Day 28 – Get Ready to Weigh In
Tomorrow weigh yourself and make it on your chart if you are keeping one. Beck suggests not doing anything today to monkey with the results tomorrow. She also reminds us that if we lost a lot that doesn’t mean we will keep losing at this pace, if we lose too little remind ourselves the we are losing weight so the plan is working and we should celebrate any weight loss, if you don’t lose or gain weight remember there are other reasons your weight might be up, if after another week it doesn’t fall call your coach, also look back over your behavior this week and see if it needs some tweaks.

I weigh daily in the morning to keep track of my trends. My official weight is late afternoon on a Monday. That was when I was weighing in at my WW meeting, now with virtual meetings I weigh in at home and track in on the WW app.

I used to weigh myself daily but I only recorded it in my calendar. I would see if I gained and then try to fix it before my next weigh-in at my meeting. Now that I have a digital membership only, I weigh daily and record it with the Beck participants, on MFP and in the WW app. It keeps me honest and accountable.

I weigh most mornings and know exactly (most of the time) why the number is higher, lower or the same.
Currently I am telling myself there is no reason to go "hog-wild" with calories and ingest more than I need.
It doesn't always work. Yesterday hubby wanted to use up the "aged" labneh before it went bad so I got out the recipe books, found out how to make yogurt sauce (cooked), added some water and the other ingredients, made the sauce and even knowing it was higher in calories than I might need - enjoyed it. In this time of not knowing when the next groceries will arrive it seemed wise to use what we have in the house and not throw them away. It was full fat and not nonfat. That all said...I should have stopped at one serving but went back for a second
Anyway...it is what it is...

luvvinlife, I've been taking my measurements with a tape measure for years. I think I started when I would go on vacation and not have access to a scale. I find body measurements are much more stable than weight. If the measurements start to go up then it is a wakeup call for me to straighten up and fly right.

I always WI Friday mornings, with as little clothing as possible, and after my 'morning meetings' (hey, you'd be surprised how much a 'meeting' can weigh!). Annnnyway, I try now to celebrate even a .2 loss because a loss is a loss and not a gain. If I remain the same as the previous WI I tell myself that is practicing maintenance, and if I gain I ask myself what I might have done to cause that gain. Nearly 95% of the time a gain is directly related to me over eating and/or not exercising my normal amount.
