Audrey it warms my heart that the kids are taking such good care of you and dh.
Whenever we are out walking LuLa makes sure that she greets everyone lol. She is not a barker which is good. She surely puts a smile on their faces.
Happy to say she is doing better. Hopefully she'll be back to her ol' self in no time.
I also read where a lot of hospitals are cutting back on surgeries. Such scary times....

Ann Lulu is one lucky pup to have such loving "paw rents."
Mj That sunbeam looks good on you! Yes, the disruption feels strange for those who are usually out and about a great deal. R & I actually have many elements of a camp or woodland experience-- fire ring, ample wood, wildlife, and trails to roam--in our back property. Will find more ways to enjoy them.
Audrey Awwww... that is just so sweet. Those are the memories that you keep close to your heart. Yes, after much dithering, the university suspended face-to-face instruction. We are all to switch to Blackboard online instruction. I have spent much of yesterday and today becoming more familiar with Blackboard navigation, usage, and copyright ramifications. I built some content for the first lesson within the course shell and sketched out a plan of action for future work. As much as I would like to KISS, that is not the option. Wonder what will happen when BlackBoard outages occur... Already tried of gobbledygook emails urging faculty to produce enriched, substantive student-based instruction without much time or guidance. After all, we are all in this together. . . except we are not.

June I do not envy you in this. I can't even begin to imagine your frustrations and also dealing with the emails. ((Hugs))

I’m in. Sunny and bright and looking forward to a quiet day tracking, hydrating and moving as I keep smiling and aim for blue. Have a healthy day everyone.

I was able to drop stuff off for Cheryl and pick up her laundry. My water heater was making strange noises when it kicked on but the technician couldn't find anything wrong. However he wrote up an estimate to replace it which I will do when the world calms back down. It's 20 years old and near the end of its useful life. On another note, my company has decided to close to the public for the rest of the month. Office and essential staff will work but staggered staffing, no lunch together and 6' distance where possible. If sick, do not go i. MJ - I'll bet it's going to feel very strange Audrey - Glad you had such a good time. How sweet the kids are! June - Hope you can get the remote stuff to work. Between that and mom it's got to be a real PITA. All NJ schools are shut effective tomorrow. Some are prepared with online teaching and others are scrambling.

Made it back from MB. All of the SPD festivities were cancelled but we had fun with our friends. Shelia and I shopped on Saturday while the boys went out on the boat and fished. We had a great meal last night of grilled salmon, shrimp, asparagus and roasted potatoes. I learned a few hours ago all SC schools are closed. Staff is to report to work for virtual planning, and meal preps for those in need. Will be busy but we are all in this together as we work thru this unusual circumstance. June, I'm a bit behind...can you see your mom? Or has visitation been restricted? I'm sure you will Ace the blackboard Ann, I haven't even thought about my hair appt on Tuess...maybe I should cancel, too. No green streaks for us! Glad Lula is almost back to normal. Bee, we need your prayers lady...more than ever. Prayers for you and yours, too. Becky, sounds like you are doing great! I know there will be soreness, etc but what a blessing to be ahead of schedule! Cathy, joining you in the oneday at a time and being positive. Susi, sounds like you got the moneys' worth out of the water heater. I have some house hold "to do's" that I'm also putting off until the crisis is behind us. MJ, thanks for sharing your DIL's blog. Such sensible advice. Audrey, so glad no community spread in your area. When we returned from MB today we learned there were some confirmed cases in the area. Glad to be back home. Kids are so sweet:) Pam, great job and attitude!

June, there’s a NY Times article reprinted in our local paper, “Not Everyone is Ready for Migration to Online College.” I don’t envy you. It will be so much extra work. Susi, the entire country is slowly shutting down. Our governor just urged everyone over 65 to stay indoors. Bars, pubs and wineries will be closed and there are restrictions on restaurants. Laura called and insists on doing all of my errands. Ann, thank heavens we can still walk our dogs. LaDonna, I’m glad you and your friends had a great time in MB. Our schools are closed for a month but they are still going to have some sort of meal distribution for the children. So many desperately need it.

I am also counting my blessings that we can still walk our fur kids. It feels good to be out in the fresh air.

Thx for reminding me about the delayed surgeries. My situation is nothing in comparison. I am just tired of the lack of leadership on all levels. After tomorrow's total waste of time meeting, there may be some concrete directives. If not, then I will take it as a green flag. I have two fall back scenarios in the back of my head for an outage.
Pam Hope the day was quietly pleasant.
Susi That will be a very strange work situation for you. Hope that the Covid-19 virus disappears by the end of spring and your resort can resume entertaining the public.
LaDonna Glad that you all had a relaxing weekend even without the celebrations. Here the bars & resturants here are closing at 9pm tonight. Some will provide delivery or pick up though. We rarely eat out. In part, because weboth are very good cooks. 😜
The nursing home closed on Thursday even earlier than they had said. We brainstormed some ways to support mom & stay in contact. Mom had her first FaceTime call today. I will try to think of some lil care packet to leave w/ the staff.
Audrey How very sweet of Laura to run errands for you.
I feel very sorry for public school teachers. The amount of material that they must prepare has to be staggering. And the need to feed disadvantaged school children is a concern as LaDonna noted.
I will look at the article. I won't be surprised if the reporter raises the same concerns that I have. I have a few contingency plans in mind for students' without computer or printer access. I have set myself down and talked to myself about realistic expectations. I may embed two document analyses in more than one lesson to cut down on preparing contextual material. I will use a different type of question for analysis that should deter plagiarism. I have ZERO desire to be fielding one case of plagiarism after another case of plagiarism.
