I will plan, track, hydrate and move as I can.
The pain and torture guy will be here in early afternoon. I am J/K about the torture as he knows how far to push to optimize our time together. He seems to be a good fit for me but Kenneth has been my biggest cheerleader. I praise God for his support and love.
Happy Friday friends.

I did go in for my cardiologist appt Thursday. She is referring me to a surgeon and its her belief that I will need to go ahead and get the valve replaced. I've been seeing her for 15 years so I'm trusting her judgement. I, however, will want to see two surgeons and get the opinion of both to see how they think I should proceed. There are so many ways to approach this. Best case scenario I can do the TAVR procedure which is minimally invasive. It's relatively new so not sure if it will be an option. I hope so.
Bee, thanks for the start and getting me thinking on what needs to be done to be my healthiest for heart health.
Becky, the love and support of a spouse is a beautiful thing. So glad you have that.
Ann, that reset has been getting a workout at my house. I really need to give it a break LOL
Pleasant dreams all. I pray all of us will be well and our friends and family members.

My BIL will be going home Friday morning. My sister and their sons (and my BIL) are thrilled this surgery went so well. He is up and walking, has a big back brace, still has the drain in and if it does not come out before he leaves my sister will be in charge of keeping an eye on it and removing it when it is time to do so. Everyone is eager for him to get home. My sister said that my BIL told her that the nurses are really busy because all patients in the hospital were emergent cases and not elective so all have to be there are are mostly critical instead of just healing from non life threatening medical situations. Anyway, they are off in the morning as long as things stay as they are now.
My husband said he wanted to "freeze tomatoes" so I looked online and told him that he would need to blanch, quick-cool in ice water then stem and core (perhaps peel)a and he opted not to after all
This morning I decided it was time to buckle down and REALLY keep my food journal the way I know I have to to get the weight off. I need to write down food, amount of food, points for the food and be honest about it. So, breakfast is recorded and 30 minutes of walking has been done. Need to come up with a lunch that is OP and then a dinner and record them and keep moving forward!
SUSI: You are a good friend...to humans and ferals Glad you have so many things to keep you busy and focus your attention on. How long till you will set up your summer pool?
MJ: Homeschooling is a challenge no matter what. I wonder what will happen to the students caught up in this crisis...how many will make it through okay and how many will have to repeat a year. Crazy times! I agree that having fresh produce is a game changer! I am sure your garden is looking lovely!
JUNE: I have no idea what today's lunch will be. I might use some of the tomatoes and some onions with either hummus or baba ganouj in a can if my husband says that is interesting to him. We will see. I am not sure about Zoom, either, but it was so nice to talk to my sister! She and I couldn't seem to make WhatsApp work so this was her suggestion. Some are doing meetings and exercise and all sorts of things using zoom.
ANN: Waiting to see how the virtual meeting went. Is there a limit to the number of virtual meetings you can attend and can you attend any in the USA or just your local one? I saw your update...glad you were able to attend.
BEE: I hope that I will be joining you in being more energetic and dropping some pounds now that I am journaling more honestly. What is the difference between bread pudding and bread custard?
BECKY: Just curious...how is post-op pain different from pre-op pain? I am sure pain is pain but is there a difference in the two?
AUDREY: I like the sound of Instacart. I hope that they have food you want/need and that you find it a good way to get groceries. I am glad you thought it worked well and that your young shopper (where do they get them from?) was able to interface with you and get your approval on what was purchased. My friend did that by sending photos and asking me using WhatsApp.
PAM: Hooray for all the positive things in your life!
LADONNA: Glad you had your doctor's appointment and now have a plan to move forward. I will hope you can have the less invasive procedure and find a good surgeon to do the procedure!
I have a YouTube mix playing in the background and it is OLD oldies and so nice to listen to! Right now it is The Righteous Brothers but the mix is: Mix - Jewel Akens - The Birds & The Bees
AND on that note...am heading upstairs to figure lunch out!
Have a good sleep and wake refreshed and eager for another day!

WTG Bee! That's the real battle. Becky - Someone who pushes you right to the brink but not over is a gem. Continued progress! Ann - Thank goodness for a reset button! Prayers LaDonna. Second and 3rd opinions are always a good thing. I pray the minimal invasive procedure is an option for you. Cathy - Such good news about BIL. Prayers continue for his good recovery. LOL on the tomatoes! Unless we get an abnormally warm May, the pool will not be set up until June. I'm in. I sadly learned that my favorite take out place ended up closing last Saturday so dinner is up in the air. If I can find a duck breast at the supermarket today, I can do my version of the duck buns and I have a tasty Lean Cuisine version of the spring rolls in the freezer.

