Accountability Friday --- the Tin Box SLID ... staying away from that bread custard sure helped, I am sure. Coming off sugar, to me , is like coming off drugs. JMO
Becky, so glad your PT Feller is a good fit for you. It is good that Kenneth backs you and cheers you on. Sounds like a good plan.
Ann, my RESET button needs to be replaced, I've hit it so many times. BUT it still works!
LaDonna, praying for you as you seek other opinions and options. Sure hope the new less invasive thing can be done for you. My Mom had a valve replacement in 1990. She did extremely well.
Cathy, so excited for your sister and BIL that he is going home. A bread custard is slightly different from a bread pudding in that you use less bread and a dozen eggs. It may just be a Cajun invented recipe by an lady who had very little bread but lots off eggs and wanted to make dessert for her family.
Susi, sorry to hear your favorite place closed. Gonna check into that Lean Cuisine dish.
June, LOLing your RESET button sending up smoke signals.
MJ, not sure I shall find a rainbow today, but am always on the lookout for one. Hope y'all enjoyed sleeping late.
Am off to see what is happening in the neighborhood. Today DGGD is 6 years old. I will be resisting cake. This too shall pass.
Hope AWF have a great day!

I've got the at home workday started. Coffee - check It will be an OP day because it is just too important for it not to be. Nuff said Cathy, so happy for your BIL and family! Great news! My DH canned some tomatoes last year. He didn't grow them but bought from the local farmers mkt. They have been wonderful to have. One of our favorite ways to eat them is just simply over rice. They are also great to get spaghetti sauce started, chili, etc. Susi, Oh no. So sorry about your fave take out place. This is all so unsettling. I don't know what these people are going to do. I'm so blessed to still be working and making regular salary. I was talking to our superintendent yesterday when I went in to print checks and he's concerned about school funding for next school year, and future years after all of this. It is going to have repercussions for years to come for all. Ann, thanks:) waking up to refreshed rules sounds like a great way to get the day rolling June, so funny! I needed that laugh this morning. I'm sure mine has been smoking, too! Prayers for your sweet family. MJ, I'm also going to look for rainbows today. They are everywhere! Sorry they aren't going to get the whole week for spring break. Our kids will only be getting food services that week. They'll get a break from lessons. Bee, thanks for letting me know your mother had a successful replacement. Hearing things like this makes me feel better. Good for you passing up the custard.

Lots of posts to read as I was lolly gagging over my second cup of coffee and chatting with Carl. It's pouring on and off today and that will be our forecast. Right now it looks like the sun wants to come out. Whether or not it makes it is to be seen. If it does, I'll walk outdoors, if not, I'll either pop in a DVD to move to or some upbeat music and walk/dance. I need to do the M of the equation LOL. June great song for moving. (((hugs))) keeping DN in my prayers. Sorry to hear about the 2 deaths in your department. LOL to the reset button. It's become my BEST FRIEND these days. I start out good....then nighttime comes, tv goes on and well...y'all know happens then.....When Carl went shopping solo he came home with jelly beans......I think he thought that the Easter Bunny would not make it! sheesh...and those are my favorite little suckers to pop in my mouth! We managed to go through more than half a bag! Gee.....so that's where the .9 came from I shall do what I need to do today to rectify that situation. I'm also going to put on the jeans today. Great idea. Those leggins tend to grow with ya....in my case especially in the belly area! MJ enjoy digging in the dirt today. I will see plenty of rainbows in my minds eye only! Doubt 'll take it out today, but how knows! I also have the door to the screen room opened to let in some fresh air. It helps to air out the house every once in awhile. Bee happy bday to DGGD. Good luck resisting that cake LOL I think I'll shop Amazon for a new reset button. Won't hurt to have two of them going at once Enjoy your day. LaDonna you are so right. It's too important for today to NOT be a good OP day. Right about now, food put in our mouths is the ONLY THING we have control over! Waving and wishing AWF a great Friday! Keep looking for those rainbows and that silver lining......Stay safe!

