Good Monday Morning everyone!! I think several have this "Easter Monday" OFF today - at least I hope some of you do! We all work so hard and give so much energy to our jobs and responsibilities - it's just who we are! Officially I am NOT off today - only students and teachers receive an Easter Weekend Off - Friday I did cruise messages and read over some professional research and readings but did not see a single other Administrator in our emails nor did I receive an replies - but not judging. Today will be the same. I'll dive into some much needed Professional readings I have set aside for days like this! The Prince did mention each of us chatting later today to sign up for a Shift at the school to help pass out school Packets round#2 - I see a sign up/RSVP message went out to parents. Yesterday was really a nice day over all here. Each of us commented how nice it was to NOT have to rush out the door or run around here cleaning to HOST another Holiday gathering - no 'have to do' list. I did serve Easter Dinner early, at 2:00 - we agreed to 'dress up' as if we were going out to dinner, not our Easter Best but at least change out of Yoga pants and sweats! lol Linds was not that prepared knowing we were quarantined, but she changed into a clean new t-shirt! LOL We were impressed Gary changed out of his t-shirt and sweats - The temps went up to 60 degrees yesterday so we opened windows but the day was cloudy and overcast. Neighbors behind us had their Grandparents over to watch their little ones (not the Lacrosse family) have an Easter Egg Hunt in their backyard. We got to watch and cheer them on from our back porch The Grandparents stayed in their own lawn chairs wearing masks, while the kids and Jeremy (his wife Myla is an RN at local hospital and never home for weekends or Holidays) sat on their deck. Plenty of distance between everyone and I bet it did Jeremy some good to enjoy adult conversation! The Lacrosse family switched sports yesterday - thankfully - to GOLF. They putted their golf balls right into OUR yard and up against OUR house - grrrr - even the father joined in!! Unbelievable!! lol This time I had to keep poor Colby in or she would inhale/swallow a golf ball and no way was I going through that!

Jo - so good to see you popping in once in awhile! How did you guys survive the nasty tornadoes and storms yesterday? Everyone safe? We have VERY high winds and rains here - our Presque Isle is under water and lots of damage happening on the trails - so sad! Plenty of lake front cottages are suffering too. Did you have a good Easter? It was nice here, just the 4 of us and we sat around chatting 'like old times' lol when the Girls were younger and NOT so busy with school, friends and part-time jobs. Sue - good to see you enjoyed your Easter music and felt connected to your Dad yesterday. Yep, lots of memories, and hopefully you feel loved and at Peace ♥ Did you have a good dinner? Glad Jason could feel productive and busy outdoors - our next door neighbor was out doing his yard. Guess their Easter plans were changed and Ed was outside mowing. Our grass is not ready yet to be mowed - but I will reach out to our Lawn Service to remind him we are looking to use him again this year! My back yard is very wet and muddy still and yes, a mess for Colby to go in and out - gotta wipe her paws each time she's back in! Carole - how did you do over all yesterday? I think you mentioned today is Matt's birthday - I bet he's with you in spirit! HUGS to you my friend!! ♥ Gabrielle - did you enjoy yesterday? NO WAY are you the owner of a '58 Corvette!!! OMG! I really hope DH Ed gets it moving and running for you! HOW SWEET!! What color is yours? Tomorrow is our first official Prepared Instruction day online. It's tricky doing Montessori online but I think American Montessori Society pulled together some great resources for schools and our teachers seem ready. They are just worried about our students. I'll let you know how they do... Lisa - what did you and Greg do for Easter? Did you cook anything special? How are your kids holding up? Hoping poor Kim's customers find kindness when shopping her store - I feel awful she is encountering so much rudeness. Please send SUNSHINE our way!! lol Jenny - are you at work today? Hopefully you had a good Easter yesterday too! Back OP today here - I already tracked my day so that will make it easier - oh, and I think I've earned enough points to purchase the same WW Purple wine tumbler!!! Gotta place my order

Good morning Christine ~ Thanks for starting us off this UGLY Monday morning! It is cold - rainy - high winds expected - possible power outages... Slept OK last night - which sort of surprised me, to be honest! We too had a good day overall... not sure how we did it, but we kept it a fun day for Zoë ♥ That's what mattered most! We did a video chat with Eden - was wishing I had been able to send her basket - so she could have "dug in" while chatting... but, respected Jaclyn's wishes... didn't "push".
I am not sure how - but we all managed to keep the emotions at bay all day! Zoë chose to sit at the "head' of the table where Matt always sat - so she was our "center" I believe! It was an early day - Ken & I were back home around 5 PM! Can't say as I minded that part came home feeling "full" but truly hadn't eaten much... a little party mix before dinner, one plate of ham, etc., then a small milkshake for dessert! I avoided the cupcakes... oh did have a bite of two of cotton candy... weird... but anyway, went to bed without dinner!
Today will be a tough day - except "working" will keep my mind of some of it... woke several times during the night...had a dream about Matt... I still wake up somedays wondering did it really happen?
OK Will need to catch up later... I slept "in" this morning - still not dressed, but going to clock in and get the day started... will be taking it "easy" today though... "just because"! ♥

