Okey dokey Am finding that I am more restless since I have less schoolwork. Have decided that I am going to acknowledge that feeling and tell myself to put that energy into a physical task. I also see that I could use a schedule even if it a loose one.
I channeled some of the restlessed energy to a full santization of the kitchen. So that was a plus. More of that coming.

I will P,T,H and move during the day in the house.
My knee has hurt more Saturday but I'm sure it's mostly sore from Friday.I don't know if an artificial knee can react to weather or not so I'm not going to blame that.It has been cool and dreary skies here so have not walked outside but have gotten in steps every hour so I don't get too stiff.
Sunday morning we will listen to 2 different church services on Facebook. One of the pastors used to work with Kenneth years ago so we like to listen to him also.
Sleep well all.

Thanks for our start, June. I always have a little โto doโ list. Even if not done in a day, it keeps me aware of what needs to be done. Becky, enjoy the church services. I have two artificial legs and I donโt think weather affects them. Has the PT person started you on the bike. It is so hard at first but thatโs what makes the knee flexible. KOKO for me today with lighter meals than the past two days. Not sure how much rain we will get in the next 3 days but it may affect my outside walks.

Audrey The home health PT can't start me on the bike I don't think especially since mine isn't very comfortable.I can't go to outpatient PT until they start taking new patients again.Even the surgeon's PT office is closed until all this blows over.Hopefully you will get in a walk before the rain hits.

June, I never realized how much I judged who I was by the work I did, until I retired. What an adjustment it was. Always be aware that you're more than what you can do at work.
Becky, hope it's better soon. Sounds like a plan.
Audrey, I also have a list of 'to do' things. And some days I do none of them. BUT They do make me aware.
I can do what I know to do.

June - Hang in there I too will listen online to church service tomorrow Becky. Hang in there with the knee. KOKO is good Audrey Hi Bee. You can do what you can do Carol and I took a bike ride this afternoon and then had a happy hour after in her yard. A local beer and raw veggies and dip were delicious. It was nice to be out in the sunshine today. Dinner was seared scallops with sauteed baby bok choy and garlic smashed Peruvian potatoes. Tomorrow will be a huge pan of caramelized onions for the week and for onion soup. I am keeping new watching to a minimum to keep my stress levels down. I just want to know what is necessary for now.

Saturday started out sooo simply...
We had our 8 AM WW Virtual Workshop, and it was good to see our "usual crowd" checking in - even a gal whose medical issues had been keeping her away from the butt-in-the-chair gatherings for quite a while! She had been in the hospital a couple of weeks ago for pneumonia (neg Covid-19); lucky gal since she has other things going on, plus has her (serious) weight issues. We were keeping up with her on our FB page and were DELIGHTED to see her on ZOOM. It occurred to me that when we're back in the studios we could Facetime or Skype her in, if she can't get there.
I have NO idea where the rest of the day went! We spent most of the afternoon in the garden - the front yard so we got to talk to lots of walkers and I met our new up-the-block neighbor and her pup Leonardo. He came over (long leash) to sniff my knuckles but I did not pet since my hands were grubby and wild-onion-y. And we had a really long chat with the pharmacist two doors down, who manages more than a dozen Stop&Shop pharmacy locations. He has a pharmacist who's recovered from Covid-19 and is cleared to come back to work, and two locations (her original workplace and one closer to her home) refuse to work with her. Is that how things are going to be? "Scarlet 'C'" on everyone who tries to return to work?
Our evening's been quiet except for a text flurry with Son#2 (we are missing out on the manual labor of his latest project at The Plantation) and another with my WW Breakfast Group.

Wishing all a beautiful and peaceful Palm Sunday. I'll look at our church's online service which will be our pastor and our music director playing some hymns. I have an online groc order to pick up and after that I'd like to just get out and take a drive somewhere. Never had a chance to post on Saturday's thread. I spent my Saturday cleaning and spent some time outside with Miss Lucy. Cleaned off the porches. Would love to have some plants for my patio and porch planters. Take good care my friends

