Good morning, Ann - Becky - June - Audrey - Cathy - Susi - Bee - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1 and DSonIL.
๐๐ต๐๐๐๐ต๐.
No DivaTaxi (Son#1 company-wide WFH). No MHMR or MH-ASR (DSonIL WFH; I think DD is off). We do not have any medAppts today. Feels like a holiday.
So what's on tap? A walk - it's sunny and beautiful today but rain's supposed to be coming in. I really need to make a comprehensive meal plan for the next couple of weeks so I can see what, if any, "food gaps" need to be filled. And it's time to put out a notepad for the ToDo List. We used to keep a list of minor things that we'd see needed doing but couldn't get to "at that moment". Time to take notes and catch up. And then some web-surfing to find a chair yoga video since I'm assuming that our Senior Center one tomorrow is on hold. And maybe one for strength training too; last week had enough "labor" to take the place of LA-F's sessions but I need to look forward.
Coffee... โโโ...
๐๐ท๐๐ท๐๐ท๐๐ท๐ Have a healthy-eating day, all! ๐๐ท๐๐ท๐๐ท๐๐ท๐

Bee, I want to play in the dirt too except weโve had rain and itโs too muddy. Too chilly here, still. Although Toots has been doing some cutting back of last year's growth.

Decided to go for a 'grocery run'. We made to and fro in record time! Still no TP but we are in good shape there, so no worries. I found people much more tolerant than I expected. I like the feeling of everyone pulling together in this troubling time.
Going for a hood walk and then will settle in and read a bit.
Take care!
p.s. love the avatar, MJ

The governor of NJ issued the following noon-ish Monday 3/16:
To slow the spread of #COVID19, I'm ordering:
โขClosure of ALL pre-K, K-12 schools, colleges, and universities beginning 3/18
โขClosure of ALL casinos, racetracks, theaters, gyms
โขClosure of ALL non-essential retail, recreational, & entertainment businesses after 8:00 PM
โขBanning gatherings of 50+
All bars and restaurants are closed for eat-in services effective 8:00 PM tonight. After 8:00 PM, these establishments may open for takeout and delivery services ONLY, until further notice. These restrictions exist during daytime hours.
All pre-K through grade 12 schools (public, private, and parochial) and all colleges and universities will close effective Wednesday, March 18th until itโs deemed by health officials to be safe for in-person classes to resume.
Weโve worked closely to ensure that the overall educational and individual needs of students can be met during this closure, including appropriate home instruction and continued access to free and reduced meals.
Starting tonight, all non-essential and non-emergency travel in New Jersey is strongly discouraged between the hours of 8:00 PM AND 5:00 AM. This will remain in effect for the foreseeable future. We want everyone to be home โ and not out.
Essential businesses which are necessary for the publicโs health, safety, and welfare โ like supermarkets and grocery stores, pharmacies, medical offices, and gas stations โ may remain open past 8:00 PM.
Effective 8:00 PM tonight, all movie theaters, gyms, casinos, and racetracks will close entirely until it is deemed safe for their reopening. Online gaming will continue.
Effective tonight, all other non-essential retail, recreational, and entertainment businesses MUST CLOSE after 8:00 PM. During daytime hours, these businesses may remain open if they limit their occupancy to no more than 50 persons and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
All gatherings of over 50 individuals are CANCELED effective 8:00 PM tonight.
We do not take any of the steps weโve announced today lightly. We know that these will impact residents and families, communities, and businesses. But our paramount concern is to #FlattenTheCurve โ these steps will ensure we do not overload our health care system.

MA has more or less the same, MJ. I haven't heard of over 60-65 quarantined and our governor has not being in a crowd ovet 25.

Gorgeous day outside. Supposed to have snow Wed and Thu. Donโt mind being cooped up at home. I was supposed to have a hair appt Friday but with thinking rescheduling makes the most sense. At least I am okay with waiting. KOKO Iโm tracking everything as I hydrate, and keep moving. Iโm smiling as I continue to focus on blue. Have a great day everyone.