Good morning all. I'm most grateful for another good sleep. Waking up refreshed rules LaDonna I am happy that you have such a great fit with your cardiologist and trust her judgement. That's good that you are going to scope out 2 surgeons and go with the one that is the best fit for you. Praying that you are a candidate for the less invasive procedure. (((hugs))) LOL to that reset button. Great way to put it. I went overboard on the snacks. Normally on the last day of the week I limit them...last night I did not! Cathy so happy DBIL surgery was such a success. Praying that the drain comes out before he is released. Will he have nursing care at home for awhile? I remember once when we were gifted with a LOT of tomatoes by a guy that used to grow them in our retirement community. I froze them and it was a lot of work and very messy. I wouldn't do it again, but that's just me Yes you can attend as many virtual meetings as you want to...and go to whichever one you want to attend. It was fun seeing my leader's face Susi so sorry that your favorite take out is closed! I really feel for people with businesses these days...so much will be lost. Enjoy your supper. As for me, I shall face the music, hit reset PTMH and KOKO. Will CBL.......

Bee Thx for the start. I was busy checking on my students both nights. Keeping a forward focus will help!
Becky ππ πKenneth's care of you-πππ Am sure that he wants "his girl" to get the best care-- his! Glad that you could continue PT with the trainer who challenges you.
Ann I think my reset button shorted out the last two days. Looking for my spare button now! Hope that today brings you good walking weather.
LaDonna Am glad that your cardiologist has your trust. it helps. Will pray that you find the right surgeon for you. My limited experience w/ R's cervical procedure is that the specialist who does that type of procedure can get the insurance's approval.
My reset button was throwing up smoke signals--maybe it was an SOS smoke signal?

Good morning, Bee - Becky - Ann - LaDonna - Cathy - Susi - June - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1 and DSonIL.
ππ΅ππππ΅π <miss my monkeys> ππ΅ππππ΅π.
We stayed up too late again last night, LOL. PBS had an Auschwitz survivor program and then yes, we watched TWO Midsomer Murders. So we slept well and got up late.
Today is National Find a Rainbow Day... if it's not raining too hard, I know we can walk around the neighborhood and see many, MANY rainbows posted in windows by our home-schooled children.
The sun's gone back into hiding and the rainclouds are with us again. The temps will be 40s-50s and that wind's still supposed to be around (it made for a wild day and night yesterday, with the trees whipping and the wind whistling). It also pushes the pollen around, for sure!
Too cold to garden yesterday, so we just watered the butterfly bush. Today I want to put in the three coneflower sprouts that we pulled when transplanting. I just need to pick the place; it will only take a few minutes of work.
I attended two webinars yesterday afternoon/evening, from 2:30 PM to after 6 PM (left it running on my kindle) and 6 to 7 PM. That certainly filled a bit of time and left me with "stuff to consider and stuff to do".
But first, it's time for coffee... βββ...
π±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ± Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! π±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±

Cathy Such promising news about your BIL. Thx for sharing the positive news. Your DS will be relieved to get him him where she can take care of him. Bless healthcare & supporting workers in hospitals.
Ha ha ha. . . Here's my method of freezing tomatoes on their last legs for soup-- Remove stem, cover with plastic wrap, and toss in freezer. To use in soup, remove plastic. Toss in pot. Before serving, fish out skins in with a long handled fork.
I still have not investigated Zoom. Likely will get to that task once I have less school work.

Bee - Sounds like you're feeling some better; I'm so glad!
Becky - I continue to be impressed by how fast your progress is!
Ann - PTMH & KOKO sounds like a great P L A N; I'll join you.
LaDonna - I'm glad that you trust your cardioDoc, but also that you want a second opinion.
Cathy - So glad to read that this surgery for your DBiL has gone so well.
Susi - We can only hope that these closings will be reversed, eh?
June - <waving away the smoke from your reset button>
BTW: Our school district (fiveBoyz) announced that they will "close" only on 4/13 & 4/14 and have classes the rest of Spring Break week (they were having a half-day on Good Friday anyway). Marking period closes today. The last marking period will be pass/fail for elementary school but no changes in grading announced for middle & high school.

Susi Am also weighing the idea of hitting a grocery store today. Know that you will be as safe as you canbe. I would rather not go over the weekend. Hard for restaurant owners to find their way at this time.
Ann Ha ha ha. . . I like to get pumped up with the song "And I would march 500 miles". . . Peppy beat, I can march to it, and belt out the chorus. Something, something works for whatever words I do not know.
Mj Those grass roots signs of hopeful communities warm my heart. Locally a family made colorful Easter Bunny yard ornaments & posted a sign for anyone to take one. Good that you found online activities & goodshoes to watch.

Okey dokey Was swamped w/ school work and phone calls yesterday. Plz send prayer for my niece w/ the larger family & her children-- 4 more kiddos are sick. Plz send prayers for her sister. The bladder cancer had invaded the tissue of her husband's removed kidney. He will undergo a scan next week. Luckily they live where there is a Cancer Center of America. Also saddened by the deaths of two men who were part of my dept. over the years.
I think I know where my spare reset button is. Am going to slap it onthe kitchen counter & use it.
Will continue to wear my jeans. B/c pjs, sweats, or leggings are just toooooo forgiving.
