Thanks for the start, Karen.
Raining again, so it is laundry day. 3 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Cleveland area.
I hope everyone is doing well.

Linda, I guess you won't plan to stay long at the funeral home. How do you think Bob will do if you have to stay at home like they are having to do in Italy and did in China? You definitely don't need to risk being exposed to airplane germs, so not seeing the folks when they return from Hawaii is a good plan. I heard last night that the CDC had recommended that people over 60 stay totally off planes, but the WH balked and they backed off making the announcement, so it's kind of wishy-washy, but they did recommend staying off cruise ships. I'm not buying that ticket to see DB for a while. Might postpone until September just to see how things go.
Happy laundry day, Chele. We have rain as well, but it was Tuesday, so you know what my morning was. Sorry Covid-19 has come to Ohio, but at least it's no closer than Cleveland right now. WV looks really weird with no cases in the middle of all the surrounding states with multiple cases each. Makes me wonder if they are even testing there yet. We are now up to 6 cases in TN, but nothing closer than Nashville. Did you watch 9-1-1 Lonestar? I never considered myself claustrophobic, but I didn't like the cave segment. Did you catch that TK's mo was supposedly coming back from China? Obviously the episode was made well before coronavirus. Second episode was pretty weird.
Kathy, the NY Times map isn't updating like it was a few days ago. It still has 3 cases in TN and there are now 6. CDC/JH looks like it's behind as well. Any cases closer to you than what there were yesterday? How are your taxes coming along? Have you started on DM's yet?
Good luck tomorrow, Becky. Please let us know when you're home. I doubt you'll feel like communicating much while you're in the hospital. Do you have everything done that you needed to get done before you went? It's good that you got your surgery scheduled early enough that you won't have to face the possibility of postponement if they decide to change elective surgery schedules due to the virus. I guess you heard that Ted Cruz is quarantined after coming into contact with a confirmed case of the virus at CPAC.
Liz, I saw DeBlasio on MSNBC this morning saying they aren't canceling schools. It kind of makes sense, since this isn't a virus that hits kids to any large degree and parents count on schools for childcare and in many cases, decent meals. He said they will keep an eye on the teachers, however. How are you doing on keeping enough PPE supplies on hand for your staff? It's a shame we have gone from containment to mitigation, but I guess it shouldn't be a huge surprise.
AF was about typical for 9 am on a Tuesday. Not many people using wipes and there was a guy on the stairclimber who was literally dripping sweat everywhere, which was pretty gross. Stopped at Aldi and shouldn't have to go there for another couple of weeks. I went Walgreens for some higher concentration alcohol (91% vs. the usual 70%) to make hand sanitizer, since there is none to be found anywhere. Easy recipe: 6 oz alcohol, 2 oz aloe vera gel, tbsp of vitamin E oil, and 15 drops of essential oils of choice. Did anyone see that Putin said he would approve legislation to let him stay in office until 2036? If Trump gets re-elected, I hope he doesn't deide to try something like that.

Karen, it looks like the JH map is no longer showing the counts for each county and there is just one dot for each state. The FL cases that I've heard about are still fairly isolated and are mostly people that had international travel. It's a big state and we don't have any public transportation to speak of, so I wonder if that's helping. It looks like GA has about as many cases as FL now. I'm still surprised there is nothing at the university or theme parks so far, but I guess we don't really know with such limited testing. The Delaware aunt just flew down from the Philly airport last week. I'm not sure how long she's staying, but I worry about her flying now. I have most of my taxes done and just need to review them. I need to get DM's file from last year off of her computer and will start hers after I do that. Trump has already joked about changing the rules about staying in office, but I think that would be really hard to do. Did you see that the state of Florida is going to make their own hand sanitizer? I'm not sure if they're planning on selling it or just using it in state buildings.
Liz, thanks for the birthday wishes! I'm not surprised that things are even crazier than normal where you are. Glad you enjoyed some Mexican food and a margarita. They are good once in awhile! I've only seen one person wearing a mask here and she was coming out of a doctor's office. I don't know if she was a medical worker or patient. I don't know why people are persisting in wearing the face masks. I guess it makes them feel like they're protected.
Becky, good luck tomorrow. Your surgery date came up fast. Hope all goes smoothly and you have a quick recovery.
Linda, that's good that DBIL's sister is finally at peace. She certainly endured a lot. I'm fairly well stocked up now, so I'm just going to try and replace things as I use them. I like Birdseye's Streamfresh frozen wild & brown rice. It doesn't have any added sodium or oil.
Chele, how are your allergies doing? Mine have been acting up a bit. We keep going back and forth on needing the AC or heat. It looks like it will be AC for the rest of this week and not too long before it will be AC all of the time.

