This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Feel free to jump in and join us. All are welcome here.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good morning friends!
Well how is everybody doing with the Monday morning time change? Without Lily here to be confused about her breakfast and supper times, I'm not really feeling the difference this time.
I guess I didn't post over the weekend. I thought I had posted Saturday, but I guess not. Our weather was sunny and clear both days, but Saturday was very windy. We ventured out for the great aquarium hunt and tried to walk for a bit at the river park, but the cold wind was making Mark's jaw so we cut the walk short and we couldn't find anything like we had in mind aquarium wise around here. I think we'll have to end up in the city for better options. Yesterday was a nicer, it got into the low 60s and only a little breezy. Mark was able to spend some of the afternoon on the patio reading, and I got the hummingbird feeder set up off the edge of the patio. They're due to return soon and I wanted to have it ready for them to refuel after their long trek back.
Anyway today is overcast all day, and then it looks like rain for possibly the next 6 days. Sheesh!
I hope everybody is having a good Monday. BBL

RobinMD - to answer your question from the weekend, I don't think it would do me much good to have a garden. Between the armadillos, racoons, squirrels, birds and deer I'm not sure there would be much left for us. Haha. Also, we don't seem to have a lot of top soil. We hit rock in most places around 4 inches down. So it would have to be a raised bed, and that just sounds like a lot of work and expense.

Hello ROs...slept better last night...was up and off to the gym, then to DH's neuro-fit session with him and a Quick lunch (I brought most of mine home) with DS and DBIL since we all had things to do. DH went to a genealogy lecture at LLI and I went to see an opthalmologist (just a visit set up from a year ago). I thought it would just be a waste of time, but we talked a lot about the blindness I have gotten in my right eye several times. It is definitely not a regular migraine aura and only occurs in my right eye. I had one in Sept and one about 10 days ago and maybe 2 others over the past 2 years. He seemed really concerned and wants to make sure it is not a mini-stroke so he wants me to go back to see the cardiologist and get 2 more scans.
Lora - it is beautiful here today...a little windy, but sunny and warm...can't really sit outside since my eyes are dilated, but maybe tomorrow. Glad Mark got some time on the patio and you got the hummingbird feeder up. DM and DF used to LOVE to watch them...gee, makes me think of them.
OK...think I will rest or read for awhile... I have charades tonight.

Good evening everyone.
Since I was traveling this morning, I didn't have to leave home until the time I would normally have to be at work so I did pretty good with it. I got to sleep in a little bit. Most of my day was uneventful. Made my coffee this morning and ate breakfast when I got to my destination. I ended up working through lunch so I just left a little bit early to check into my hotel. This is when my battle began...……….. I started an epic battle with ED (eating disorder) I gave into to some of it but it was not an all out binge. I was in a bit of panic mode but I was able to chat with a friend and she helped talk me off the ledge. It definitely could have been a lot worse than it was.
I have been looking forward to tonight. Quiet, watch what I want on TV, read some - relax. Unfortunately I forgot my tablet so I can't read - so I am just going to sip some water - work on my work budget spreadsheet for a little bit and then watch some bad TV.
Susie I hope you figure out what is going on with your eye. Have you seen a neurologist? I don't really know if one could help or not -but they might be able to give you some answers.
Lora the weather today was BEAUTIFUL and I think it is supposed to be the same tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great night.
