Saturday I can PTMH. It's supposed to be nice. Maybe we'll take a ride somewhere so we can walk a different path. If we take LuLa we will tote some snacks. I feel the need to DO something different.
Sweet dreams.

Ann Have fun whatever you end up doing.
Home health came out yesterday so I have been doing exercises plus walking in the house every hour. She doesn't want me to go outside and get off the ramp yet.Good news was my BP is back to normal and she said she didn't expect me to be this far along for another 4 weeks. My pain block catheter has been seeping out blood and she said it didn't look infected but it was up to me when I wanted it out.It didn't seem to be doing anything for the pain so I may have them take it out today and change the knee bandage since it's more than 50% soiled with blood now. They had me doing the same exercises I was doing in the hospital plus walking with my walker every hour just in the house. The weekend person will be here next 2 days.

Ann Thx for the start. Something different. . . A little drive to a park or scenic outlook sounds nice.
Bee Will join your inbeing wiling. Praying for all those impacted and for those whose mental health who are suffering increased anxiety. An acquaintance's OCD that involved hand washing is rearing it's ugly head.
Becky You are doing amazingly well! That home health care providers probably rarely works with someone like you who has such drive and will.
Glad that you have home health nurses and PTs to guide your recovery and decisions that reflect your individual situation.
I worried a lot about infection. My santitation and bandaging routine her R's cervical surgery was legendary. At the post op, the one asst. wanted to know if I wanted a job bandaging incisions. Uhm.... NO.
That makes sense to walk inside for now. There is probably less fall and infection risks inside the house.

Okey dokey It's official. The instruction for rest of the semester term will be accomplished by online courses. Now that path forward is clearer at least.
Have started the process of making that transition for my course. I amwilling to view my efforts as a work in progress. Also I will set up a schedule for class "time" to keep it from morphoring into a bigger time such than it should be. My goal is "doable" rather than groundbreaking.
Keep focused on healthy choices.
Praying for all.

Ann, it will be good to do something different if the weather is good. Bee, Iβll join you in being willing. June, doable is a much better goal than groundbreaking. All of our schools at all levels are closing. Becky, yes, you are doing remarkably well and itβs good to have home healthcare do as much for you S possible.
We are doing family photos at a park across town with Lauraβs family and Robβs family at 9 a.m. Rachel and Kris decided their family wouldnβt join us. I convinced Bob to do grocery shopping yesterday afternoon and he saw how many shelves were depleted. Rob and his family are coming for dinner so it will be a busy day.

I will KOKO
We have plenty in the house to prepare meals with. Think that today's lunch may be spinach with bulgur and I have garbanzo beans soaking to cook this afternoon - hummus and other things to be made with those. My daughter's university is doing online courses and teleconferencing the rest of this semester. My son returns from Europe within a week. Our Wednesday group will not meet till covid-19 has calmed down. Hubby and I will avoid going out and about though we might need to buy some bread and produce from time to time OR have it delivered.
BECKY: It sounds like you are healing well and doing better than expected. Hooray!
JUNE: My husband said we can go out for drives from time to time for a change of scenery. You have a few things to choose from being the worst. My stocks were hit hard, too. In what way did R have a bad week? My brother-in-law may be looking at a fourth (I think) surgery to stabilize the vertebrae above those they worked on last time...too bad they can't do the entire spine in one go instead of a few at a time!
AUDREY: How will covid-19 impact getting together with your family? Will Nora's school (and others) close down...sounds like it is likely. Glad you were refunded for travel plans that won't be happening.
BEE: Here's to being accountable and so happy reset is an option.
SUSI: I hope you feel better!
MJ: Can you check out ebooks from your library?
LADONNA: Stay away from people at the beach...aha...cancelled is not a bad thing at all!
ANN: I hope the medication fiasco get sorted out!
PAM: I'm in, too.

Ann - A change of scenery sounds good. Hope the meds are finally straightened out Good plan Bee. Sounds like you are coming along well Becky. Hope you continue to heal well. June - Pretty much all the schools and universities are going online for the next 2 weeks at least and most likely a month or longer. I feel so back for working parents. What a shame that Rachael and Kris won't join you. It's nuts out there. Canned goods and chicken are the newest to be out of stock. Glad you got a refund Cathy - Stay safe. Sorry your gatherings are cancelled. The extra rest did me good. Carol and I walked Frankie to our local Asian restaurant and got take out. We had that and some wine and just relaxed watching taped shows. I'll head to the gym in a bit for a spin class. I need to replace some gardening tools and may be able to get in some yard work as it's pretty nice and not too cold. I may need to dig up some oregano as it is taking over the herb garden. Chives are up and thyme survived the winter quite nicely.

