to the places, events, and areas that we had learned about. Anyway, I love hearing about your fun things to do! Sorry to get so long winded all the time By the way, I am with you on the days being longer! I would really like to quit changing the clocks back and forth. Andi, I'm so envious of your new car, and happy for you to have one that you are so happy with! Especially with the many places you go, it is good to have something you trust, and that you enjoy spending time in! My brother is a HUGE Subaru fan! I'm really sorry for what your DD is going through. Been there, done that...without kids, and with kids. It is something we hate to see them endure, and it hurts our hearts because we have all been in similar enough situations of one kind or another, that we KNOW the emotions they are going through. Maybe it will be good that you will be in a place away from her house....if she wants to get away with you, and away from things for a while, it will be easier! By the way, when I got my crown in December, it was SO much easier than it was back in the day...it was 2 visits, and the temp crown they put on (while waiting for the permanent one to be made) worked just fine. My mouth was a bit achy for the rest of the day, but certainly not bad. Janet, I sure hate that you have such a tough situation at work. It does suck that one child is causing you to have to make some of the decisions you really need to make. You bear such responsibilities with the children, and the most important has to be their safety and well being. I think you are right with this one, if you can't get him in. Lora, I hope you have abundant sunshine today! I don't know what it is supposed to be, but I am just hoping you don't have rain It was gorgeous here, and perfect for taking the dogs out to the field. I am anxious to start getting into the flower beds, but I know we have another few cold nights and a frost, before winter is finally done. When will you start putting things out? Will you have a little vegetable garden this year? I'm so happy to see that my little farm stand will open again on March 20th! I went up and drained all the water off the pool again. The wind had caught an edge of the cover and popped a small area up. Thankfully, when I got the weight of the water off, I was able to pull the cover back over the edge. The dogs were up there doing zoomies and playing, just enjoying rolling around in the grass and being goofy. I love this time of year. Oh! I don't think I mentioned that I did not get the job. I am just glad they let me know. I am quite motivated to look again, though, and focus on some jobs in other specific areas. Sigh... I have also been looking at homes. I have seen a couple I really like. Then, I feel frozen with indecision...do I jump on one that I really love, and immediately put my house up for sale, as is....or do I continue to do the cosmetic updates and THEN put my house up for sale, while I look for something I love, at the same time? I have been holding off on refinancing, because I have been thinking about selling sooner rather than later. But if I refinance and even get the monthly payment down anything at all, I could stay her a little longer and continue to do the touch ups....I want to continue working for a couple/few more years. Well, I did get to the store for some things for the week, so I'm going to go put something together for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. I'm a bit tired today, and like some of you, I haven't been sleeping great. I have been waking up in a little bit of a panic, and I have no idea why... it is so hard to get back to sleep like that. So I'll probably head up to bed a little early tonight. I hope everyone has had a good day and weekend. Tomorrow is a fresh start to a new week. I hope we all have a good one! Waving to all I missed. My brain is done, HA! RobinMD

Janet - I bet a flower show would really be fun right now. Enjoy dinner.
RobinMD...I got a little nap this afternoon and hope to head to bed early tonight too. DH and I talked about the same thing about 5-6 years ago....ie. do we buy now or keep fixing up and when we find the perfect place do it. I am glad we waited because the one we would have built would not have had as many handicapped options as the one we have now. Also, the refinance rates are great now. I am sure you will make whatever decision is right for you. Sorry about the job...darn.
Waving to everyone....have a good evening and I hope we all sleep well tonight!

Lora, I would love to have another fish tank here. I kept a really good collection of fish when we lived in Augusta, and our water was perfect there. It was well water, but it was never a problem, and my fish were super healthy. As a matter of fact, my ex-DH drove the rental truck up here with the aquarium on the front seat! We just couldn't leave them behind. We had them a long time, but here the water is extremely high in calcium and lime, and it was VERY labor-intensive to keep the tank clean. They eventually died of old age, I guess, but I never replaced them because of the water here. I really miss it, and I totally get that you guys want to set up another one. Your space sounds perfect for it! Can't wait to see the pictures!

Hi everyone, just checking in.
I will be traveling for work tomorrow so I may not may it here until late. It is just an over night trip.
I am so proud of myself right now. I have made breakfast and lunch for the next 2 days and I figured out a way to put all of my coffee fixings into a glass jar and take them with me as well - I will just need the coffee which generally isn't too hard to find.
Sounds like everyone has had a decent weekend.
Andi - congrats on the new car! yay!

Good evening, all. RobinMD, I love when you write long posts - I feel as if I'm there with you, spent the day with you, or we're sitting on your porch discussing the world and our lives. It sounds like you helped so many people during your last shift - I'm glad everyone was so appreciative, plus not needing to hospitalize people is a bonus. And I hear you on the house - I have to figure out what to do with my condo when I retire - it needs some fixing up, paint, 2 new windows where the seal has broken, and I have to give away or find a home for a million books that I do not want to take with me if I relocate. I'm not going to refinance at this point, but part of me just wants to sell "as is" but I know people would prefer to buy a place that doesn't require a lot of cosmetic work. I know you'll make the right decision.
Susie, I also continue to have weird sleep stuff and the time change isn't helping. I had a headache most of the day yesterday but have been fine today. I suspect I won't be able to get to sleep tonight though. And I agree with Robin, your lectures sound so interesting. Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.
Janet, what a nightmare to have to deal with a kid like that when you have inadequate assistance on a class full of others. Especially with the weather being so nice it would be so great to be able to let the little ones run around outside, but I totally get that the situation isn't manageable. Here's to hoping a solution is found soon.
I had a nice day today, supermarket (which was busy but not mobbed, and I was able to find toilet paper which I've heard is sold out in many stores), coffee with a friend, a walk in our local park, and out to dinner with neighbors. Plus the local fabulous outdoor ice cream place is now open so we stood in line and froze to death, got our ice cream and ate it in the car with the heat on. Kind of crazy. And so much for my no sugar, no flour vows. I'm impossible...
Back to work tomorrow but shouldn't be too stressful a week until Friday when I get the crowns. Thanks Robin for the reassurance - I do remember that last time I was an anxious mess and it was actually no big deal. So I hope for that again this time. I have a hair appointment Thursday evening, singing Tuesday evening, last 3 sessions of personal training, and of course regular work. Hmm, maybe it's a busy week after all, lol.
Have a good night all. Having it light late is wonderful, as was the full moon this evening, and warm temps predicted tomorrow. Oh, and thanks again everyone for the support around DD. It really is tough.