Ann Thanks. It seems every day is so busy I don't always have time to post.It was nice with a day off. They only push the PT so hard the first 3 days. After that it's 1 hr/day twice a week until the follow up appointment with the surgeon.I decided I would go to HEB and WM with Kenneth this morning since he has been so frustrated after coming back home trying to do it all himself. He was concerned about how I would make it in the PU.I did really well at HEB.If I could have stopped then it would have been ok.However we still had WM to go.Unfortunately shelves were very bare at both places as I'm sure all of you can attest to.The produce dept was terrible looking, nothing in canned goods and I never even looked at TP.I was very tired and hurting by time we got through at WM but I think that would have happened with the car as well.I did tell him I may not go back this week depending on how I'm feeling.Depending on what we need he may be able to attend to the rest of it without getting too frustrated now that I showed him it can be done without getting upset and he doesn't get upset by much. One of our friends is one of the mgrs at HEB and I told him "I thought y'all were getting in a big shipment last night." He said they did.Just not enough. He also said he hated to say it but if people don't get there a little after 8:00(their new opening time for now)they would run out every day until this is over.
June I don't know if it's so much that PT CAN add 2 new exercises each session. They just do it.LOL.I told the weekend person she was a slave driver and a tormenter. She just laughed at me b/c she knew I was joking with her.I don't know who they will send out tomorrow.I am much happier with the pain catheter out.It wasn't helping anymore and kept bleeding. After I took it out the 2nd time it stopped bleeding. Now if I could just get rid of this dang old support stockings(or as K calls it granny hose) I think I would feel better but they stay in until I have my follow-up with surgeon.I can take them off at night and I may wait until after my shower and leave them off until morning.I have just been concerned I couldn't get them back on so I haven't tried yet.I did ride the electric scooter at both stores but it's actually more painful with having to stand up to reach a different shelf and sit back down so hopefully by the next time I feel like going I will be able to use a regular cart. Please take care of yourself as well.

Becky, donโt overdo it at the grocery stores. You donโt want a setback. It would be great if that store manager could put things aside for Kenneth. Bob is working from home now. Iโm trying to be quiet. It is still raining a lot and such a gloomy first day of house arrest.

Ann I understand about your walks being the highlight of your days.I miss mine so much but I know it's impossible right now.I did get up to 1000 steps 2 different days but not so much today since I have been so sore & hurting.I know I can't continue to eat anything I want which is mainly why I still limit the sweet desserts.I have been enjoying morning snacks of good OJ since our church member gave us over the weekend. It's Simply Orange which is rather high in sugar but I found some Simply Light OJ in HEB I will try after I finish this.It only has 1/2 the cal and sugar.K has been on a bacon kick lately so I decided to have a bacon sandwich with him for lunch and it's just too greasy for me since I'm not used to it even though it was center cut.I'm glad Lula is doing some better.
Audrey KOKO is a great goal any day.I pray for our health and safety also.Take care.
Cathy Yes One day at a time is my latest mantra. If I can't do it today there is always tomorrow. Some days I don't have much appetite and other days it is better.I'm not tracking right now but I don't feel like my eating is off the rails either. We have one grocery store which does pickup and delivery.Pick Up orders have their fee waived this week but right now the earliest slot is on Friday and we will need more food before then.
Thanks Susi. This is the home health part of the physical therapy.I don't go back for my pre-op with my surgeon until 3/25 and then home health will probably release me into outpatient PT by then.I don't blame you for cancelling your wellness appointment. It's always good to be aware and cautious.
Bee Our governor hasn't added anything that strict. The only thing we have in place is in Austin and they want gatherings to be 250 people or less.I'm sure more restrictions will be added. They did cancel the STAAR test and the SAT college entry exam I believe.

MJ I hope you were able to take a nap today.I'm sure it feels funny to not have so many things already planned to do.I hope you find some good chair yoga videos to do.
Ann Up .2 after snacking is nothing. You did well.
Audrey I don't plan to overdo at the grocery stores. This may be the only time I go all week.Kenneth was just so happy I felt like going somewhere and the home health aid had already said it would be good if we got out awhile.
