Ruth, good to hear that you did not have to take out much to correct for the mistake. This afghan seems to be moving along quickly - the words easy sailing are encouraging for sure. I am hearing that too that unless its really necessary a lot of doctor visits and procedures are being postponed or cancelled. Better safe than sorry. And don’t sweat it here, I can be lame brained and unable to make these darned computers work for me. Its a miracle if I can manage to make them do what I want

HGTV had some suggestions about spring cleaning this morning. One was to deep clean your refrigerator, one shelf at a time. That made me laugh because that's exactly what I have done over the last week. Gone are the days when I would or could tackle the whole refrigerator!
A state of emergency was declared for Bozeman and Gallatin County which means that gyms, health clubs, indoor sports arenas are closed. Bars and restaurants were already closed.
The young couple living across my back fence called to see if they could pick up anything for me. So thoughtful!
One of the uplifting stories yesterday is the bar/distillery in Atlanta that is making and giving away bottles of hand sanitizer. It's amazingly easy to make. 70% alcohol 30% aloe. What a great idea! I hope that happens here. We have several small scale distilleries here.
There is lots of time for crafting, but I'm fairly restless still and have trouble sitting still. Not usually a problem. I had a conversation with hb about his meds just now. He is very confused, but under the guise of putting vitamins into a weekly container to boost his immune system, I'm consolidating everything and taking over his meds. He thinks the mail order pharmacy just stopped sending automatic refills, so I have to unravel the real truth, as opposed to the truth of his imagination.

Sue, how great of your neighbors to do that. I haven't heard from any of my neighbors but then I haven't contacted them either. I always set up my dh's meds for him. He's perfectly capable of doing it himself but I do it so that I don't ever have to find a way to take over that task. I do need to inform him about things he's always left up to me just in case.
I'm not overly concerned about the virus. Maybe I'm in denial but I do think we're relatively safe here and I'm not going to go out unless this lasts for months.
In the meantime I'm doing my crocheting and will get to some of that deep cleaning and I need to defrost my freezer and small refrigerator freezers. I'll also start to work more on organizing the garage when it gets warm again. Yesterday and day before were almost 60 and now it's 23 and snowing

Today is DGD’s 2nd birthday- we will be seeing her to celebrate in a little bit. Hard to believe the little cutie is 2 already.
Sue, so sweet of your neighbors to offer to pick up supplies for you. And I love the hand sanitizer story. I have a bunch of large aloe plants here, could make my own hand sanitizer if I wanted to. Good for you sneaking in Dh’s meds under the guise of being vitamins. Works for me.....and I hope it works for him too. And yup, I clean one shelf at a time in my fridge. Why rush??
Ruth-I never cease to be amazed over your temperature swings.- I did you get much snow?? Hope you got your crocheting time in. I plan on working on the baby afghan tonight.
My personal opinion is that this virus is being handled in an abundance of caution so that the health care system does not become overloaded and overburdened. Overall, I think most everyone is trying to do the best they can- and I hope that things do start to return to normal in about 6 weeks.
Saw a lovely duck at the pond this am- will have to look up what it was as i have not seen this particular bird before. It was a large white duck with a black head. So pretty and then it flew away. See ya later Ginny

Think the mystery bird was a common merganser. Its the only bird that comes close to what I saw and they are seen in my area at times.

Happy birthday to that wonderful baby. I can't believe she's two already either. will you be able to see her today and give birthday hugs.
I think that a lot of people are doing thei best but there are still a lot out there that don't seem to understand the meaning of "stay at home". I guess to them their errands are crucial even though to the rest of us what they see as crucial some of the rest of us see as self serving and not at all necessary. I guess though that we don't know all the reasons behind what some people do but in going out indescrimately they are endangering us all.
Yes it's supposed to get up close to 60 again on Sunday. We do have drastic temperature swings which can happen in minutes
We too saw a bird yesterday that we had never seen before. I didn't get a very close look at him. I'm still trying to figure out what a bird was that we found dead in the road behind our house a few years ago and don't know why I didn't take a picture. The only thing I remember about it clearly now is that it had green webbed feet.I tried looking it up and couldn't find anything.

It sure stinks when you have a mystery bird- and cannot figure out what kind of bird it was. Green webbed feet?? Golly, I have no idea what that would be, but I figure you see lots of different birds than I would here. And You wish that the new birds would hold still longer to assist with identification. We went to DD’s to see little DGD and celebrate her birthday. Dd#2 and her Dh stopped in also (we gave them a ride home- they live about a mile from Dd#1). One upside of the sad events of Dh passing and its hard to believe its going to be a month tomorrow- is that we seem to be getting together as a family a little bit more. Life is short. the roads were pretty empty coming home from DD’s house. Unfortunately I have to head to the bank again tomorrow to deposit a check. And might attempt getting to the store - but do not need much. I have heard that the stores are restocking back to normal levels since all the panic buying. That would be nice. Time to sit and crochet awhile. Ginny

Hello Crafters Hope you and all your families are doing well and that none of you get sick. There are more cases every day in my state and area. I'm glad that I don't have to go out anywhere now. It's supposed to be 80 degrees here today and then back in the 50s this weekend. I prefer the 50 degree weather But we have a lot of blooming trees and flowers that are pretty to see. The Mystery Scrap Dance quilt I'm doing has another clue out today (there are monthly clues), so I hope to get those done this weekend so I can keep up with it. I also had quilt a few scraps and leftover pieces from the last quilt top I finished (the teal one), so I might try to figure out some kind of table topper with them. Take care everyone!

