I never did get back to post on Friday so I won't even attempt to do all personals.
LaDonna I hope you will be able to get the minimally invasive procedure.LOL on Homer.
Cathy Great news on your BIL.The pain now is more due to perhaps straining or overuse.
Susi Sorry about your favorite take out place.
Thanks MJ. I really made good progress today but will probably be pretty sore into tomorrow.
June Prayers for your niece and her sister.
Bee Yea on the tin box sliding in the right direction.
Ann Glad you got in a hood walk.Black jelly beans don't tempt me TG.There are other things that do however.
Audrey Glad you and Laura's family will have the same meal even if you can't be together.

I will plan, track, hydrate and get in some house walking. We have a 60% chance of rain Saturday.
Friday was busy.We went grocery shopping and there was a line but it moved quickly and I found everything on my list which rarely happens anymore.PT was here in the afternoon and he tested my progress. When we first started my balance was a 19 out of 26.Today it was 24 out of 26.He said he had to take off 2 points because of my posture. He knows I have scoliosis and also said he knew it was something he wouldn't be able to address.Since we were expecting rain he wanted me to walk outside.I walked to our road gate and back which is about 500 steps. My knee is stiff now since I also did exercises while he was here.
I am scheduled with him 3 x week through first week of May.However he said he didn't think he could justify it for that long because he was limited in the types of new exercises for me to try.He wasn't going to report I walked that far because he was afraid they would dismiss me from home health care and he wanted to try to keep me on for a couple of more weeks. That would be 6 more visits and I should be stronger by then. The PT center at my surgeon's office is closed and the one in Elgin isn't taking clients right now so I will take it however I can get it for now.God is good.

June, sounds like good plans.
Good report, Becky, on your ability to move.
I will do as I have done all week, be AWARE, WILLING and ABLE.
Didn't have to turn down cake, as they just did the cake for their household. RAH, RAH, RAH!
Hope AWF have a great day!

I can do better than I did yesterday...the sun is shining and the reset button has been pushed!
Yesterday I was soaking in the tub reading in the afternoon when my husband brought in my cell phone. A friend was coming with vegan/lenten kibbeh in two frozen packages that was a gift for us to bake whenever we want to. She also had eggs from her chickens and a couple of bottles of wine. Hubby went to the gate for the goodies and when I got out of the tub I dealt with them. How nice of her to do that for us! She also told my husband she put our name on the list of people to receive something or other from their political party...food, cleaning agents, TP, or perhaps something else...no idea what.
My sister is home. She said her husband was able to get into and out of the truck on his own and was as thankful to be home as she was. So glad he had an easier time this surgery!
I have an email saying that I can reactivate my nursing license without having to do the continuing education hours. I am guessing there is a need for nurses in California and that is why they are waiving some of the requirements.
SUSI: Good luck finding something tasty for your meal since the take away place closed. Your Easter menu sounds scrumptious!
ANN: The tomatoes are being eaten quickly so don't think we will need to freeze them. I have canned some in the past...might do it again in the future if we end up with a lot of them. I can just see you popping licorice jelly beans as medication for hot flashes
JUNE: My reset button got lost somewhere...I like your way of freezing tomatoes...I think there is no room in the freezer for anything right now so won't tell my husband how easy it can be Do your nieces children have covid-19 or just more normal stuff? No matter what it is being home with sick children is never easy! I hope the bladder cancer did not spread further...guess the scan will show what is what. Sorry about the deaths of your coworkers. Life, illness and death from the usual reasons continues to occur though most of the focus is on the virus rampaging through the world. Hope the earplugs help your mom sleep! What will happen to the garbage if there is no pickup? I know what happens here in Lebanon - it gets stinky and piles up and eventually rats can be seen running on huge piles of the stuff.
MJ: What kind of webinar information did you listen to? My daughter said that university students can opt for pass/fail instead of grades for the semester due to the situation.
BEE: You had me chuckling about needing to replace your reset button...mine might need to be replaced, too I wonder if I should make custard or flan...we have so many eggs at the moment! Bread custard sounds delicious! Happy Birthday to your granddaughter!
LADONNA: Did your husband can the tomatoes whole or puree them and make sauce? I have wanted to try making salsa but have heard it is trickier to can than some things. I hope funding for schools is not lost! Isn't it crazy the way our children are little one day then adults the next time we turn around? My daughter is forty already and my son two years younger so both getting up there! Too funny about Homer calling 911...too bad my mother didn't think of that long ago when her nurses didn't come. She called ME and I was ten minutes away and got there before the nurses did!
AUDREY: I will have to see if hubby is growing any cherry tomatoes...if he does and we have room in the frig then perhaps I can freeze some this summer. How nice to be able to order and pick up then cook your Easter meal and not have to shop for all the ingredients on your own!
PAM: Good to see your post.
BECKY: I hope that soon you can get back to "normal" use of your knee and not have to overdo it with PT. It sounds like you have a good PT and he will get you as strong as he can before you are cut off from home visits.

Goooood morning
Ann Sorry to hear that neither you nor Carl had a restful night. Maybe a comfy recliner will call your names for an afternoon nap?
Bee Yay. . . Take that mindset into the weekend. Am laughing. . . The easiest sugary treat to resist is the one that never knocks on your door and asks if it can come in, pretty please.
Becky Whew! Adding a PT evaluation to regular exercises really put you through your paces. Sounds like you did very, very well. Cathy What a lovely gift from your friend. Kindness. . . that is one of the bright spots we can let shine brightly. Hopeful that your "mystery" gift from the local politico will be useful.
Wonderful news about your BIL. Your sister has to be over the moon to have him home & doing well. ( I know that spinal post op isrough. But having a post op without the nightmare complications has to be better).
Whether or not it isCovid-19 is not clear. The baby's who was first sick tested negative for coronavirus. Tests, however, are not 100% reliable though. All the other children also having respiratory issues. The second youngest is the worst now. Am praying for the best.
For us,the worst will be that the local recycling centers will be over run. I told R that will will wash, flatten, and store the recyclables out back. We usually do not generate much collection garbage at all. Others who do not compost organic materials, recycle plastics & glass, or burn paper will be worst off.

Cathy Yea on the sun being out. It's rather dreary looking here.Nice of your friend to bring you goodies.Great news on your DBIL. I hope he continues to do well.I do have a good PT. He has been doing some kind of therapy for 16 years.
Ann Sorry you and Carl didn't sleep well.I am rather tired today also.I think it's partly the weather.
Susi He will give me as many weeks as they will let him but I think he is limited in what he can do.Maybe you can get a nap in today.
Thanks June.Yes it was quite a session yesterday but a good one.I'm doing a lot of icing today.Praying for the children. Our local recycling closed yesterday until further notice.

Itβs another routine day for us. Bob is gardening and Iβm doing laundry. We are supposed to have 3 days of rain beginning tomorrow. It was sunny when we walked before breakfast but now the sky is gray. Dinner is grilled tri tip with broccoli and salad. I may bake 2 small potatoes.
