lani, Oh, I never saw that. I do the meditations on a desktop computer and as I said never saw the comments.

bbbearsmom, I do 'em on a desk top too. You never scrolled down, I guess. Not that you missed much, I thought it was interesting because there were people around the world checking in. Sometimes people would be having trouble with the audio, or they had missed a session and wanted the mantra. It gave a feeling of community. Sometimes the site would reply back thanking someone for a comment.

lani, I probably didn't but I think I remember seeing comments like that, just don't remember where.

Hi lani, I know you do Essentrics to stay limber and stretched and my hand therapist has me doing fascia releasing exercises so I figured now is the time to check out Miranda's workouts. I just found some freebies on Youtube, which I downloaded and will start trying. There is only one 30 minute workout for free online, and then there are 8 mini workouts that are anywhere from 7-10 minutes each. I think you have videos you're using, are they all 30 min workouts or are some shorter. Do you recommend I just start with the freebies first to get the gist? I saw she has an online 'daily streaming' service but it costs $145/year or thereabouts and while you get a 14 day free trial, I always hate the 'free trials' that make you sign up in the hopes that you'll forget to cancel before your 14 days are up. So...would you pay that price for a year of daily workouts or do you think your old vids are just fine? I am just weighing how much to invest in this. Does it make a huge different to how you feel when you don't do the workouts? Sorry for so many questions...

surfgirl, no prob. Always happy to answer any questions. My PBS station airs the 1/2 hour Classical Stretch episodes each morning. At least weekdays anyway. I have DVR'd so many, I mainly use these. If you don't have this option, I think I would just purchase a couple of her DVDs. Each one has like 25 to 30 workouts. I personally prefer her somewhat earlier videos to the current ones, but that could be beacuse that I'm so familiar with them, they area easy for me to follow. Who knows. I have cribbed together a personal stretching routine that I do each morning from her stretches that target my problem areas. So I don't do an actual one of her workouts that often. Unless I'm getting stiff or having a particular area that's giving me trouble. When I wake up, before I get out of bed, the first thing I do is start flexing and stretching my fingers, hands, toes and feet. Also, just shaking parts of your body can be very helpful. It stimulates the lymph system, or something. Happy stretching!

lani , Thanks so much for the above info. I just looked and my local PBS also has the Classical Stretch every weekday morning at 05:00 so I just set my DVR to record them and I'll try them tomorrow! I found the freebies below online, just FYI:
And there are tons more with other women like this one, they all appear to be from the official Essentrics account so you might like them for a change of pace!
Also thanks for the idea to stretch before getting out of bed, I did that this morning!

There has been a new Deepak 21 day meditation going on. I ignored it at first, it's about awakening the divine feminine or some thing like that. I figured Mr. Lani wouldn't want to do it, and I was still slacking on meditation as I do post-vacation. However, I started on it and I really like it, as does Mr. Lani. The Alicia Keyes intros are great. Like her's much more than Oprah's.
I think it's available for free until June 30.

It is, and yet there are so many variables to consider. OTOH I wouldn't take it as gospel, but it IS the AMA so it is a respected organization in heart health. So I've switched to eating a light breakfast for now.
