This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Feel free to jump in and join us. All are welcome here.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone is having an amazing day.
First of all -very little rain on my drive home yesterday so that was great.
RobinMD - I like the regular granular monkfruit (you know like white sugar - can't think of the right way to describe it) and it is very similar to sugar in taste, etc. The liquid monkfruit is another story. Since I am counting carbs I was trying to find a way to keep my morning coffee from having 4 g of carbs per teaspoon of the monkfruit. The liquid monkfruit has no carbs for like 4 drops or something, so I thought I would at least try the liquid. Unfortunately it is very concentrated and it leaves a sweet taste in my mouth all day. Not like a chemical taste - just sweet. It is like I drank straight sugar water or something. I think it is making me crave diet coke or something sweet because I constantly taste sweetness. But the regular monkfruit doesn't do that to me. So I went back to the regular kind this morning and I am not having the same issues.
We had a team meeting this morning to discuss our budget. We have this meeting monthly and if you guys have not figured it out yet - I HATE budget. I am struggling so bad and I am trying so hard to get it right. I had my #s completely wrong for month end of February. Well, my #s were right, but my spreadsheet was not totaling year to date - so I ended up way off. Anyway, the meeting is done and I am completely re-working my budget spreadsheet to try to get my #s to match our budget analyst #s so that we will know where we stand budget wise each month - The spreadsheets that she sends us to work off of have so much information on them that I struggle to get it all where it needs to go.
I had to take a break from budget and thought I would check in here.
I hope everyone is having a much, much better day than I am LOL I feel like a cartoon character with numbers swirling out of my ears and around and around my head.

Hi! Me again.
Not much happening here today. Mark is WFH again today, as he's going into the office for a meeting tomorrow. He took a quick lunch break and we ran out to the Red Box kiosk to pick up a dvd rental he wants to watch tonight. The kiosk is on the sidewalk in front of the DG, so I popped in there while he was getting the dvd, for a quick look at the seasonal aisle. I picked up a couple of "L" brackets for $1 each (they even came with needed screws), and I'm going to attach them to the wooden posts out on the patio so than I can hang my wind chimes. I can't believe it took me this long to remember to get them. One of the chimes we've had hung at every house we've ever lived in. So it will be nice to have that back out to enjoy.
It's been sprinkling rain all dang day, and right now it expected to continue through Tuesday, at least. Gaaaaah! I feel like I'm going to start mildewing soon. Haha.
Jana - sorry you're numbers were so off, but glad you've found the issue and have correct it so it won't be a problem going forward.
Not much else happening around here at the moment. I need to empty the dishwasher, but have been putting it off all day so far. Sigh, I guess I should go do that now while it's on my mind.

Hello Everyone...well, I was off early to arrive on time for my 2 heart tests at the cardiologist's office (that were requested by the opthalmologist). I made a quick stop at Publix and got home in time to head to the clubhouse for mah jongg. YDD has cancelled her trip to Spain and is now officially WFH in Boston. She has suggested that DH and I not go to public functions. I have to be especially careful due to DH's health issues. I have a feeling that our trip to Boston for Easter is off (even though we were driving not flying) which is kind of sad, but better safe than sorry.
Jana - glad the regular monk fruit granules are working for you. I tried a blend of them with some stevia about a year or so ago. Hope you get the spread sheet all straightened out. Darn those budget issues.
Lora - thanks for starting us...jeesh, I can't believe you are having more rain.
Waving to everyone...have to head out to pick up DGS...hope to bbl.

Good evening, ROs. I've had quite an intense week and I don't expect things to change much soon. At least tomorrow night I have a hair color appointment and a trim and am looking forward to that. My hair is kind of wild and does its own thing every day, and each day a little differently. As you can tell I'm still not entirely at peace with the perm/American wave thing. Rehearsal last night was really fun and the annoying woman wasn't there. Actually, quite a few people weren't there, not sure if it's because of the coronavirus or something else.
DS is distressed because DGS's nursery school is now closed for 2 weeks and DS has also been told to work from home. Nothing like trying to work from home with two toddlers underfoot. And so the drama continues. We did contingency planning today and I really hope we don't have to close. Most of our jobs cannot be done from home and it would create great hardship for everyone, staff and clients. We may lose staff anyway as the pace of school closures has picked up. This is truly a crisis.
Susie, I forgot to answer you that I still do make the Norwegian rolls - I have most of a batch in my freezer at the moment. I overbaked them, forgot how long they were supposed to bake, but they are actually quite good crunchy and the middle isn't so moist. I hope you'll be able to visit DD for Easter but I think she had good advice about your DH not being in crowds and public events. Are there any cases of the virus in VA?
I made turkey burgers yesterday morning from the Skinnytaste recipe and they are really good, had one yesterday and one tonight with roasted asparagus and butternut squash. I love when I can come home and just heat up dinner.
Janet, you sound so unhappy at work and it must be awful not being able to go outside and having to do so much on your own with no support from administration. If you decide to leave, are there other jobs you'd be interested in?
Jana, I can relate to budget woes. This stuff definitely doesn't come naturally to me plus I'm not a detail person. I do a lot of reviewing of budgets but mercifully I don't have to prepare them. Hope by the time you read this you'll be all done for now.
Lora, sorry about all the rain, although you don't sound too miserable. And having DH working from home must be really nice.
I am pooped, happy to be on my sofa but I have a sink full of dishes so should really get up and wash them. Only 2 days until I pick up my new car - I start the morning off with getting the two crowns so it will be nice to have something pleasant to look forward to. Have a good evening everyone.

Hi Everyone, Another day done in Paradise-oops Hell.. I found out that the staff member already left this past Friday so that made two that left. I thought maybe the other one had just given her 2 week notice. I am not sure if she is actually taking another position though. She has two children she adopted and I believe she needs to help out her parents as well. I am meeting my friend and her friend to go to a girl scout alumnae event tommorow night. Nothing else much exciting. Susie, sorry you won't be going to visit your daughter in Boston. My sister and brother in law are not going to Scottland. My sister says she doesn't want to be quarantined for 2 weeks at least as she wouldn't be able to prepare for Passover. Ok, gn. I am beginning to fall asleep.

Happy Hump Day, Andi, good luck with the crowns. I hope it goes quickly! I'm so excited for your new car...I am always thinking about what I would want to get. Susie, I guess with your DH's past health issues, better safe than sorry, is probably always a good rule right now. Janet, I sure am sorry about your work situation. How are they going to handle these people leaving? Lora, ALWAYS find something at DG when I go in there! I forget about looking there sometimes, though, because the one in my little town is fairly new, so I'm not used to thinking about it. We call it the Boonsboro Walmart! Jana, maybe I'll try the granulated monkfruit...good to know about the liquid though, so I don't need to try it! I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I'm really tired today, so I will be heading upstairs soon. Work was just mentally challenging today... I could sure use some time off. Well, I hope everyone has a good Thursday. The weekend is almost visible I'll be back tomorrow, RobinMD