Phyl, It does seem as though your brother and his family have had more than their share of illness and sorrow
CJ, I'm glad you got the clues and color for the next month already. You'll be happy to bhave something to work on and to feel the sense of accomplishment
Well youln't you know..I for once got my taxes done early and now they're giving an extra three months. I could have really procrastinated this year. Still I'm glad I didn't. It's so good to have that off my mind.
We got snow during the night but not much and it's melting. The south east part of the state, though, is a mess so luckily we don't have to go anywhere on the interstate right now.
I've been working on my afgan and making progress. yesterday I worked on the shawl that I'm making because of the crochet group shawalong and because I want to make them as Christmas gifts anway. Mine will be more like trangle scarves so more of a decorative accessory much like the woman doctor that blinks so much that gives daily reports with the President on the coronavirus wears.

Good evening-
Phyl what a nice idea to give the cross stitch to Goodwill, if you do not have plans to use the supplies then this is a very nice thing. Think we all have to take things seriously and use good precaution these days. Think also the longer we use good sense and precaution the sooner this mess will be over.
Ruth, good to hear that you are making good progress on the afghan.
CJ- hope you can get the mystery scrap dance block done and I am sure you will figure out something creative to do with those scraps.
Long day for me- this Covid crisis has made my process of settling the estate a bit more complicated and phone wait times to speak with someone are LONG. I am tired- gonna go check email and sit down and crochet.
For those who watch Hallmark channel, they are showing Christmas movies all weekend, non stop. A nice treat to provide some stress free viewing.
Stay safe all Ginny

I talked to the Probate attorney for my sister's estate this morning. Her friend surfaced last night at midnight no doubt it was receiving the inventory of assets this week that prompted him to get in touch. He's still looney tunes. There's no problem. He's just a nuisance at a distance, thank goodness. Things are on hold for now.
I have to rethink my food delivery system. I was dealing with relatively little today, and the pain eight hours later is really bad. The T12 feels like someone is using a hammer on it. That's the old compression fracture.

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today Happy National Quilting Day 2020 I need to do some kind of quilting today, hopefully this evening. I did finish making the 8 half square triangles that were the clue for the mystery quilt this month. So I'm good for another month now. It was 80 degrees yesterday and today it's around 50, what a shock. I'm only going outside to get the mail and feed the birds. I do need to cut back the two ornamental grasses that I have - I'm working my way up to that since I hate yard work I hope you and all your families are staying safe and well. These sure are scary and uncertain times for us all.

Good evening.
Sue- so sorry you are not feeling well. WHile I do not understand your discomfort I do hope and pray that you can change your food delivery system so that it is easier on your body. No one likes to be uncomfortable. Good thing that the looney friend is at a distance...may he stay that way and stay out of your hair.
CJ- thanks for the reminder of today being national quilting day. (I celebrated by ordering a new cutting mat on Walmart today!). I hate yard work also.....but get it done before it gets too hot and its really uncomfortable. Glad you got those HSTs done for the month. Wonder what you will work on next.
Dd was here for most of the day. Many decisions need to be made (by her and her Dh) what they will do. We go on shelter in place tomorrow evening for Lord knows how long. Ds is in law enforcement, so he has to go to work. So it looks like I might be by myself a bit.....which is why I bought a new cutting mat. Fortunately I can still go outside and walk. And perhaps chat with neighbors at a distance. CJ said it right. These are scary and uncertain times. Just pray that this is all over with quickly and we can return to normal soon.

Good evening. Most of you are probably already asleep.
Sue, I'm glad the so called friend is at a distance and I hope this estate will soon be taken care of and can be off your mind.
CJ, glad to hear you got that block done.
Ginny, yes this time is hard for everyone but especially those that have jobs they rely on the support themselves and their families. I'm glad you got a new cutting mat. About a year ago I ordered one but the company must have realized that they made a huge mistake with price and soon I received an email saying it was not available although it was still on Amazon but for a much higher price.
DH got up right after I did so I didn't have my usual "me" time. We talked some then I made a few food things from the things we have on hand. Made some chili for dh with, of all things, pepperoni that was in the freezer and also home made pizza.Dh did some shopping but online. There are so many things that are out of stock on Walmart's site but that's not unusual for them. However most of the things unavailable today are things that you would expect people to stock up on during a crisis but normally don't...such things as dried beans, rice, and flour.I was surprised when he told me that they had lots of coffee available. I made my chili with dried beans I cooked in my instant pot. Some were cooked after the prescribed time and some weren't but since I was finishing it on stovetop it was ok.
So I didn't get to any crafting so far except to look at a couple posts on fb in the crochet groups. May I'll do some now that dh is taking a nap.