Scale is up but I knew it would be...made pizza from scratch for lunch and had half the pizza then had pasta for dinner...so...today back on track. There are beans and I will make some grain and see if there are veggies for a salad to have on the side.
Today I will:
* have a fruit and/or veg at every meal * think before I eat * balance the plate * walk 30 minutes (minimum)
JUNE: You are not the first person I have seen that feels having a schedule of some sort will be a good thing.
BECKY: You are wise to move around a bit every hour. I am hoping that the pain will subside soon. Someone gave my husband pedals that sit on the ground (under the desk or in front of a chair) that he has never used. I wonder if something like that instead of a bike or stationary bike would work and if your PT might have one to loan you or one to recommend. I hope you have a day of "rest" and can regroup before your next PT session.
AUDREY: I didn't realize that you had replacement joints in your legs...knees or hips? Interesting that you found the bike to be the best exercise to keep the knees flexible.
BEE: I don't think that I worked in one job long enough to define myself by my job/profession. I guess my main identifier was mom/wife and then later it was educator/nurse. Now I think it is life long learner, reader, reviewer. I have also had stints as creative type with painting, needlework, cake decorating. I suppose it is a blessing to have had an eclectic background...
SUSI: I think you are wise to tune out on the virus thing. I was checking it often and all it did was reinforce how quickly numbers rise and that there is no quick solution. Your outdoor happy hour and tasty meals sound divine! My friend is a treasure...so glad we met.
MJ: Your time in the garden and walk with chats sounds enjoyable. I have read that covi-19 can linger for five or six weeks in the body of a person who has recovered and doesn't show symptoms so sort of understand why some would be leery about working with a recovered pharmacist. Scary times. Kind of reminds me of the AIDS epidemic and how everyone was worried to be near, touch, whatever someone that was diagnosed with it.
LADONNA: I hope they were able to find everything on your grocery list. It must be a stress reliever to have Lucy there.
JUNE: It is scary having children very ill. I remember taking my daughter in, being told it was a virus and to go home, she got worse, called the nurse, she told me to tough it out - it was a virus...two weeks later she was some better. I then came down with VIRAL pneumonia and so did my son. We were treated but I am pretty sure that my daughter had it first and was shunted to the side... I hope the children you know will do okay.
Today will be a good day - hope to talk to children and grandchildren this evening. I wonder what fresh greens hubby will bring in today?

MJ - We also got to wave and chit chat from a distance with some neighbors. Glad you had some quality time with Lucy and some fresh air and sunshine. Cathy - Hope you do have a good day. I am currently tuned into mass at the Vatican but will watch my home church service later. It's so odd to see the church empty. The watermelon radishes are HUGE. I will use one in a salad and will pickle the other one with some carrots and red onion for banh mi this week. Oh, I got my bone density results: Compared to the prior study of 2015 there has been a 7% improvement in your spine and a 4.6% decrease in your hip. Overall, your bone density is better than average for your age.

Bee Thank for caring about me. ๐ My restlessness has several sources. I always have summer off, so this feels almost like early summer. Am working on the one that bugs me most. When I was swamped w/ school work, I could use my work to escape R's constant TV watching p I seriously can not have the TV on that much. I talked to him about that factor of my restlessness and he was onboard w/ a new approach. ๐
Here's to doing what we know to do.
Becky Would be very nice to participate in a TV service presented by someone you know. This surely is a less than ideal situation for your rehab. I am glad that you have an experienced PT who can guide you. My mom had the little pedal device. Think we ordered it form W Mart for under $35. Was small. She stored it easily under her kitchen table.
Susi Glad that you have your sister so close to you emotionally & physically. Nice to be able to relax as you did. I also just follow enough Covid-19 news to stay informed from credible sources.
Mj Looking into Zoom is on my to do list. Getting to a meeting would help. Allegedly it is how you set it up that helps or hinders security. We talked to our neighbors yesterday too. Was nice.
LaDonna Sounds like you had a great Saturday! We took a drive yesterday to a country bulk store. We drove there on the highwayand the country roads back home. I needed a few things that I only buy there. I think that one thing that is wearing is that I like being independent, which means driving here & there at will. Cathy Great goals! Am happy that you have such a good friend. Our neighbors have offered to pick up anything that we want.
Yes, I feel like I am about three weeks behind the "get adjusted to the new reality" curve. I am ready to make this time a more productive one. And R will be ok with "helping" that happen.
Viral pneumonia could be at the heart of the outbreak in my niece's home. I will keep praying for the best.

June - Continued prayers for your family. It's hard to figure a new normal. I just made a mask out of an old bandana for going out.