Becky, best wishes for your surgery. Take care of yourself and look forward to your return.
Karen, yuk, on Sweaty McSweat Face on the stair climber. Wear a towel around your neck for heaven’s sake. And sweat bands! I have not watched Lonestar yet this week. I AM claustrophobic. I found that out when I had to have an MRI. I almost had a panic attack. We found antiseptic wipes and I am keeping disinfectant wipes in the car. So far the grocery stores still have the wipes at the doors.
Kathy, my eyes have been burning for days and tree pollen is only at a moderate level. We will have rain for several days, so I am hoping this calms down. We will have high 50s all week until Saturday when we might have a rain/snow mix.
Liz, I figured you were crazed at St Crazy. I am sure your joints were woofing at you with all the steps you are taking. I heard temps reached 70° there. Wow!
As if next Tuesday won’t be crazy enough, I called for a doctor’s appointment and the slot they have open is next Tuesday. I have been bad to me and not gone for a checkup in 18 months. Fortunately, my PCP does not lecture. He just gives you the look over the reading glasses. Fun times!

Thanks for the start Karen and thanks for the good wishes. Now I have to be at the hospital by 9:30 because they are putting a block in my thigh before they knock me out.I do have these boards on my phone so if I feel like it Thursday I will do a quick check-in.Everything is done that I had planned to do.Kenneth will do a few things Thursday instead of coming to the hospital which is good because I may only be in for one night. It depends on how I do whether I stay the extra night or not.I thought it was nice of Ted Cruz to do a voluntary quarantine. He had minimal contact with the person at CPAC.HEB was out of basket wipes again today. They had them yesterday.Walmart has them plus they have put hand sanitizer outside the doors.
Thanks Kathy.Yes it did seem to come up faster than I thought.I'm mostly packed.Just have to take one more Hibiclens shower in the morning.
Thanks Chele. My PCP won't renew my prescriptions if I don't go in every year.If I have one scheduled and run out of refills she will refill the one time but I still need to go in.
The sun finally came out this afternoon and our high was 84.I'm glad I will be in the cold hospital tomorrow because it is supposed to stay in the 80's for 2-3 days.

Funeral is at Catholic church at 7 pm Thursday on the other side of Mesa from us, a good 40 minute drive off freeway. I will be early to see the family and then leave because I do not drive alone at night. It will be darkish at that point. Spouse should not be exposed to a lot of people, a few flying in. I am not touching anybody!
Sent a contribution to Salvation Army and mailing card to the family tomorrow.
I am skipping my monthly lunch bunch Friday so I will not be picking up germs from people handling food, plates, etc and bringing it home. Today I had to pick up meds...nice place to meet the sick...and washed hands, handbag, seat belt latch, steering wheel, controls, door latch with paper towel soaked in alcoholI brought in zip lock bag!
Hard on the skin.

Becky, fingers crossed for you on surgery!
Raining....going to rain all night, all day, and off and on through Friday! Dog is not a fan.
Ides of March tomorrow. Making corned beef and cabbage ...ahead of St. Pat's. they cancelled the parade in Dublin
I think the service is a funeral mass. I will not stay, just check in and go home! Same day dsil flies in and she and her husband ( who has been with dying sister 7 weeks) fly to Hawaii next day as planned for months before all this to see their daughter. I hope he manages to relax and recover from the 24/7 nightmare of recent weeks.
