Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Feel free to jump in and join us. All are welcome here.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good morning friends.
I woke up at 3:30 and wasn't able to go back to sleep so I got up and started working. I will take off early this afternoon.
RobinMD I hope you were able to get everything set up and it works smoothly for you. The soreness was from working in the flowerbed. Just goes to show I really need to get some sort of physical activity in.
Susie what did you find to get into yesterday. I think we are going to have some more gloomy weather today.
Waving to Lora and ATF.
Today and probably the next few days for me is going to be budget, budget and more budget stuff. My favorite time of the month.
This morning I am thankful for my crazy dogs who keep me smiling. I am thankful that my office is set up and that I have my office chair. I am thankful for coffee. Funny thing - when I was working with the department regarding the donation to the local food bank, I saw on the list of donations they had donated to Coffeeville - I can't remember what state it was in but I thought I want to live in Coffeeville! LOL Sorry I got side tracked when I remembered that.
I hope everyone finds some sort of joy today. Do some sort of self care! These are scary times and we need to do something for ourselves during this time.

Hi Everyone, I am planning to drop off the tablet at the house of my trouble boy. Ha! I heard him in the background saying he already had a tablet when I was asking him if he was behaving and he said no. I said then if you arent listening to your mother she will be not able to let you use this tablet. She was telling me just before we left school that she had enrolled him in a boxing class to help burn off some of that extra energy. I just hope that when he comes back that he doesnt box the kids. I should ask my sister if I can use her computer for a while today. I need do work on a lesson plan for next week. I just have to make some modifications. I am not really following it all that much but as I have thought of things I have sent even if it hasnt been on the topic of insects. Other than that I am going to finish the 10 hour online training that I have been doing over several days. I was almost finished yesterday but I was trying to get into the zoom room ahead of time. I think that I had somehow cancelled it and that is I was having difficulty. I am thankful for having friends, family and my silly funny baby Cassie cat. Have a great day!

Good morning Jana & Janet and ATF! This morning I am grateful for HOT coffee, a fuzzy robe and the sun rising. It's freaking 40 degrees (wind chill of 36). Brrrrrr! We switched the HVAC over to A/C last week when it got into the mid 80s, and hadn't had the need to switch back to heat, so waking up to 60 degrees in the house was a chilly start to the day. Seriously though, after the clouds and rain yesterday, the sunset last night was beautiful and almost fluorescent pink through the clouds. IDK if it comes across that bright in the pics I posted, but it was beautiful and inspiring. Jana - so glad you got your work chair. That will make a big difference for you, especially since it's looking like this WFH thing will be going on for a while still. Janet - so happy that you're getting so much accomplished this week! We are supposed to get up to 60 today, so hopefully I'll be able to catch a little outside time this afternoon. Okay, it's time for coffee #2. Have a great day everyone. Stay home as much as you can & stay safe. Much love to all! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A positive mind finds opportunity in everything while the negative mind finds only doubt & fault.
When life gives you a hundred reasons to break down and cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to be grateful. Find the good, practice gratitude and you'll move closer to peace.

Good Afternoon Everyone...busy today ("almost" back to normal - ha ha). I slept in, but then got up, dressed and had an LLI Zoom class on "Quirky Elections" - today was 2004, next week is 1960 - pretty interesting. I fixed breakfast for DH and finally got my coffee. Then I took a walk and when I got back it was time for an LLI Pilates class over Zoom...cheez that was tough! I will be sore for sure. DH had a couple of classes today too...chair yoga (some he could do and some he couldn't), and a genealogy type class. I decided to cancel my Dr appt for Friday, and rescheduled for May. My dear Stitch Therapy group has made over 300 masks. I asked if they could make a mask for DH (just in case) and 2 were brought to my door this morning ! Awesome ! I had them make the kind with a pocket since I found 2 hepa filter vacuum bags in the closet that I can cut and slip the filter inside. Of course, I hope I don't need the masks at all.
Jana - glad you have something exciting (budget, budget, budget - ha ha) to keep you busy. Hey we can commiserate about our soreness tomorrow...at least you accomplished something with your gardening.
Lora - I do not like this cold and windy weather... I had to bundle up to take a walk.
Today I am thankful for Zoom and that we can continue with some classes. I am also thankful for heat ... DGD showed me that her dog is laying in front of the fireplace on a towel - ha ha ha!

