Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Feel free to jump in and join us. All are welcome here.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good morning everyone.
Wow just wow. Things really turned up over the weekend, huh?
DH and I did go on our trip even though the cheer competition was cancelled. We had a VERY, VERY relaxing weekend at the beach. We did go out to eat and visit a few different places but none of the places we went to were very crowded. We definitely washed our hands a lot.
DD is not working for at least the next 2 weeks - I am trying to convince her to limit going out and if she doesn't to not visit our house because of dad. I am not sure she entirely gets it - but we will see. She is not very patient or comfortable staying in and not doing much.
I am leaving on Thursday to meet up with my sister and go see my mom's sisters. We are staying in the house that my mom grew up in. When my GF passed away my uncle purchased it and remodeled the inside. I have not been there since it was remodeled. I know I will feel close to my mom while we are there. There are a LOT of memories in that house.
Sounds like everyone had pretty good weekends.
Stay safe everyone.

Hi Everyone, First day of staying home from work. I wrote a few observations and will do some more later and maybe do one training online. I need to stretch them out as I didn't have any time on Friday to grab any of the forms or artwork to put in their portfolios. My sister said that she developed a fever and a cough last night. She wasn't sure what the temperature is but she is going to have her son go buy a thermometer. She isn't having any problem with breathing though. She is going to call her doctor soon. Yesterday both Target and the grocery store where I shop were out of toilet paper and practically all of the bread and no milk except the lactaid free milk which I was glad for my friend that they had that. I am not much of a milk drinker really and other than putting a little bit in when I make an omelette or to make pudding on occasion can get along without it. I bought some extra tissue paper and my friend gave me two of her rolls and I still have 2 so that should be ok as it is just me. I may go over to the liquor store and buy the liquor ahead of time for the Passover celebration. Philly hasn't closed their stores close to me but they have closed many of them in the areas where there has been the most cases. So I dont know how much longer before they may close nearby. I finished Little Men this morning. I want to order The Little Princess by Frances Burnett ( Hodge?). There is no point yet as the library is closed so if I request from the Interlibrary loan again there wouldn't be anyone to accept the book so I will wait. I have another book I have tho so will read that for now. Robin Md, I know you must be looking forward to getting your new dryer. Have a great day!

Jana, will your daughter get paid during her time off? Other than this going on right now now is she doing in her job? Does she like it ? I know it is challenging with having just special needs children. I have been there and even where I am now it is just as challenging as I have 20 kids. Why do they all have to need me at the same time?? I think it's for attention really. Its very frustrating. Ugh!!

Good Morning- I am sitting in the car while DH has neuro-fit. There are lots of precautions before anyone is allowed in (temp taking, etc) and NO visitors in the building. He is happy to get some exercise since everything else has closed. We will be doing plenty of hand washing and sanitizing when we get home. Waving to everyone!

Janet my DD will be paid for the time they are out of school. Like you, she has to do some work from home. She has her laptop and is updating IEPs, etc. I think she will probably run out of things she can do from home though. My DD is doing a great job but she isn't crazy about the job. To be honest though, she wouldn't be crazy about any job. If she could just stay home every day and be able to afford to do the things she wants to do, that is exactly what she would do. I have been to her classroom a few times. The kids love her, the principal loves her and the other teachers all seem to love her. She does create attachments with her students. Her classroom is a LOT - but from what I can tell, she takes it all in stride during the day and then does her best to let it all go at night.
All of our major corp offices are strictly work from home now. All of our field locations (me) are work as normal. They are replacing the HVAC system here on Wednesday so I will be WFH on Wednesday. We have also been told to make sure we are taking our laptops home with us every night in case something changes. They are also allowing some flexible work schedules for people that have children that are not in school. I have to admit, I am glad I am past that time in my life. I am glad that my kids are adults.
Today has been hectic at work and I haven't gotten a lot done. I need to get my nose to the grind and get some stuff done since I am off Thursday, Friday and Monday.

NY is one of the states starting an lock down of certain things as of 8 pm tonight, restaurants are take-out or delivery only, theaters, casinos, and gyms all have to close, not sure about other things. DS is on his way over to court to check about what will be on/open, and what will close. I was there this morning with a filing, and they let me take it over to guardianship court, but certain other things they are not, no name changes, for example.
Jana, glad you got away. Where do you have to go with your sister? Hope you enjoy and get to go. I can understand your DD, only because it seems like in the city it is the kids in their 20's who think nothing can happen to them who are going out and about, crowding bars.
Susie, glad your DH got to go to neurofit. Gyms here are ordered to close, along with movie theaters and casinos.
Janet, you are in for the long haul I am sure, like the rest of us, and things will start coming back to the stores for re-stocking.
Lora, I guess it's good that you are in a remote location not near too many others.
Also, no dine in restaurants here, only take-out or delivery. We are taking things day by day. DS had a friend take him today to pick up the stroller they ordered, the store usually stays open until 7 but was closing tonight at 6, and they are afraid they will stay closed. They are having their layette delivered, and all kinds of other things they ordered from Amazon. It's funny because they are telling us their apartment is filled. Of course they have to get rid of a queen size mattress that is in the baby's room, maybe that will help, but what are they going to do once they actually have the baby there?

Jana, by the time I got my post finished, you posted. You are glad that you are at your time of life, but for me, those years were like the honeymoon, I am pretty nervous about what is coming up.

Back from my walk...waved to some neighbors and talked to several staying at least 6 ft apart.
Jana - glad you were able to get away and had a good time at the beach. I hope DD will listen and not visit your home...at least she should enjoy this time away from the kids.
Janet - enjoy the time reading and snuggling with Cassie. I sure hope your DS is OK.
RobinS - I guess everyone has a lot of adjustments when a baby is coming. Are DS and DDIL are looking for a bigger place? Both of the gyms we go to are closed. The place DH went this morning is actually a rehab/hospital type of facility...that is why there are no visitors allowed. We do not know if he will be allowed in next week or not. I know they are being very cautious.

Susie, they just moved into a 2 bedroom, but keep in mind this is Manhattan, so it's not big. Babies do take up a lot of room!

I didn't get out until kind of late. I didn't end up doing that much work. It seems like it wasn't only me that didn't have any time to get anything together. Does 20 minutes seem fair to expect us to get anything to take home? In order for me to do anything on my portfolios I needed to pull one out from the drawer, pull form I needed and then gather any art work. While I had some things collected together it wasn't all that much so I dont think I would have gotten much accomplished. Our director said maybe they could open up the center for a bit to go in and get some things but then later said if they opened it up they'd have to open it for the kids. The governor said all schools were to be closed tho. I will continue to work on trainings, lesson plans and whatever else I can think of but won't do more than one training per day to stretch it out.
