Kathy, I saw about FL's unemployment mess on the national news. They had hundreds of cars lined up getting paper applications from people in PPE. TN closed all the state parks last weekend due to crowds, so there have been misbehaviors, and there were 3 people stabbed to death at a Pilot truck stop outside Knoxville on Tuesday. I saw a drone shot of Parkway in Pigeon Forge yesterday and it was completely devoid of vehicles or people on the sidewalks, so some people are behaving and there don't seem to be many tourists. I was actually surprised not to see tumbleweeds blowing around in the winds we had. I hope our stay at home order will be extended through April 30th but at the moment, it expires at 11:59 CDT on April 14th. If they don't extend it, OsteoStrong is probably the only place I would go. That should be relatively safe because it's often just the tech and me when I'm there and they sanitize well because they have clients with co-morbidities and several in their mid to upper 80s that they want to protect. Did your "cold" front come through? The fabric on both layers of the former placemats are pretty thin, Linda, so no problems with breathing. The one I made from an old t-shirt is more comfortable, however. I have a couple more patterns I'm going to try. My sewing skills have definitely deteriorated over the past 15 or so years. I plan to avoid people as much as possible and my only plans for the next week are to pick up the CSA order on Wednesday afternoon, which is very low risk. I wasn't surprised about all the viral transmissions on cruise ships, not just due to the communal dining but also the lack of good filtering in the cabins. Like Kathy, I hope they will upgrade. I hope your large ficus tree wasn't damaged in its tumble. Are you watching World on Fire on PBS? Becky, walking fast, especially at this point in your recovery, would not be a good idea. Take it slow and easy and you'll get there. How did curbside pickup go? Did you get everything you ordered? Did you have PT today or was it an off day being Good Friday? What is your church doing for Easter? We loved going to sunrise services when we lived in Austin and our church had a perfect place for it. I guess those won't be happening this year either. How's your covid count going? Hopefully it's leveling off. Ours is still increasing by a few each day. Hopefully they will tell us on Tuesday if they are going to extend. I assume this would be a work day for you, Liz, even if you usually have it as a holiday. I know this is an all-hands-on-deck time and I hope that will be slowing down a bit within the next week. It's sure to gear up in other places, unfortunately. Chele, how's the ear doing? Has the back pretty much healed? I hope Iggy isn't driving you crazy still. We had to take the feeder down yesterday due to the wind. It was hysterical to watch the birds come by and be totally confused because it was there earlier in the day. It's up and filled this morning, so they are all happy. I had to chase a blue jay away before we took it down. That's one I don't want feeding there. Have you seen Dolly Parton's quarantine poem? It's typical Dolly and is worth the watch to give you a smile: Dolly Parton Quarantine. I need to work with plants for the plant sale today. I think I'm going to hold on to the kale and chard and donate tomatoes, cukes, and peppers. They need a count and the tomatoes need staked up so I can do both at once. In the meantime, I may work on a couple of masks. As I said earlier, my sewing skills are pretty rusty. The high winds have finally moved out, but they have taken the comfortable temperatures with them and it's only in the mid-40s on the way to the low 50s. Enjoy your Good Friday.

Karen, thanks for the start. The cold front was a dud and we were still in the 80s today. They had originally forecast highs in the mid 70s. I don't think we got any rain from it either. I would be surprised if any tourists were left in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but I guess there are some people that rent places for a few months. Those blue jays are pretty birds, but they're really aggressive. Did they stay away? Your sewing skills are better than mine! Thanks for the link to Dolly's poem. That did make me smile.
Hope everyone had a good day. I'd say more, but there isn't anything new. I guess that's probably a good thing.

Karen Thanks for the start.Curbside went pretty well. They didn't have green leaf lettuce and they said they didn't have any chicken breast tenders.Kenneth needed yogurt so he went in and found some romaine which was okay but they did have the chicken tenders.I'm thinking those didn't match the UPC on the app so they didn't fill it.They texted me just before we got there to tell me what didn't get in the order.PT is always in the afternoons and today was a busy day for him so we took a walk on the road and he asked him if I still wanted to do the stretches and I told him I had done them this morning and I think since he had several more appointments that was fine with him.He doesn't know if they can keep me on past the 3 visits next week although I still have 4 or 5 weeks coming. He doesn't want the insurance company to decide not to pay for the visits so he was going to check with the head therapist but he wasn't sure he would get her b/c of the weekend so he said he was coming Monday for sure. Our church has been doing Facebook for almost a month now. They record it on Saturday nights and air it at the regular time on Sundays. Our cases are still increasing.Out of 26 confirmed cases in Bastrop County 12 are from Elgin.Six out of 7 cases confirmed in the last 2 days are from Elgin. The PT said someone decided to throw a party and he was asymptomatic and then he tested positive so most of them are from that same party.I don't get rural counties not thinking it could happen here too.
I think HEB probably hired them but there was a police officer standing outside the store making sure everyone was wearing masks. From what I've heard there wasn't any police at Walmart so I think this being the first day of mandatory face coverings they didn't want to risk their own employees.
Kathy We only got up to 75 today which was nice.
I did get a face mask from some lady on the Next Door app who was giving them away and a lady from the church texted me that she had 2 ready for Kenneth and me.Another online friend made Kenneth one and was mailing it out today. So I think we have enough for now.

.this looks good ...five ingredients. I have a bag of almonds I can grind up.
5-Ingredient Almond Cake with Fresh Berries
PREP TIME: 20 mins COOK TIME: 40 mins TOTAL TIME: 1 hr COURSE: Dessert CUISINE: American This simple almond cake is made with just five ingredients (not counting the berries), but don't let it's simplicity fool you – it's delicious (and it also happens to be gluten-free)! Ingredients
3 large eggs (separated, at room temperature) 3 large egg whites (at room temperature) 2/3 cup sugar 1 tsp pure vanilla extract pinch fine sea salt 2 cups 200 grams almond flour or almond meal 1 cup mixed berries powdered sugar (for dusting (optional)) Save Instructions
Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan with nonstick spray, line with parchment paper, and flour (use almond meal or a gluten-free all purpose flour blend to keep the cake gluten-free). In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and all but 2 tbsp of the sugar. Whisk until the yolks become thick and pale in color, about 1 minute. Whisk in the vanilla extract and the salt and set aside. In the bowl of a standard electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment (or a bowl with a hand mixer), beat the 6 egg whites on medium speed until they become opaque, about 1 minute. Sprinkle in the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar, and continue to beat the egg whites until they hold medium peaks. With a flexible rubber spatula, stir in about 1/4 of the egg whites to the egg yolk mixture (no need to be gentle here). Scrape the remaining egg whites over the yolks, and about half of the almond flour. Gently fold them into the yolks, but only partially. While the mixture still has a few streaks of white left, add the remaining almond flour and fold in, folding until you have a homogeneous batter. Be gentle! Pour the batter into the prepared pan and shimmy until the batter is level. Bake the cake for about 35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and springy to the touch. Let the hot cake cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes, then run a butter knife along the edges of the cake pan. Invert the cake pan onto the rack, remove the sides and bottom, and peel away the parchment paper. Turn the cake right side up and allow to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar, cut into 12 slices and serve with fresh berries. Notes