Good morning all! I need to catch up from a few days back - I only know it's Monday because Greg went to work. We had a very nice Easter. We had taco Easter with Joe and Tiff and Geoff and Grace. Asked them if they felt comfortable coming over for lunch and only planned on them staying for only a couple of hours but they stayed about 5 but that's ok. Talked to Kim on the phone and I think she felt sad because before all the virus stuff she was going to come home this weekend. Video called with Julie to watch Kennedy open her Easter box - that will keep her busy for awhile. I guess Jeff is double busy because companies are asking their accounting firm for advise on taking out business loans. But everyone is doing ok, and for that I am thankful.
I'm not sure how I got so far behind on reading posts. I did get out my summer clothes last week and most fit so that's a plus. I have a couple pair of quarantine jeans as I call them and I will probably throw them out when it's over as a ritual, plus they are old anyway.
Well cold and windy today and isn't going to be a good walk or bike riding week outside, so I must focus on some inside activity. Today I am relocating some of the books to the shelf I cleaned off and next up will be a couple boxes of misc. games and cords that the boys left. I think I will hang up the cords somewhere and see if all the games even have disks in them for starters. They are PS3 games and I suspect a lot of them don't work but I'll need the boys help on that. But it will get rid of 2 tubs that are stacked along the wall in the family room.
Today I'm listening to Charlie Daniels on 8-track tape. I started out with a Jackson Brown one but it only plays out one speaker and you can hear the background of another song when the correct one is playing so I'm guessing that something is wrong with the tape but not ready to toss Boulevard yet.
I will try and read back posts and get caught up on what's happening with everyone. I'm done with "coffee" phase now so need to move on to what's next...hmmm. I think put away the dishes from yesterday will be first and then think about what's for dinner. I cleaned well before everyone came over yesterday, so at least the house is clean!
BBL...have a good Monday!

Sue: I didn't realize they were still doing the oils Zoom call on Easter! Glad you enjoyed it... I wonder if Tracy knew it was happening? I can't wait to hear about this panhaus... Oh how nice of your DC Carol... to help her Mom "attend" services! OH how special for your Dad's stole to be handed down! Waffles sound like a yummy choice!
Gabrielle: LOL Sorry you missed your workshop... too bad you can't make one "work" this week. I grew up going to church... here in town, or found a church no matter where we were. Easters (when I was young) was my Grandparent's church in RI or our cousin's church in Everett (near Boston)... then as we got older my Mom "did" Easter so it was our church with family from out of town attending with us. During HS years I always participated in the (other church) Easter Sunrise Service... then the breakfast to follow - then off to our own church ! WHEW Those were the days!
Hmm, that's odd - I thought they said our Massachusetts "spike" was last week?
We are cold and miserable today! But after today we are SUPPOSED to see a warming DRY trend ahead... LET'S HOPE!
Hmm, wish I could send you some of these deviled eggs! LOL I had forgotten to tell Kathy I'd bring them, so she made some as well! Most of mine came home again! Like I said earlier, the day was OK. NOT a lot of emotions - not sure why - then feel guilty that it seems we "forgot" about Matthew... just my head playing games with myself!! Anyway... no - I was not consoling anyone... it was overall a fairly happy day for us I think it is that darned little Zoë... she just made us all smile most of the day! ♥
OH yes, get a dumpster! LOL I LOVE when we have one... and even though we had one last fall - I think we may do it again this fall... or next spring... I too feel the need to just get rid of a LOT these days... but at our "dump"/transfer station - we cannot get rid of much!
LOL I am thinking the same thing - no way we would have "forgotten" you got a car for your BD!
Sue: Thanks - I ordered one of those diffuser stands too... mostly to keep the bottles handy but not in the way!
I do like the Color-street nails - but they do not last long on me! Not even "picking"... between the dishes, the cleaning, the tub, what-have-you... they just don't hold up! Nothing I have ever tried hold up on my nails! I may do them again tonight... just lazy most nights! LOL
The hardest time was when we did the family photo with the giant Easter Bunny... between the family now being the 2 of them, and no Eden's family... it was just "off". But we did it - then veered off tot he eggs she had collected! She did say - as we sat at the dinner table... Hey we are missing someone... because at the "foot" of the table we had no chair! I guess it was odd to her to not have someone at the other end of the table!
Christine: YAY for the traditional breakfast... Back on track today! Water - water - water... Dare I ask what are scalloped pineapples?? WOO HOO for the WW dessert! Oh dear... the tavern s under water?? Hoping it survives...
Thanks for the hugs ♥ and glad you got to visit your DM from the porch.
Sue: UGH I do not envy you or your girls... with Jason's habit of "saving" everything"...
ICK, that pork stuff sounds NASTY! I guess the only way it is the least intriguing is the fact it is fried! LOL I am a fried food lover... can't believe with all the hogs my Grampa butchered - that we hadn't had that concoction! My favorite was the pork rinds... still bug a bag here and there now-a-days! But yeah... ummm... Sarah and the boys eat that too???