Checking back in. . .
Bee Yay on seeing the TB sit up and fly right! Sugar has been a real bug-a-boo for me. My relationship w/ sugar this week could be surmised by singing to country song... "I have been looking for 'love' inall the wrong places.
Maybe I need to go old, old school-- and sing "I've been working onthe RR all the live long day"
Congrats to DDGD on her birthday. Dodging that cake is a good idea. Maybethat is hitting the shiny "PRESET" button.
Ann Oh that Carl. He felt like bringing seasonal cheer? Seasonal candy-- especially if it is shiny foil and/or sale or bargain prices are triggers for me. I like the cinnamon jelly beans. Am lucky that those cost more and are not shiny.
Upbeat music does make you want to move. If it's 70s,thenyou could be groovy as you move & groove.
LaDonna We will be here to support you every day! Lean into us for encouragement and support. Ha ha ha... heard that there was an unlimited, free for asking Reset button.

Bee, happy birthday to your DGGD and thanks for our start. DH is eating cookies I had in the freezer which don't tempt me at all. I asked if he wanted me to bake something fresh and he declined, which was good for me. Becky, great that you have a good person for the PT and a fantastic cheerleader to encourage you. The pain and torture are definitely worth it in the long run. LaDonna, I am glad that you trust your cardiologist and will get two opinions before you decide on surgery. We have known many people who have successful valve replacements. Cathy, it is wonderful that your BIL is coming home today and that your sister will take care of him. I hope he continues to heal. We only grow cherry tomatoes and they freeze perfectly. You put them on a tray in the freezer to harden and then just throw them into bags. They are good for soups, stews and crock pot dishes with no parboiling, coring and peeling needed. Susi, I am sorry your favorite take out place closed but the creative cook in you will make great meals as always. MJ, glad you could sleep late. We won't have any more rainbows till early next week. Our schools are now closed for the rest of the year. June, I am so sorry for the loss of two people in your department. I am sending prayers for your niece and her family. Ann, I hope there is a break in the rain so you can walk outside. If not, enjoy your dancing. Pam, I went through a period of having several bad falls but it has been a year since my last one. I am so cautious when I walk now.
I am jealous of all of you listening to music. During the day it is very quiet here because DH is working at home. Currently he is watching a two hour webinar related to new rules affecting the SBA. We listen to music when we have dinner and last night the Spotify playlist was called "comfort songs" all James Taylor. I am going to order a takeout Easter dinner from Pardini's. Jim Pardini is the father of Jimmy who owns the Annex Kitchen and he has had the best catering business in town for 50 years. It is the closest place to where we live that has good food and the main course will be a smoked spiral ham. The meal is picked up curbside a week from tomorrow with cooking instructions. There's asparagus, scalloped potatoes, rolls and an apple crisp for dessert with enough to serve 4 so plenty of leftovers for Bob. Last night I did Face Time with Laura and she and her family are ordering the same meal so although we won't be together in proximity it will be like sharing an Easter meal.

Ann Love that you could dance. walk, groove inside even if the rain drops kept falling. You would know that things were really, really, really stressful if I ate black jelly beans. But the idea of them make me smile because they were Dad's favorites. Io often bought him a bag sold as a charity fund raiser-- a win win.
Audrey That's hard if you can not have some separate space for doing something besides being quiet while DH works. I go into my study and shut the door. At the most, I sometime have to ask R to turn the TV a tad. Thx for the good wishes. My two GA nieces have their hands full right now. At least the widespread denial in GA has meant that both nieces could be at the hospitals w/ sick loved ones & my SIL could help w/ the grands. FYI: I do not agree w/ with the GA governor's approach. I can only pray for their safe keeping. I can only count my blessings for living in a state with arguably one of the best crisis management teams in the nation.
What a great way to enjoy a special Easter.

Pam Loved hearing that you have not fallen recently. So glad that you & DH could do a tele-visit or whatever it's called w/ your doctor. Great DD & DH team tag for shopping! The last two times DH just drove while I popped inside. I am a much faster shopper.
Nice to think that would have chosen to stay home yesterday.

