I can plan, move, track and hydrate. Our son and family are coming for dinner tomorrow night. DH is barbecuing a turkey so I need to plan sides. Saturday morning we are taking family photos so I can use todayβs free time to plan after my morning cut and color. My hair is really looking forward to it π

Great goal to not stress. I shall try to follow your good example. Not even "going there" with it being Friday the 13th.
Sweet dreams.
Thanks for starting us off June.

My #1 Goal is to find a comfortable place on my recliner and to get up and walk with my recliner as much as I am able.I will do PT exercises in the morning.A couple from church is coming over at 10:00 to bring brunch foods(such a wonderful church and people).Home health will be here sometime between 12-2:00.Sounds like I will be busy but am looking forward to start getting on the other side of this. It's been very painful since I have been home but I know it will get better.
Surgeon said it was one bad looking knee with a big bone spur on top and several small ones under the knee cap. That is why I couldn't straighten my knee.
I am not tracking or weighing until I feel better but will continue to hydrate which will help me while I'm taking Hydrocodone.
I hope to be able to do a few personals tomorrow if I have time.

Becky it will get better. You have a wonderful network of folks ready and willing to help. Happy you also have professionals coming in. On medication weight will fluctuate. I weighed in as it's just a me thing. Do what you feel is a good fit. Prayers continue.

I will:
* track * move * think positive
I did not stay OP yesterday but today will be a better day. We lost electricity off and on during the day and at about 11:30 it went for good or at least until I finished up on the computer and headed to bed.
BECKY: Sorry you have pain but glad you know what was wrong with the knee and now with the new knee you will, hopefully, heal and be back up and around without pain sooner than later. I bet it is marvelous to be home again and that sleep will be easier, too.
SUSI: It is crazy times we live in. In Lebanon hospital workers have covid-19 and some hospitals are asking families not to come see patients at all. Social distancing is a real thing. Nursing homes must also be worried not only about their clients but also their staff.
MJ: I am guessing most events for YM and sports and such will be curtailed for awhile and your taxi service time be greatly reduced. I hope you have fun things to do at home should that happen.
ANN: A good night of sleep is worth a LOT!
JUNE: Hooray for a blue-dot-streak! I love a hot bath with a good book to read BUT haven't had one recently as there has been no sunshine AND the books are ebooks that need to be read and I won't take those into the bathtub...might need to reread some of the paperbacks downstairs and start implementing bathing in the tub rather than the shower when there is sunshine to heat the water again. Sorry you missed seeing your mother but glad to hear they are taking precautions.
LADONNA: Hope the issues you are concerned about will be taken care of. Reset button has been hit and today is a new day.
AUDREY: Reset button has been pushed and today will be better than the last two days!
PAM: Glad you managed a good night of sleep and imagine with the sleeping in you were rested and ready for the day.
BEE: Hooray for a nice outing with your friend...and avoiding more than the ice cream you planned for.
Okay...the sky is darker than when I sat down...I wonder if rain is coming?

Good morning, June - Audrey - Ann - Bee - Becky - Cathy - and AWF!!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1 and DSonIL.
Extra prayers for you, Susi - feel better!
ππ΅ππππ΅π.
DivaTaxi (although he is late getting here). MHMR. Grocery run. MH-ASR (early dismissal at 1:10 PM). While sportsTaxi has two items on the evening agenda, I suspect that both will be canceled (as was last night's soccer practice).
Local schools are on an early-dismissal schedule today. We heard (at Charlie Brown's yesterday lunchtime - a lucky "early warning" while chatting with random folks) that the township schools will close as of next week; target reopening 3/30.
LabCorp was uneventful yesterday morning. The waiting room was almost empty (9:15-ish) and the draw was quick. Toots' cardioDoc appt is 3/25.
I went to a WW workshop last night just in case my Saturday one is affected (if that one's open, I'll go too). The coach was a young man whom I've seen - but never heard - before. He was subbing for the regular coach and it was a very nice experience. Tiny group, but I don't know what their usual attendance is. And I've got my Wellness WINS for the week, LOL.
We are making contingency plans - it never hurts to plan. Toots will go to the library and get a couple more books in his favorite sci-fi genre. I can read those and/or have other things to read here. There are always webinars. I will look for a chair yoga video. We have our regular grocery run on tap. And we will look at the calendar for the next couple of weeks to see what might be canceled and what needs to stay (like doctor appts). AND... spring cleaning... lots of spring cleaning in my future... and yard work when it gets just a tad bit warmer...
Time for coffee... βββ...
ππ·ππ·ππ·ππ·π Have a healthy-eating day, all! ππ·ππ·ππ·ππ·π
UPDATE: Son#1 is WFH (company-wide). So he will handle early dismissal for the Zigster (the elementary school DGS in that household). We'll still have the Mice.

Okey dokey Originally had as my Friday's goal -- not to stress, the did just that after typing. Deleted that goal.... because trying to explain why I was trying not to stress was actually stressful.
Probably a better frame would be I will focus on putting my energy to more positive outlets.

We can and will do this Susi hope you feel better ((hugs)) MJ another busy day on tap for you. Happy you got to go to your meeting and enjoyed the leader. Audrey Enjoy the shampoo, cut, and color. Nice to be pampered! Great to have a healthy protein like turkey anchoring your family dinner. Lots of sides work well w/ turkey prepared on the grill.
Ann Thx for the encouragement. But as you see, I did not even follow my good example! Becky Yes, finding a comfortable position can be very tricky. I engineered a few pillow configurations for R. Your positive & "can do" outlook will certainly help w/ PT. You are likely to become the therapist's favorite patient because you will do the work. Wonderful that you have support from your church members. Sending you more prayers.
Mj Your schedule suddenly looks a whole lot different w/ the school situation & DS's work from home mandate. Glad that you have ways to use your new found time. Is there any talk of temporarily suspending the YMs, wrestling, and/or soccer? Here's how ridiculous our work situation is--we have a mandatory meeting on Monday. Campus employees returning from travel abroad must screened by a health care provider within a short time AFTER they RETURN to the campus.
Cathy Today can be a better day! You have a clear path forward. Hope your electrical service cooperates today!
Susi Hope the extra rest helps. Sending hugs. Wish I could join you for a walk along the ocean. Would be very relaxing and healing.
Bee Catching the slide is a good thing. Hahaha. . . No one who ever watched "Lost in Space" can forget the robot's catch phrase. Poor Will Robinson though reminded me a lot of Timmy on Lassie. As a child I asked my mom just what was wrong w/ Timmy and Timmy's mom for relying on a dog to save Timmy time after time.
