Happy Sunday all. Finally I got a good sleep in and feel human again Today I shall PTMH and call a few friends. We heard from a neighbor last night and had a pleasant three way conversation. It was refreshing to hear her voice Susi that is wonderful that you got such great results from your bone density test. Nice you got to enjoy a beer and chat with Carol Bet that felt good being out in the sunshine and getting in that bike ride. Cathy yes pizza and pasta happen. You have a good plan in place for today. Enjoy your day. LaDonna wishing you and your family a happy Palm Sunday as well. Nice that you will listen to a service. MJ that's wonderful that you were able to see so many familiar faces via zoom workshop. Happy that your friend is virus free Bee I too had several lists going on. Sometimes I get to actually DO them....however I agree..they do keep me aware. Becky that is a great question. Wonder if the weather does make it hurt more. I know my implants do NOT like the cold weather. Hopefully you will get to PT once this all blows over. Hang in there. Audrey three days of rain is hard to deal with. Hopefully it will stop for a bit each day so that you can get outside. June you will find a new lifestyle to channel your energy. It took me awhile to get used to not working...but it will happen. Waving to all and wishing all a wonderful and blessed Palm Sunday. Take care.

Friday we had a horrible ordeal with water issues. I was washing clothes and heard a gurgling sound....the washer and both toilets overflowed. We had a good inch of water in both bathrooms and kitchen. I worked at sopping up the mess with towels. Carl was on the phone calling for a plumber. He reached one and they came on Saturday. He looked under the house (we live in a prefab) and one section was filled with waste! We also had to call service pro to come out and clean under the house! All is fixed. We have 4 HUGE fans under the house and those need to be on for the next 4 days. We can't use our dryer as that outlet is what the fans are plugged into. New normal? You bet...but we'll get through this. Not sure whether the retirement community will reimburse us for the plumber and at this point I really don't care. He said there is a 'pipe issue' with the pike going uphill and that added to the problem. He is going to get in touch with the office on Monday. It was just so overwhelming that I couldn't bring myself to write about it as that would make me think about it if that makes any sense. Thanks for listening....it's okay here now....God is good

I can certainly understand that being overwhelming, especially right now. At least it is fixed.

Susi I was caught in an alternative reality of doing my job with a crushing amount of work. Deciding to go a different way, changed that quite a bit. Now I made another adjustment that reduced that time commitment even more.
Unlike most, I really have never had a set schedule. My class days & times changed every semester. I have never had to use an alarm clock. I can, and do, tell my self when to wake up. Unless I am very sick or tired, I am surprisingly accurate. But now with so much unsettled I see that I do need a schedule.
R & I are going to the local bike trail for a walk. Hopefully it is too chilly for most people. We will move of the trail if we need to do so.
Gotta go layer up!
If it really gets bad, R has two industrial respirators for close quarter paint & other fumes. Wearing those now would frighten pepole though. We have bandannas & elastic hair ties. I will make up a few of those until my sister sews us the washable masks. We also have used face shields & wrap around that R needs to clean for us.
When I shop on M or T, I am going to shop for 1 1/2 to 2 weeks for produce & milk. Will freeze milk maybe...
Hugs & prayers to all who are finding their footing.

Ann wonderful to chat w/ a friend at this time. Understand completely why you needed some distance from the water debacle before your could share. Glad that you could get it fixed.
R & I were just talking about the eruption of drainage, sewers & septic issues. R has done a lot of maintenance on waste water plants so he understands things that I do not. Apparently, even if you do not, more people are using wipes, reading that they are biodegradable, and flushing them down the toilet. That creates a problem on several levels of the draining system. Clogs can happen at the regional waste water plants, the city waste water system, and so on down the line. Something a neighbor flushes could impact your drain. Pbllllllllllt!

I know what you mean, June. I have a VERY HEALTHY RESPECT for those that deal with that on a daily basis. We were fortunate to have it done. Only problem is, the humming of the fans under the house are lulling me to sleep Maybe that's a good thing LOL. Our neighbor texted us yesterday as she could see the men working all dressed in white! I texted back GHOST BUSTERS lol...we got a good laugh out of that. Gotta find the humor in it or go crazy!