Good morning!
Another foggy cold day with a prediction of "70 degrees"...yep, it is 42 and foggy. Yesterday they predicted 70 and the high was 60. I have no idea what is going on with the weather people but I am glad that it isn't raining. Yesterday was a good day around the house...DH and I cleaned up the deck, completely cleaned the grill, I cleaned the house, and DS20 and I moved the living room furniture (inspired by Christine). It's different (we've had the same arrangement for about 20 years) but we are willing to give it a try. Busy work day today--my Deputy Supt is back from No. Carolina so he started emailing me last night trying to catch up on things....uggh.
Jo: Hello there--saw that you started us off....everything okay? I couldn't believe the tornadoes yesterday! Wow, so frightening. I hope that you and your family had a nice Easter.
Christine: LOL, NOW they are playing golf??? And the balls hit your house? What about windows? Do you have windows on that side of the house? Sheesh! I loved reading that you all dressed up and had a nice dinner! I am sure that Gary appreciates having you girls to keep his chin up I have never heard of scalloped pineapple...only scalloped potatoes. Is there cheese involved? I love pineapple most any way so I would probably like it So glad that you could take dinner to your mom and that she is doing well. I am proud of my mom too--she still does her daily walk (far away from others) and is really keeping her spirits up. Tonight I am bringing her groceries to her so will briefly see her through her glass door. LOL, nope, some days just aren't worth tracking! Today is a new day--the great thing about WW! Hope that the weather lets up for you soon. It really is nice to get outside (I was bundled up yesterday, but it was good to be outside). Today I decided that, for my 10 minute breaks, I am going to go out front and begin weeding the planters. It will take discipline to limit myself to 10 minutes. I hope that today is a good day--I haven't had a lot of time yet to catch up on reading, but hope to one of these days. At our dept meeting today I am going to be asking people to take on responsibilities and this will be interesting. I have a few people who seem to be "challenged" to volunteer for things---it will be good to see, when we are sitting in silence waiting, what they can do. The thing is, when I ask how much time their current responsibilities are taking each day, the answer is going to be something like "an hour"....so....time to step up and help out--they all had last week off. We will see how it goes!

Sue: So glad that you got to hear Emily play the piano! How special that must have been. Your father has had such a nice influence on you in term of your faith and your commitment to helping others--it is nice to hear. I did get to hear a bit of Andrea Bocelli in Milan--he is simply amazing and it was beautiful. So, the graph of the "peak" is based on statistics collected from hospitals across the country and it assumes that shelter in place goes into effect right away (for those states who have not implemented it yet). I know that predictions like that are always a "guessing game" and there is a certain amount of error, but it is based on larger numbers (and not one or two hospitals) so it is what our governor is using for predictions. I know that it must be so hard for those in the hospitals seeing what they do each day--living it. Regardless, I know that the fear is that people will see the curve flatten (as it is in CA and other places) and then start going back out in the world...uggh. It's hard-- DS20 and I had a brief argument last night as he wanted to see "just one friend" and distance himself. I told him just a bit longer---he did back off and accept it. Hard times. Uggh...wow, I am just not sure what to think about that pig blend--Panhaus? Wow, hmmmm.....thanks for letting me know though!
Carole: Hugs to you my friend and thank you for sharing the photos! So much fun to see little Miss Zoe on Easter! Who made hers and Patti's dresses? So sweet to see them matching! Glad that you had the chance to be together--especially with today looming. We know that you will make it, but want you to come out of it feeling reasonably well. Are you going to reach out to your doctor as you had mentioned? Just wondering about that and thinking about you.... oh, dreams can be so exhausting and this world has been turned upside down since Matt's passing. I am amazed that you have been moving through things the way that you have -- hope to be able to see you at some point in the next year or so in person to sit down and have a good talk.