Good evening everyone.
I just wanted to check in. Today I went back to tracking my macros and staying under 20 g of carbs a day. All my other macros are kind of out of whack but I am under 20 carbs. The first 3 days are always the hardest but I need to turn myself around.
I also fell asleep this afternoon around 2 p.m. and slept until 4 - oops. I did get up at 3:30 this morning and start working. I hope it doesn't mess with my sleep tonight.
Susie it is so sweet that they made your DH a couple of the masks. I love how you are staying busy. It is supposed to be super windy here tonight and tomorrow.
Lora hope your coffee was warm and just right today!
I will be back tomorrow. Good night all (well not really good night - I am going to color or something- I just can't with the TV anymore LOL)

Hi again, Got to the boy's house but it took me longer than I anticipated. Partly because I was trying to avoid getting on the expressway. I know I ended up going farther than I had to but I got there. Came home, had lunch and then decided to walk over to my sister's to use her computer for a while. I planned earlier when I came home to go to the pharmacy but since it took longer this morning I went to after I was at my sister's. Lora, maybe you could help me figure out another technical question. I actually did figure out the other one I was planning to ask you about. I usually see the amount of power in my phone up at the right corner next to my time. Now I cant see how much there is. What can I do to see it again? Susie, glad you are busier again. Jana, hope you managed dealing with your favorite area at work. Not! Have a restful night!

Happy Hump Day,
Everything worked fine today. I need to get up a FEW minutes earlier, to get the dogs fed before I start firing things up! I forgot to include that in my morning agenda....I made sure the coffee pot was ready, though. That's the most important thing after all! Anyway, my programs worked well, and the phone connection was great. There was some confusion on how we were doing things, but a lot of funny messages going back and forth between us! We got a good rhythm going, and I think tomorrow will be fairly smooth. Lora, the sunset was beautiful. I think the colors were vibrant in the photo. I can imagine how breathtaking it was in person! Hope you get dry, sunny weather tomorrow. Janet, great job on getting those tablets out. I had to laugh about your problem child taking boxing! Hopefully he won't be practicing on classmates... Jana, hang in there with that budget! I hope it goes better for you this month, than it did last month.
Well, not much else going on around here. I think I'll sleep better tonight, now that I have the first work-from-home day under my belt. I wasn't really stressed about it, but I kept thinking about having to still get up! Silly. I will be back tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great day, and keep staying safe,
RobinMD

Well right now school is being called off indefinitely so there is a chance I may not see him unless they go back and extend school. We have air conditioners in our school but most dont so it would be too hot. I really hope that he wouldnt start boxing kids. He was alresdy hitting and kicking the adults and the kids already.

Jana - yes, the coffee was PERFECT this morning. I hope you get a good sleep tonight.
Janet - Try going to "Settings" on your phone. Go to Display. Then go to Status Bar and you should have an option to "Show Battery Percentage" and make sure that toggle switch is turned on. Hopefully that works. It might be different on your phone, but that's how it works on mine. If that doesn't work, tell me what make & model your phone is. And I'll see if I can figure it out. Sometimes those settings get turned off accidently.
RobinMD - Yay!!! So glad to hear that everything wend smoothly today. I agree, coffee is a top priority here too! Thanks, I got another great sunset tonight. Totally different, but for me it was just as stunning.
Susie - Oh! I love that your group is doing such a wonderful community service, and it's extra special that they made masks especially for DH.

Janet - Our whole state cancelled school for the rest of the school year late last week. Most of the southern states seem to be doing that. Glad you don't have to be worrying about your little boxer any time soon. Ha!

Thanks Lora, That is what happened and now I see it. I was in the display part but didnt see anything before that seemed to relate to that feature.