Good morning. Slept okay last night. LuLa was feeling 'off' and woke us up several times during the night to go out. Our plans for today have changed. Will stick close to home to monitor how she is doing.
Cathy, like you we also have plenty of food and all other essentials on hand. You are wise to cancel out your Wednesday group until things settle down. Why risk it? All events that are held at our clubhouse have been postponed to a later date.
Audrey have fun with the family photos and enjoy your dinner with Rob and family.
June I am so happy to hear that you now know where you stand. It's hard when things are all up in the air. LOL I wouldn't want a job as a 'bandage queen' either. I'm sure you did a fantastic job of it.
Becky so good to see you. I'm amazed at how well you are doing. I'm sure you'll feel much better with the bandage changed and the pain port removed. Sending healing vibes your way ((hugs))
Bee I shall also be willing and aware.
Waving to Pam Suzi LaDonna and anyone else I've forgotten.

Gooooooood morning Ann Fresh air and a walk with your crew goes a long way to releasing stress. Those insurance related issues can get nuts! Glad that your RX is now in the being processed. I have to laugh at R when he feels the need to tell me how long I have been on the phone handling a medical issue.
Audrey Yes, you likely will have more babysitting duties. But isn't there a chance that Nora's college babysitter would be more available? Her university could be joining the ranks of distance education. Wonderful that you can have a family photograph with those who will be there. Is there a color or clothing theme?
Great to get those refunds.
Audrey I was pretty shocked to "SEE" the empty shelves at Aldis. I needed milk, bred crumbs, and Parmesan cheese. I could understand milk being in demand, not the other two items. I guess that Lent played a role w/ more pasta and cheese dinners.
Cathy Good to take the precautions, but I bet you will miss the "girls." Wasn't sure when your DD's conference is in the UK. Is it off?
R jarred his neck on day. hit his head another day, and wrenched his back. So he was in pain & stiff, yet did not want to take a pain pill or Extra Strength Tylenol.
That your DBIL would be ready for another spine surgery surprises me. It was a rough go for R and this Nurse Cratchett even without complications.
Susi Glad that you could recharge with a solid night of sleep. I wish that I had been able to see mom before the closure. I am glad though that the nursing facility is taking precautions. Have a good Saturday!
LaDonna Hope that you all can relax at MB.

Lol June. When I got off the phone Carl clapped his hands and said good job. I've had lots of phone experience working on city government 23 years lol. I also fell into the night snacking.
Shower is done. Time for coffee.

Good afternoon, Ann - Bee - Becky - June - Audrey - Cathy - Susi - and AWF! Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1 and DSonIL. I wish that I had been able to see mom before the closure. Can anyone on the NH staff skype you and her? ππ΅ππππ΅π. WW workshop at 8 AM. Some folks came, checked in, and left - but quite a few of us stuck around. One of our Guides was the substitute Coach. Our regular coach was supposed to be in the second week of CPR training at the hospital where she is director of community services, but is instead there indefinitely as part of their planning team for the pandemic response. It ended up being very much member-led as we expressed our concerns about the overall uncertainty of March 2020. However, we insist that we "stayed on topic" - "5 Ways to Accept Your Imperfections" - as we shared how we were dealing with an imperfect world that is changing daily. Afterward, 11 of us went to our monthly breakfast - this time at Le Peep. Our grocery run yesterday was interesting. I had to cart-stalk someone in the parking lot to get a basket and then the real fun began. We did find what we needed (or suitable substitutes) and kept smiling and joking as we squeezed past checkout lines that surpassed Christmas and Thanksgiving crowds combined (I did get one group to start singing "Jingle Bells"). I bought a bit more of the typical kid food so we're prepared for any combination of DGSons. Township schools had early dismissal and the Mice split up, one having his friend Jonah over and the other going to play with Jonah's sister Natalie. Later in the afternoon the Kressling & I brought in Dominos. He stayed with us until 7:30 PM. Schools will be closed 3/16 to 3/20; I think they planned the closing so that today's SAT testing could still take place. The details of the cyberTeaching plan must still be figured out. Some schools are requiring an on-line presence at a particular time - tough with multiple students in the same households. We are having a problem getting Xfinity stream on Roku; it wants to be a subscription service now. I've let MissMouse know so she can check her boxes. This affects my TV in the living room but not Toots' music room or the playroom. Coffee's the beverage of the day... βββ... ππ·ππ·ππ·ππ·π Have a healthy-eating day, all! ππ·ππ·ππ·ππ·π

diva49, Your post re: singing jingle bells put a smile on my face LOL. Thanks, I needed that. With must thought I decided to text and cancel my hair cut/color for this Tuesday. I just don't feel comfortable doing things that I really don't need to do. Yes, my hair needs attention but it's not life threatening. When I start scaring small children, I'll reconsider LOL. Sherry understood fully and said that I'm not the only customer that has cancelled! We took LuLa for a hood walk. It's beautiful out there. I'll go again later. Right now I just loaded the instant pot with veggies and beans and I'm making soup for the week. Carl is outside blowing the sand into the street. It's a mess out there! They are going to street sweep April 1st. Wishing all a happy safe and OP day.
