Hi owls & hens. Weather sure a change from the last few days.Above freezing today. Feels pretty nice after the past few days of extreme cold.
Found out the pain I'm having is not sinus related. It is TMJ (temporomandibular(sp)joint disease) Long word which means I have inflammation of the joint in my jaw. Not sure what causes it although arthritis is one of the things that can be the cause. There is really no cure just pain relief and not eating anything hard, chewy or tough. That means soup and jello for me for a couple of weeks. That and an anti inflammatory which I'm already taking.
Got done with that and then went shopping and out for lunch with a friend. Had tomato/basil soup for lunch at Bakers Square. Picked up a couple of Christmas presents and got my haircut. Busy day and I'm pretty tired. Dave is gone for his union Christmas supper. Glad he could go. He really scared me this morning. His blood sugar dropped too low and had to get some sugar in him fast. Strawberry jam works well. He also took some glucose tabs and had some carbs for lunch. Have a good night. bettyj

Ouch. I get that now and then since the cap way back in mouth while the levoquin was still affecting tendons. I feel your pain.
Glad you got to do your stuff!
Planned on movie but DH not feeling well. Made the sticky cranberry gingerbread and it did not really rise this time. I have a feeling I left out either powder or Sosa while I kept getting interrupted in kitchen. Oh well lebkuchen can be dense. It is for pot luck Christmas party tomorrow. I missed last year going to Tucson for funeral.
Lot of pollution...inversion with warm weather and clouds.

Was a wonderfully warm day today. Melting all day with icicles dripping and nearly all dry walkway to the garbage bin. Got card and dishcloth ready for the gal who delivers the groceries and the store manager. Groceries come tomorrow. Knitting dishcloths for the family holiday party at DDs 1/8/2017....that looks strange to write 2017....☺
Don't know a whole lot so will sign off with a Christmas wish for you all. We are blessed indeed to have Christ's birthday to celebrate. Enjoy family and friends as you celebrate the occasion.

Betty R, Merry Christmas to you. I have a couple of your dish clothes and a tote. I think of you every time I use them.
Christmas shopping all done, without leaving my living room. Love, love, love it. Amazon Prime, no shipping charges, all will be at their destinations before Christmas. Remember years ago the song was let your fingers do the shopping through the yellow pages, now I do it through the keyboard. I checked the traffic near stores I may have gone to, yuck. I do have to pick up an RX at Target, dread it.
Betty J, sorry about the TMJ, take it easy. Try soft scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, be sure to get protein in. Do you have an immersion blender? You can make soup with a lot of veggies and blend it. Also, smoothies with yogurt and protein powder are an option too.
Good talks with friends and family today, and looking forward to some better weather, hate gloomy and chilly. But didn't have to turn on the furnace, that's a good thing.
YOu all have peaceful dreams.

Good evening,
The new walk in shower in master bathroom is all hooked up and ready to use. The guest bathroom one piece shower/tub, huge wall sheet mirror, toilet are all torn out and gone. Tomorrow starts rough plumbing, framing and installing of the drop in soaking tub. So excited!!! Tile will be installed on shower walls the beginning of January. Still need to finalize tile choice. Designer is coming Thursday.
Betty J - I have TMJ. Changed my sleeping pillow and rarely have a flare up now. Hope your husband's sugar level stabilizes. That is scary.
Jeri- I also bought all gifts online except 2. Was all shipped to my house and giving them in person. I loved this.

Betty J, sorry you are experiencing pain especially at this time of the year. I hope you make a quick recovery. Geri gave you some good tips for food that you can eat and stay healthy.
Linda, I love ginger bread. My mother used to make it. If I made it I would probably be the only one here eating it. I have a family with strange tasted.
Betty R, It is so good to see you here. I have missed you. I hope you are keeping well. I am glad to see you are still knitting. I am sure the people you are gifting will love the dish cloths you make for them. I have been reading a book through Advent Holidays to Holy Days. It points out everyday things that we overlook that are part of our Advent preparation for the birth of the Christ child. May you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.
Geri, good for you getting all your gifts on line. I have donre all my shopping as I don't want to have to go shopping this wek if I can help it. I will miss DGD and her DH this year. She is 35 and this will be the first Christmas she will not e here. They are leaving for Georgia tomorrow to spend Christmas with her in laws. Which will be nice for her DH who has not had a Christmas with his family for a long time. IU just have a very small family here most of my relatives are in the UK. But I will enjoy a quiet Christmas and DD will be here...I think. I still have to work that out.
Deco lady, I am sure you will be very happy when both your bathrooms are finished. I had both of mine done and I was very pleased with them. Will they be finished before Christmas?
Time for bed. I wish you all a good night. Sleep well.