Lisa: So good to see you and it is TOTALLY understandable to get mixed up on days---one seems to blend into the next--more of the same. I get it! I started a list of "Good things that have come from Social Distancing" that I add to each day. Sometimes they are little things and sometimes "deeper", but it is good to look back over. So nice that everyone could get together yesterday...sorry for Kim though! Is work going better for her? We all truly need to be more appreciative of those who are out there working so that we can get what we need. Uggh to the weather...did you find something to do inside for activity? I am AMAZED that you still have an 8-Track player! I have to dig to find a cassette player! I do still have a record player though . Hey, maybe you could dance for your activity today! What do you think? Hope that you have a good day in your clean house
Hello to Shelly, Nadine, Jenny, and all who follow. Need to get showered and, I am sad to say, I have about 6 hours of Zoom meetings today. Then, I have to drive 50 miles to pick up a grocery order--our store was booked 15 days out (we only have one store that does pick up --and none of the delivery places operate out here). I am picking up things I ordered for my mom too and dropping them off at her house so it will be a late dinner. Hope that you all have a good day and see you tomorrow! Oh, PS, yes, I will post a pic of the car when it is done--it is red!!

Morning all
I am home today, back to 4 10 hour days again, I love that shift now I get my Monday's off again. We had a simple Easter Sunday and the weather was beautiful, I put my patio furniture out and the umbrella up yesterday, got the lawn mowed. I need to get back on track again and start loosing some #'s. I called my mom and dad yesterday to check on them and to wish them a happy Easter. Today I'm going to wash my car and run to the store for groceries for the week and then out to the old plant to pick up my book I need for my job then home. I loved all the pictures of Zoe hunting Easter Eggs, looked like she had a good time.
OK gotta run for now will CBL

Evening all...WOW, what a day at work!! Never did quite catch up from having Friday off!! My Monday is always busy but come to work today to find out that the receptionist has been furloughed because we are not letting vendors, customers, visitors, etc in the building and with MUCH fewer than normal phone calls due to other places being shut down or skeleton crew there isn't enough for her...so now there is a new phone message that says to "press 6" for Operations/Production and now all those calls come to me! My phone rang off the hook today!! Guess that means I'm going nowhere during this quarantine, which is good but man, I'm NOT the receptionist type! Worst part, some of the calls I get should have been rerouted to someone else but people calling in have no clue what they want....UGH!!
Thanks for starting us off today Christine....
Hey Jo...glad you popped in to mark your spot! Yes, had an "odd" Easter but it was OK! Some fun surprises and nice "virtual family time"!
Christine...hopefully you didn't do too much today....since the others don't seem to feel the need to actually work it was hopefully a day to catch up on some things you had let go.... Glad you all had a nice day yesterday...I will say I agree! It was nice to not have to be scrambling around, getting ready to be here or there or to have a house full of company. Jason and I did NOT get dressed up for our "Zuppa Toscana" but that's OK...it's funny, for many years we went to church at dad's church then to their house for Easter dinner, they made the ham and everyone brought something to add to the dinner, of course we were in charge of the sweet potatoes! But we would all change in to comfy clothes as soon as we got back from church! Easter dinner was always relaxed comfy clothes and not the "dressed up Easter clothes"! We took pictures as soon as we got there and then it was a mad dash for the bedrooms and bathrooms to change LOL! Makes me smile as I think about fighting for "who's next" to change!
Sounds like the neighbors had a nice visit with grandparents while keeping distance. Yes, I'm sure Jeremy did enjoy the company especially if his wife has been working a lot with this virus! REALLY??? Why does the lacrosse family think it's OK to hit any ball into the neighbors yard! I'd be ready to call someone to make it stop! That's CRAP!! Do you have a home association or something? I say keep every damn ball that ends up in your yard! Besides, if they are hitting your property that is is just not right and should be stopped!
You know Christine...yesterday listening to Em play was like a "family Easter" of 40+ years ago...all the cousins were online and requesting their favorite, picking at each other and acting like we were all kids again....while not the Easter I ever expected, it was actually fun and included lots of family if only virtually!
Carole....UGLY morning, that's an understatement!! It was not too cold but rainy, windy, miserable! At one point today we lost power at work for a bit...not too long, just long enough for everything to have to be rebooted and anything you were working on was lost....yes, I am speaking as a victim of the power!! LOL! Thankfully it wasn't much! Good thing was by the time I left work the rain was over, winds were still crazy and it was 70+ degrees! seems the winds are dying down a bit the longer I'm home but overnight the winds will be blowing in a cold front and we have a stretch of low to mid 50's coming!

