Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Had a relaxing Easter. Listened to music, colored, talked to DB again last night.
Today I’m going back to the basement. We’re expecting a windy day. it’s already windier than usual. Temps are going to drop and the rest of the week will be unseasonably cool. My iPad and iPhone are charged up, I have my flashlight ready in case we lose power. The good thing is that it stays lighter later.
Nothing much else going on. I’ll make a menu plan for the week later today. There is a chicken and broccoli recipe on the WW site that I want to try.
Later ...

Good morning CB’ers! Cool 23 (13) this morning and snow showers possible again this afternoon. We ended up with 4-5” of snow yesterday. Some said it’s pretty (nothing pretty about it to me), some just thought it was a nuisance (I hate it!), and some went out and played in it! Going to be cold all week. But the sun is shining and I don’t have to go outside at all. Should be 57 here now, wish it was!!!!
DH had to run to the dental lab for them to repair his partial plate. Top 4-6 teeth are on a partial and 2 teeth broke off Friday. Not sure if he’ll drop it and go back to get it in a day or two or if he’ll wait for it. He hates to be without it and I understand.
Going to work in the basement too Joy. I want to try to get more books boxed up, and move more stuff out of the family room.
Yesterday was tough. My SAD kicked in and made it hard to enjoy the day at all. It was so dark & gloomy and the snow just did me in. Late afternoon DS tried FaceTime with Mara and that helped so much. She had just woken up from her nap and it was almost dinnertime, so she wasn’t real talkative, but it helped so much just seeing DS & Mara’s faces and knowing they are ok for now!!!
I need to get moving before Stan gets back! Will check in later! Have a good day all and stay safe!

Joyce, hope you have a productive day in your basement. Hope you didn’t lose power. I had a call and an e-mail from our electric supplier at home about being prepared for possible power outages due to the weather (mostly wind). They will also call if we lose power and keep us updated about the restoration.
Ruth, sorry you had such a rough day yesterday. I’m sure you were glad to catch up with Mara. I hope the trip to the dental lab for Stan was quick. Did you get some books packed up?
We FT with DS#1 and family yesterday evening. He said that the school in Massachusetts are supposed to start up again the first week in May. As he mentioned that will probably be changed because there are still several hot spots in the state. Hopefully the plumber will be here tomorrow or Wednesday to finish up the guest bathroom. Once that is finished the master bath will get started. I have to go for a blood test and plan to head out in the morning. Once I get in the facility the lab is right near the entrance so I shouldn’t be near any sick people. I will wear my mask and have gloves, so hopefully that will be okay.

Good Afternoon: Checking in on my desktop. Do you all use an app on your phone? I'm so non-tech about a lot of things. I'm doing alright. Better these past few days because I doing more than just mope around and watch TV. I just hate being here alone. That grass is growing and I had to get out and gather a huge pile of willow and maple branches that had fallen. I'd get about a third of them picked up and then we'd have wind and more would come down. Finally got it done as much as I was going to and finished mowing the front yard. I was pleased that I didn't have to call anyone to help me get the mowing started ...the first time of the season. Keeping the Kitchen, LR, MBed & Bath looking fairly good but there are two other rooms that need serious attention, the lawn shed and and barn/garage. Some things never change. I've got almost half of the items out of the LR coat closet, need to get the rest out so I can purge some, find better homes for other items, and organize what's left. I want that crossed off my TO DO list tomorrow sometime. Made a pot of the WW Stuff Pepper Soup this afternoon and I'm 125 pages in on a creepy book, not my usual cozy mysteries. The Sundown Motel by Simone St. James, pretty good except it is similar to THE GIRL on the TRAIN, in that each chapter is about a different girl (the Aunt that went missing in 1982 at the age of 20, the the niece (in her early 20's) that's come to find information about the Aunt her mother never talked about...during 2017....35 years later. Aside from the mystery of what happened to Aunt Viv, both (Viv and Niece Carly were/are seeing ghosts). I hope you are all doing alright and I'll try to visit once I get that closet cleaned out along with another item or two from my TO DO list.

Cathy - I’ve been thinking about you, missed you. I use on both my iPhone and iPad. Do you have my email address? I’m sure I could walk you through getting this on your device.
I know what you mean about dealing with this alone. I text DB every day, and he’s called a coupled of times - but it’s just not the same.
I was laid off from pt job, they had to both close the sales part of the dealership and shorten hours. Once they reopen everything I’ll get called back. I miss working.
Looking forward to hearing from you more often. You are missed.