Susi There are a number of digital coloring sites, find this objects, MaJong (Sp.?), and tours that might occupy her time.
The nursing home where my mom lives is offering bingo, sing alongs, and close circuit worship. Residents stay in their rooms, but sit at or near their doorways. Mom says that she can at least wave at and laugh with a few of her friends. I sent my Mom a word search, paperback, inspirational coloring book, and a sticker book since they nursing home banned visitors a month ago. The sticker book has faces and animals on which she can stick mouths and such. I thought- maybe she would like it, may be she won't.
I also sent mom some foam ear plugs because she lives across from a women how cries out "help, help" a lot. Poor mom, she did try to calm the woman down. She was successful a few times. But it happens so often now & there is no physical escape for mom, so her patience has been exhausted. Hoping that mom can master the foam earplugs & that they help.

Yabba Dabba Dooo It stopped raining enough for us to take a quick hood walk. I can't tell you how good it felt to get out there and smell the air. It drizzled at times, but I didn't care! My hair is so OUT THERE that a little rain didn't matter at all LOL. I also attempted to give myself a manicure! All I can say is it's a good thing that I am NOT going out in public Nuff said. Audrey I would be lost without listening to music. When Carl has on a something on TV that I'm not remotely interested in, I plug myself into music and sail away. It's most definitely a mood lifter for me. Glad that DH didn't want you to bake. I was tempted...but declined! I don't need it, and Carl has plenty of his own 'goodies' to keep him happy. That is awesome that you ordered your Easter dinner. We already have a ham in the freezer that I 'found' yesterday. That along with some type of potato and veggie will be a good meal. Nice that you and Laura and family will be enjoying the same meal LOL June, now they no longer mix the black jelly beans in with the other ones. The entire bags of black are very hard to find. I did find them before via Amazon but I won't do THAT again lol. I'm also a lover of black licorice I remember using that as an excuse to ward off 'hot flashes' as I read somewhere that they were good for that. I would eat them and flash away at the same time LOL.....That brought back a funny memory and I'm all about that these days. Also, those sound like very thoughtful gifts for your DM. I'm sure she will like them and praying that she masters the ear plugs! I have sensitive ears so I can so relate to the shouting. It does exhaust patience! Hopefully I'll be able to get out again for another walk. If not...that's okay. I'll finish my movement inside

Taking a work break:) Ann, fruit is helpful for me if I have some to help with the night munchies. Right now I have apples. I love grapes but haven't bought any lately. You're right we can control what we put in our mouth, so let's exercise that right June, you are hysterical! That song fits the situation perfectly! Bless you mama for trying to help calm the woman. A funny story about my brother's dad, Homer. When he was at Rehab a few weeks ago his roommate was having trouble breathing (was on oxygen) and was trying to call for a nurse or some help with no success. Homer also tried pushing his help button but no one came. Homer told the man not to worry he'd get someone in there and he called 911! That got them jumping. I guess it should not be funny but my Mom and I have had several good laughs over that. Audrey, thanks for telling me about all the people you know that have had successful valve replacements. That Easter meal sounds great and convenient. I've got a ham ready to purchase in my next online order. I'll come up with some sides. DSs birthday is also on Good Friday. He will be the big 30.

LaDonna - I found that very funny! I usually do a spiral ham and leg of lamb for Easter but both are too big for just Carol and me. I will make the traditional risotto and probably filet mignons and asparagus. No need to go overboard this year. We'll do a cousins gathering when we come out the other side of this.

Homer sounds like my kind of guy!
We're having ham for Easter. We "earned" one at ShopRite and the smallest I could find (the day I went) was 10 pounds. Fortunately, Toots loves to have 1/2 ounce (yes, really - weighed) in his daily eggs, so he'll have stock for a looong time. He talked me out of another turkey breast, LOL.
The Kressling told me that Ciocie Shell wanted to gather at Easter but DDIL said "I don't think so!"

Fridays are FREE for me ...
Okay, June. I created. I made a little smokies and sweet tater stir fry. Also a green pea salad.
