Good Morning, Snow Angels: I hope you are all safe, warm, and off the roads. Our forecast has changed to 18-24" between this morning and tomorrow. Not happy about that but what am I going to do. Mother Nature has the greater plan. In the meantime, I have my Coleus cuttings to tend to (for some "green therapy") and they're doing really well.
Daily Affirmation: I have the power.
Fitness report: Tai Chi class was good. We went back to basics and I enjoyed it.
Health Goal: Good day to resume my meditation practice.
Gratitude: The quiet the snow creates. Such stillness really adds to the beauty.

Happy lunch time! I've been enjoying the morning off, listening to the wind, sipping tea and reading.
How are you making out with the storm, Suzanne? When I went to bed we were in line for 18 to 24" - when I awoke, it was coming down hard. Then it shifted to sleet and now it is just a wretched rain with ice flakes and howling winds. We're going out to clear the accumulations because we've been downgraded to four inches but all of this is going to freeze in the night. It's only like this on the coast, so I'm thinking you are getting pounded right now.
How cool that you danced ballet. The fusing big toe part is the part I'm most hesitant and afraid of. I have more questions before doing anything. I am happy for you that things got better on their own. You might enjoy the workout I did last night - Trudy Styler's Cardio Dance Flow. It has a very flowing, modern dance feel and great music. 25 minutes of ballet inspired dance cardio, and a 20 minute foam rolling segment.
Daily Affirmation - Mother Nature calls the shots.

Health Goal - stay warm while shoveling, deep stretch after, soup for dinner.

Hello girls!
I'm feeling really guilty here in AZ. It's hot and sunny already. Forecast of 90. We've already got our walk in and just cooking up some eggs and veggies. Yum!
affirmation - I am filled with light and love health goal - hydrate and avoid grains fitness goal - 3 mi walk done gratitude - this wonderful vacation from reality
Pat, I'm so sorry to hear about your foot issues. I'm sending lots of positive healing vibes your way! What kind of surgery can they do for you?
And all that snow? Dan sent me a photo of our six inches in Chitown. I'm so glad I could increase my stay.
Yesterday we walked all around the University town in Tempe and then did the Botanic Garden. Oh my, it was spectacular, but all the cactus are just ready to burst. We might go back on Friday if they are blooming. I feel so blessed!

Good snowy afternoon.
Just came in from pushing snow around. We've probably gotten only 7-8 inches, so far. An hour southeast of here in Binghamton, they had 15 inches already at 10AM. Pat, your weather sounds very unpleasant. And I am glad you are not at work! The county is closing the roads here as of 3PM. Smart move. A lot of people here don't know how to drive in the snow and there are a lot of hills (Finger Lakes country), so it can be bad news on the roads .
Pat, thanks for the Trudy Styler tip. I just checked a Youtube clip and it does look like something I'd like. Do you have the DVD or is it something you access online? Regarding the toe-joint problem, at the time, I had the sense from my podiatrist that the bone-fusing was a fairly common surgery. High heels, I am sure, never helped anyone and I am sure didn't help me. There was a time in my career when I was in retail so I stood a lot of the time with heels on (not really high heels, thank goodness). My podiatrist ordered me steel (metal?) plates I can put in my shoes to keep the joint from bending. I used them for a while but no longer need to. I do feel blessed that the irritation has gone away and am mindful that it may come back.
Lisa: I assumed you were back home! Lucky you! Enjoy the warmth, sun, and blossoms.

Good Morning, Dear Ones!
Suzanne - Hang in there:) We're forecast for 15-20" ❄️in our area. We have only 3-4 inches so far, but it's continuing to fall slowly & steadily. The roads were not good this morning....I ventured out at 8 am, but then found that both my planned activities for the morning were cancelled, so I swung by the grocery store to pick up some supplies and a nice hot cup of coffee.
Lisa - what a joy to see the desert blooms! I would love to see that sometime:)

Fitness Goal or report - feed my Fitbit....it went hungry the past couple days!
Health Goal - nourish and hydrate (thank you, Lisa!) ....will focus on what my body needs, not what my lizard brain wants, LOL
