Susi I too wish that people would stop being so selfish and follow the rules. If not this is never going to end!
Pam your post made me
Carl is busy making bread. We ran out...the last of the bread was on the stale side, so we threw it out for the birds in back of our shed in a wooded area. I'm sure someone will enjoy it.

I should have taken notes when I read through the posts. Oh, well. We had rain during the night and it woke up Bob but not me. He did not sleep well at all. He had pain in his hip and ankle. He has had a lot of pain lately and I am sure he needs x rays but that won't happen for a while. Susi, I am so glad Cheryl is able to go home and that she has a caretaker who will help her. Ann, I hope the insurance agent gives you good news. Cathy, so sorry the leak is continuing. I could not stay up so late any more. I actually seem to fall asleep during anything I want to watch later than 10 p.m. Perhaps you can nap today. Pam, I always have a glass of water at breakfast with my morning coffee so I can remember to do it throughout the day. LaDonna, that is a wonderful thing your church is doing. Enjoy the sidewalk art. Ann, your home must smell wonderful with the scent of homemade bread. Becky, I will only be able to do the walks while our weather is cool. We have been fortunate to have these rainstorms that have brought cooler weather. The great thing about chili is you can use anything you want. Corn is difficult to digest. Waving hi to Ann, June and MJ. Hope we all have another healthy day.
Rachel sent a photo this morning of her 19 year old cat Sophie trying to chase away a duck from their pool. It is could to know that Sophie still can be a hunter.

Audrey just loved the story about sophie trying to chase away the duck. Thanks for sharing. Yes the house smells wonderful with baked bread. Hopefully I'll be able to stop at ONE slice! My scale moved downward this morning and I'd love to keep that trend going...time will tell lol. Sorry your DH didn't sleep well. It stinks that he is in pain and can't get to have xrays done. So far we haven't heard from our insurance company today. I guess they are still assessing the situation. The guy that is the maintenance man for our property drove by and looked from the curb...sheesh.....I guess it would have put him out to actually get out of the truck and take a closer look! I am not going to dwell on that as those kinds of things drive me nuts! ServePro will be here tomorrow to pick up the fans under the house. They gave us a window of between 10-12 and she said probably happen at 11:00. We don't plan on being away from home, so whenever they get here is fine with us. I'll be doing laundry tomorrow after they leave. At least I'm spared today lol. Our sunshine is gone but it's still pretty nice out there. I was able to take both walks with just a hoodie on. Will CBL

Ann ha ha ha. . . there's a whole lot of stuff that filters through this ol noggin. My favs involve song & dance routines 😉
Bee There are no perfect solutions, I am afraid, for NOLA. Or maybe there are none that are affordable and acceptable. I honestly do not know much other than what I gleaned from Katrina.
Susi They found the dog. Between my inner thoughts & messages and school work this has been one busy noggin today.
Arghhhhh. . . that is the most frustrating part of all this. What if we all listened to and acted on the best medical advice? My head hurts at times.

audrey Loved the Sophie story.
Pam good to keep your focus on drinking water. Thx for the good wishes.
Ann That inspector must be related to our county inspector for the waterproofing job. We paid $60 for a permit & inspection. Guy looked at a 10 ft section out of 2 1/2 walls. Hmmm.... I wonder why R had to dig up a corner. . .

Susi, the mayor of Perth Amboy tried to be proactive against what will undoubtedly be a challenging Holy Week - the ethnic groups that have a strong presence love their mega-processions and outdoor re-enactments and celebrations, and the waterfront is its own draw, including fishing off the docks. She issued a shutdown order but was forced to rescind it.
We have a waterfront park in our township that is still open.

June if you saw the 2 people running the show here you would most definitely roll your eyes. The office manager only cares about planting and watering flowers and putting out a park newsletter monthly with the same ol same ol a few not funny jokes and sometimes a crossword puzzle. I stopped picking them up lol. I could go on and on but won't as it's upsetting. I pay the rent for the land and go about our business. We no longer attend any of the HOA functions or meetings. We have our own circle of like minded friends that we do things with or should I say DID things with before the covid-19 hit.
I'm listening to soft classical piano music while Carl and LuLa are napping.
Later.

June Nice of you to help a neighbor search for a dog.I hope they found him.
Ann I did find some ground beef for our 3 bean chili for tonight.HEB is always fairly crowded but the way they have the checkout lanes scheduled now it doesn't take long to check out.
Susi Our governor closed all the state parks and historical sites also. The Austin mayor is only closing the city parks for the long weekend.People are just too close together every time they show it on the news.A full freezer is always good even if you have to organize it.
Ann Carl even makes bread. He is definitely a keeper. LOL.
Audrey You must have been tired to sleep through the storm.I hope Bob's pain goes away soon.It got up to 91 here today.I pushed the cart in the grocery store but definitely did not go up and down each aisle and after the PT got here the first thing he wanted to do was walk.It was a longer walk than I am used to since surgery anyway and it was 90 and humid. That was enough for me.

Mj That's a scary situation.
Becky Oh my. . . The 90 degree weather would makethat afternoon walk even more challenging. Glad that you could move quickly through the checkouts. Yes, the dog was located!
Audrey Agreed. Something's are just not worth the emotional drain.

Becky, you must be worn out but all that pain leads to a good recovery. Today is grandson Theo’s 6th birthday. It is hard not to celebrate in person but better than getting ill. People who defy the law just don’t get it. There is no magic number to a group size that prevents anyone from getting Covid 19. MJ, our parks and all public places are closed and I am glad. Did the people of Perth Amboy not learn from all those who became so ill at Mardi Gras in New Orleans? We can only shake our heads and take care of ourselves.

Ann, Bob plays Spotify playlists. He likes classical and piano music. One recent evening it was called “comfort songs” and it was all James Taylor.

Was gonna make a salad using left over cold chicken, avocado, sweet white onion, chopped marinated artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes. Then decided I didn't want that.
Decided to experiment with a wild rice risotto bowl --- and used chopped chicken, chopped kalamata olives, chopped marinated artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes. I topped the bowl with diced avocado and chopped sweet white onion.
It came out great. I have never made risotto before, but will do it again.
