Definitely gratitude, including having you ladies praying for me as I pray for you. Good goals June. Thanks Bee Will also move Audrey Enjoy your meeting Ann. Only 3 attended last night. Sad. I'll be going to the office this morning but leaving payroll from a distance and watch as it is safely picked up. Weather is not looking good so all activity will be inside today.

Good morning all. Slept pretty well and counting my blessings. We were supposed to have rain yesterday and it never happened. Maybe it's in our near future today. I haven't checked. If not, I shall take a few good hood walks.
Susi you are wise to drop off and wait for payroll to be picked up from a distance.
Waving and wishing all a good day...will CBL

Goooood morning
Ann Fingers crossed that PSevice puts your laundry area back inworking order and those dirty clothes get what's coming to them. Having set my intentions, I need to go forth without falling into a bout of stress eating. Two long days of school work have triggered that in me.
Audrey Sounds like you have the making of a good day. How did Theo pass his birthday? Gratitude and hope help a great deal. I think so does word choice. I find comfort in the phrase "shelter at home."
Bee As always, I appreciate your prayers. Going forth with you.

Susi Exactly as you wrote. πππ Glad that you are taking all the necessary precautions.
Know that you will find some worthwhile exercise to do indoors.

((June)) hope the stress that is causing the stress eating comes to a halt. I know...easier said than done. I had more than my fair share of the homemade bread and chili last night. Haven't stepped on the scale yet to 'see' the damages but will do that soon. Later

Today our lunch was old-ish labne (condensed yogurt) that I made into a sauce seasoned with mint and garlic. We had it over rice and garbanzo beans and called it good. Nothing exciting happening. Leak still under control and going to the shower stall. I did some tidying in the kitchen and spent an hour in there then more time cooking lunch. It does look tidier
JUNE: Stress eating is understandable these days. Glad you are able to curb yourself...some of the time. Glad they found the escaped dog.
AUDREY: Glad you are still able to go out for walks. Loved the story of 19 year old Sophie the Hunting Cat... My sister said that people don't fear what they can't see...and they don't believe that something like a virus or bacteria can do so much harm. That or they think they are invincible. I have heard about Spotify but have not looked into it.
ANN: Did you check to see if you will be able to get a walk in or not? Sorry the bread was stale but am sure the birds or other animals will find and eat it.
SUSI: Glad you don't have to go inside the office and can watch payroll pickup from a distance.
BECKY: You are making GREAT strides with the exercising/walking!
LADONNA
BEE: Hope you have a good day! I had no idea that NOLA is a bowl...can see how it would easily flood. How does releasing the water impact the crabs? Your wild rice risotto bowl sounded delicious!
PAM: Hope all is well with you and your family.
MJ: I think that if people are silly enough to go out and do life threatening things that expose them to covid-19 I would make sure that I was as far away from them as possible! Stay safe!
Okay...need to go...have two emails to write and perhaps a cat to spend some time with.

Cathy happy you tidied up and enjoyed your meal. Yes got 3 good walks in.
Well my homemade chili and Carl's bread got me....up 1.3 this morning. Still in my happy zone... I just need to watch it. My walking does balance things off.
Time for coffee.

Good morning, June - Bee - Audrey - Ann - Susi - Cathy - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family...
ππ΅ππππ΅π <miss my monkeys> ππ΅ππππ΅π.
Gray outside. The last two days gave us the opportunity to be out in the garden a lot; today will be a stormy spring day and my garden will be grateful for that, too.
I'm sure that I can find a drawer to declutter today. I also need to work up a Young Marines newsletter and send it to the commander for approval. Our last drill was on March 12, right before all the shelter-in-place orders came out. There is a lot that they can do on-line so we want to keep them aware and involved. And now that they've been doing virtual learning for almost four weeks, they should have some kind of home routine in place and can add YM to it. We plan to "hit the ground running" when we can get together again.
In addition, "I" have a test to take for YM. The Kressling coached me on creating a log-in for Young Marines University and I can start the course at an hour a day. It's a study of the Adult Volunteer Manual and is actually required to be finished by September 30 so I can pace myself.
We saw the moon rising last night and it really was a lovely pinky-coral color, fading to bright white as it got higher. We looked again before we went to bed. The last three nights were really special, looking skyward, and Toots & I really enjoyed our "late-night dates".
Our governor issued additional executive orders yesterday, one of which changes wearing a face covering in stores to be mandatory for all (not just a suggestion).
Coffee's brewing... βββ... time for breakfast...
π±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ± Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! π±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±ππ£ππ±

Cathy, the reason is that the Mississippi River is basically freshwater, whereas Lake Pontchatrain where it will be emptying into, is salty water. They claim the fresh water causes the crabs to leave. They need the salinity.

Going to try and keep busy again today. It feels good to be doing something productive. I ended up cooking some Chicken cordon bleu I had bought at Sams last night and sides. Tonight will be Salmon filets and not sure what yet. June, great plans and ditto! Audrey, HBD to Theo and the story of the 19 yo old cat chasing the duck was cool Bee, the risotto sure sounded good! love the recipes you come up with. Ann, I am sure the homebread was worth it. I bought a bag of flour on my last grocery order. I'll make a hoe cake if needed (who actually needs a hoe cake lol) I'll join you from a distance in some yard walks. Susi, that can't be Torin? Is he already big enough for a bike? good plan with the payroll. Cathy, glad things are still good with you and DH. MJ, the course sounds like a good thing to do and keep the mind occupied. Aww glad you and Toots enjoyed your date nights