Carole...glad yesterday was a good day....I think focusing on Zoe and making it as "normal" as possible for her helped all of your to get through. I love that she wanted to sit at the "head" of the table....so sweet! Sounds like food-wise you did well too! Hope you got through today...work definitely was a bit of a distraction but sometime emotions take over...hugs to you!
Lisa...nice to see you!! LOL, today when the 1st group of account managers came back after their 2 week furlough they all said that they didn't know what day it was while off! They are glad to be back to "normal" so they know what day it is! Glad you had some family around for Easter...I"m sure it was tough for Kim since she had planned on coming home before this. Guess it's a good thing that Jeff is busy, right??? LOL, what exactly are quarantine jeans??? Glad the summer clothes all fit! You might be surprised that someone would buy that PS3 from you if all the parts are there and it works!! LOL, 8-track tapes....WOW, what a blast from the past!
Yes Carole...Sarah decided to have the Zoom chat on Sunday...it was fun....Sarah was sitting on the floor in her laundry room folding laundry, Bree was actually walking, and it was just Fran & I that were the "old folks" that were just visiting enjoying our morning coffee!! We chatted about oils a bit but then it was the garden, the bugs that bother gardens, fruit trees, car inspections, so many random topics but it was fun to chat!! Tracy should have known, it was posted as usual on Sarah's page!
Yes, it is special that Jeff now wears Dad's stole on the festival days of the church year....Jeff is also a 2nd career pastor so his journey is very similar to dad's. I'm so glad that Pat agreed when I mentioned it....dad and Jeff had a truly special relationship and talked often.
Carole...I heard that Massachusetts is in the throws of the "spike" and that numbers for the size of the state are really high!! I guess with Boston, Springfield, Framingham, Worcester and few other "cities" the numbers could be substantial!
OMG Carole...I so wish you could send some of the deviled eggs my way!! I LOVE them!! No one in my family likes them so when I have them at a pot luck, I probably eat WAY more than I should!
Carole...you did NOT forget about Matt, you carried on without him and gave his daughter a Happy Easter. Matt would not want all of you to sit around and be sad yesterday...he would have wanted to you to do just what you did...gave Zoe a fun day! Kind of sweet that Zoe recognized that someone was "missing" but glad it did not make her too sad.
My 2nd diffuser stand is arriving on Wednesday Carole...can't wait to get the ones on my nightstand organized....it is so nice to have all the bottles on the lazy Susan part and not all over the ledge by the computer....as everyone knows, I am often OCD organized and the oils in various spots in my house have been driving me nuts. I'm thinking about having some sort of spot in my "new kitchen" to be able to organize the ones near my coffee maker....they sometimes annoy me but I don't have a wall space close to put a shelf or anything so when the time comes...I will have a plan!
OK...need to call DS Carol...didn't get to chat yesterday so figured maybe tonight!
Sweet dreams all...this girl will be making it an early night and will finish catching up tomorrow!

Evening all.... I really thought I would’ve had a chance to get here yesterday but the grands stayed the night and woke me up early. I have been working 80+ hours a week for at least 4 weeks now and yesterday was my first day off. I tried to get them to go back to sleep. I dozed off and on for a bit and then got up. We all had cereal for breakfast then their mom picked them up around 11. I took a nap and just relaxed and did nothing before I had to get up and take a shower to eat supper over at their house. DH played monopoly with Keeley and I finally said I was going home so I could go to bed. So even though I should’ve had time to catch up it just didn’t happen again.
Weather here stinks. Down around 28° this morning and supposed to be that way again tonight and tomorrow night. They said we had snow flurries but I never had a chance to see them. Supposed to snow tonight too I guess. Will be below freezing again tomorrow night too.
I will be glad when we can finally go back to normal. I hope sooner rather than later. Work for DH is not good right now!!!! DH says his job will not get better until this ban is lifted and life goes back to somewhat normal. Until ppl are traveling or going back to work it’s just going to be iffy on the workload. On a good note a little birdie told me we are getting a bonus on this next paycheck. I was told it was 10% of our last 4 weeks paychecks so that makes me happy!!!! Today was another above average day. I just can’t believe how much ppl are STILL shopping.
Hope all had a good Easter. Everyone that had the day off I hope you was able to relax and enjoy. Those who had to work I hope it went well for you.
Will check in when I can.