Good Palm Sunday morning, June - Becky - Audrey - Bee - Susi - LaDonna - Cathy - Ann - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family...
ππ΅ππππ΅π <miss my monkeys> ππ΅ππππ΅π.
I attended an 8 AM WW Workshop, to center my eating plan for the coming week. Updates in both Zoom and WW made for a few <oy> moments (couldn't get the video enabled) but I sorted it all out.
Next, I'll be seeking out a πΏπ΄Palm Sundayπ΄πΏ service. The palm cross I got at the farmer's market is already standing in the bay window.
After yesterday's yard work I am all congested and sniffly but that's OK. Today will be a Day of Rest (except for the usual Sunday CinderElla/Fella chores). And I hear there's a NASCAR iRace (can't keep those good ol' boys down). Dinner will be a "thankful" turkey breast with roasted potatoes, gravy, and broccoli.
Sipping my coffee... βββ... savoring the day...
π±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ± Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! π±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±

Ann I am so very grateful for those who are working doing necessary jobs. Who ya gonna call? Ghost Busters!
Mj Enjoy your services. My sinuses have been acting up for about 3 1/2 weeks. They are not liking the leaf mold. Enjoy your iRace.
One of my concerns right now is the severe disadvantage of those who are not able to access the WWW. For some local libraries were providers of internet & computers. Now what?

June - Glad you were able to steamline the crushing about of work and manage it manageable. I find I get lost without some sort of schedule. Hope the trail is empty so you can enjoy your walk. MJ - I watched Mass from the Vatican earlier this morning. They will probably rerun it a few times. Perhaps you could watch your church online. My does them live in FB and they remain up on the website to view at leisure. One pan of caramelized onions is now onion soup simmering on the stove. The double burner pan of caramelized will take longer. I also have the a watermelon radish, thin sliced red onion and shredded carrots pickling. I'll bake some chicken thighs for banh mi sandwiches for work this week.

RE: the sewer/sewage problems Our mayor regularly reminds us (on his daily call/FB post) that flushing anything but toilet paper creates the potential for not only individual house line problems, but for the wider community as well, as the lines leading to the treatment plant and the plant itself can be compromised.

We share septic with our neighbor. Have no control of what they choose to flush.
Your veggies sound great Susi.

We were able to walk Lily Belle before the rain began. It seems that we are getting bands of showers so I can possibly walk her again. I washed the sheets and am now doing towels. I have to finish the grandchildren's Easter baskets and then figure out what else to do. Becky, the bike will be there when you can use it. Exercises we did 3 times a day for a year was holding on to a counter and extending the leg in 4 different positions, front, back and each side. As we were more flexible we held on and did squats. No equipment needed for either exercise. Susi, great bone density results. You and Carol have found good ways to relax and enjoy meals together. MJ, no names are mentioned for those who have tested positive to prevent discrimination when they are well. It also has to do with HIPPA rules. LaDonna, enjoy your drive today. Cathy, I have two knee replacements and Bob has one. All three had great outcomes. Ann, I am so sorry for your water issues but glad you had a plumber. We are going to have to call someone to check out our dishwasher. There is water appearing on the counter and another issue with the detergent. June, I am sending continued prayers to your niece and her family. Bob is working from home so I do not turn on the television until the local news is on at 4 p.m. It is on later but I cannot hear it when I am fixing dinner. Fresno State has decided to just give pass or fail grades for the current term. Our son is one of several techs preparing laptops and sanitizing them for district students who do not have them and the district is also establishing several hot spots for those who do not have Internet access. I cried when I read a story of a woman in a homeless shelter whose 14 year old son is in need of a computer and is making up stories using his imagination. My next door neighbor is making masks today for Bob and me as we are not supposed to wear the N95 masks reserved for health care professionals. Bob's cousins wanted to send us some from North Dakota but that would be difficult for them. I no longer have a machine.

MJ, no names are mentioned for those who have tested positive to prevent discrimination when they are well. It also has to do with HIPPA rules. The two pharmacies' staffs know who she is - how could they not? Reality/fear trumped HIPPA rules when her name appeared on their schedules. Our neighbor is getting the company's HR people involved.
