Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Feel free to jump in and join us. All are welcome here.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Hello and Happy Wednesday. Well, I made it to 2:15 this morning, so I suppose that is an improvement, right? Haha. Again, I feel well rested. So I suppose I'll just go with the flow.
RobinMD - Oh Girl! I can't believe that dryer vent hose wasn't right. You paint quite a picture of your ordeal to correct the issue. I was totally picturing it in my head. It sounds so much line one of the messes I end up in. I'm glad you didn't hurt your back during all of those contortions.
We got out yesterday evening, just to take a ride. No plans what so ever to stop anywhere, but we went over the Tennessee River bridge and into Guntersville and as we passed by the Publix, noticed that there were only about 10 cars in customer parking so decided to take a chance and see if we could pick up a few items. We had masks in the car that we've been carrying "just in case" for weeks now. I went in while DH waited in the car since he's a little higher risk than I am because of his age and underlying health conditions. I was able to get 2 packs of ground beef, I would have bought more but they had a limit of 2 packs. I also got 2 dozen eggs, some cheese, butter, some frozen riced cauliflower, and a few other random items. Of course, since I wasn't expecting to stop I didn't have my list on me. So I could have gotten a few other items, but none of them are "needs", they would have just been "wants" and we can do without if the situation warrants.
Oh, I also got a 2 pack of nice ribeye steaks. I'm excited about the steaks. It's been over 3 weeks since we had steaks, and I dearly love them. That might end up being our Easter Dinner (if I can wait that long...Lol). Not exactly a traditional Easter Dinner, but since when do we eat traditionally, right? haha
Anyway, getting that stuff back home, into the house, sanitized and put away is a real chore. Then getting rid of the bags, sanitizing the "dirty" side of the counter where the bags were set down, etc., it's mentally exhausting. Did I wipe this already? Don't forget that over there.... blah, blah, blah. By the time it was all done, I was exhausted. But, glad we made the unscheduled stop.

Good Morning ...well, I have been awake for about 2 hours too. I am up now and thinking about baking something...uh oh. I am headed to the Publix a block away for the SS. I have a few things on my list. My DDIL wants peanut butter eggs that I usually make for Easter, so I may make them today OR at least make sure I have all the ingredients to do so. I have an LLI class on Quirky Elections at 10:00-11:00 (today is 1960). I have a slight headache..think I'll lie down for a bit...bbl
Lora - sounds like a successful quick grocery stop; I'm sure it was nice just to get out for a drive also.
Thinking of those of you who are celebrating the beginning of Passover...

Susie - Good morning! An early day for you too. Good luck with your shopping expedition. I hope you find everything you need. Be safe. The Publix I popped into last night had quite a few empty spots and sections. Like the cleaning solutions area was completely empty. I was hoping for an aerosol can of Lysol spray, and I wasn't even going to be picky about which scent it was. Haha. But nope, there was absolutely nothing in that whole section. Canned goods, frozen foods and dairy were also pretty thin.

Good morning everyone.
I am going to be a bit busy today. I am on the Community Donation team at work and I have several that I need to go in and approve. This is actually part of my job that I enjoy.
I am also getting ready for my monthly budget review tomorrow with my manager and team leaders. I am off on Friday - woo hoo!
RobinMD I was kind of laughing at your whole dryer story - sorry. I was just imagining you stuck upside down behind the dryer with your legs in the air kicking and you yelling - help, someone please help me and the dogs standing around doing that quirky head tilt thing trying to figure out what type of game you were playing. I always seem to be the person everyone wants to put behind the dryer - never really understood why it had to be me - LOL
Lora glad you were able to get a few things at the store yesterday. I saw some okra yesterday and I almost bought it. I wasn't sure how it worked with keto so I didn't. I have been looking at the sites on FB and I might pick some up on my next trip to the store. It didn't look like an item that was going to sell out - LOL
Susie and Lora - sorry you were both up so early.
Oh my DH has given me poison ivy <insert grumpy face here> he got it working in the yard over the weekend. I have been trying to keep my distance from him but apparently it did not work. I am not happy about it. It is only 2 small spots and I am trying to be very careful about touching it because I don't want it to spread.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Happy Hump Day,
Jana, the image you have is pretty much what it looked like! For a hot minute there, I was getting a little concerned, upside down behind the dryer! HA! Boy oh boy, you do not need poison ivy right now...do you have something to put on it to help? Sometimes, taking antihistamines help with the itching.
Lora, the unplanned shopping worked out great....now I want steaks, though! I will have to go pick up a couple of scripts this week, so I might have to get a steak.
Susie, the quirky elections sound interesting. I hope your headache eases up. I have a slight one myself.
Just stopping by quickly to say hi. I'm actually working right now, but I don't have a patient for a little while. Just busy work and phone calls for now. I'm having trouble waking up this morning. We had a whopper of a thunder storm in the night, and I had 2 shaking dogs huddled up next to me. It is supposed to be sunny and warm later. Hoping I can mow the dogs' yard after work if it dries up enough. Better get going, but I'll bbl. Waving to all to follow!

Grey, dark and damp here today. It was raining earlier, but just dreary and blah right now. The rain is supposed to come back mid afternoon and continue through the night. I think tomorrow by noon it should be moved out and we get a little sunshine back.
Jana - On no! Poison ivy stinks. I'm so sorry. I hope you get some relief and are able to not scratch. That is one of those things that's so easy to do without even thinking about it.
RobinMD - The new washer we bought when we moved here is tall and deep. More than once I've ended up with my entire upper body inside the tub and my legs hanging out, trying to reach that last sock or wash cloth. Lol. That being said, my situation is much easier to escape that yours was, I'm sure. Glad you made it through. Lol
Susie - I hope your headache has passed.

Well, made it through another day working at home. Not too busy today for us, which was ok. I managed to get some laundry done while I was at it!
I'm going to go get a shower and wash my hair, then do something for dinner. It won't be a late night for me tonight. I hope everyone has had a good day, and I will be back tomorrow!
