This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph.

Today is TUESDAY to help those of us keep track of the days!!! LOL Well - yesterday's plan to stay OP fell apart as the day wore on and the leftovers called my name. I was SO tired, physically, and just the thought of preparing, planning, cooking another meal for 4 just overwhelmed me as silly as that sounds. Everyone was FINE with leftovers - but for some reason it really bothered me I could not muster up the motivation or energy to do more. Maybe the weather had a lot to do with it - rain, ridiculous strong winds (30 - 40 mph!!!) and COLD temps just as predicted. "Ugly" indeed, Carole. I tried and tried to focus yesterday on work. Man, it was a challenge. Especially as it was so quiet on the info from the County or State levels - I believe everyone was OFF yesterday. Queen Bee attempted to set up another virtual meeting to 'chat' about the student whose mother panicked last Thursday about being retained. Ummm, old news under the bridge now. The other Dean of Students begged off and said let's chat another time. Thank God! I just didn't want to participate either! I sent an email stating it seemed taken care of and the parent did not reply with further questions - Didn't hear anything from DL either about signing up for a shift to pass out packets today. She has 5 Office Staff hanging on by a thread - still confused me why Administration Team would have to do this when the office staff usually handled it - unless they were furloughed? I might reach out to one privately to get the scoop. Anyways, at 4:00 yesterday the Prince emailed me to send him a "list of projects" I've been working on and he'll provide a list of projects he wants me to do. Oh? He SAW ME on each and every virtual meeting for 4-5 hours each day last week. Taking a breath here, and thinking of our Gabrielle with her staff - maybe it's the week to re-organize who is doing what. Which makes me feel less defensive.

I think the SUN is trying to come out Despite temps in the 20s and 30s it makes me smile! Shelly - good to see you pop in yesterday! We have missed you but totally understand how insanely busy your life is right now. I think it's good that customers are keeping the store busy, just sorry to hear it's causing YOU to double your weekly hours. I'm exhausted for YOU!! I'm sure your family understands. I'm glad you felt comfortable going to see the Grands and having dinner at their home. We are under strict orders to Stay Home, Stop Moving! orders from our local County Executive. She's been right so far as our county numbers are very LOW compared to others. We have the 3rd largest city in the state next to Pittsburgh and Philly (we often don't count Philadelphia - we call them their own Country! It's so different there compared to this side of the state) lol Sue - oh boy. Sorry to hear you have become your department's new Receptionist. I bet it's very distracting fielding the phone calls. I know our school tried that once and it frustrated parents to no end as all they wanted was a human voice, not "press 6" recording. But it makes sense during this time. Oh, DH got a text from the owner of their Dealership that today they might be allowed to begin selling cars virtually and practice Social Distancing during the transaction and test drive. DH is not sure how legal that is but we'll see what happens. I'm hopeful as Gary has NOT done a single thing since March 21 but roam from one room to the next. He will go for walks but only if I push him to come with me.

Carole - today is definitely a back to work day. I'll pull out my work monitor and set up again in the DR. Yesterday I moved into the kitchen with our high table and liked it, a lot! Except the family's foot traffic was right through there. But at least they could watch TV in the LR without me right in the DR trying to hear a webinar. Back to virtual meetings today too. If the sun comes out today I'll be sure to send it your way! But brrr, it's cold out there.
Lisa - I've been enjoying "Yacht Rock" radio on my Sirius XM account - I stream it to my computer since I'm not in my car to drive around and listen. It's 70's, 80's soft rock and brings back some memories!! LOL Enjoy your 8-Tracks!! Did the boys agree to stop over and look at those game consoles? Sue is right, I bet someone would buy them if they turn on! We have a local Buy Back store here and I remember taking the Girls' hand held video game/and MP3 up there - they bought back all the little games and players - enough for our souvenir cash for Disney that year!
Gabrielle - can't wait to see a picture of you in your RED car!! LOL Go, Gigi!! Good luck today with meeting virtually with your staff. I'm going to work hard, really hard, on letting go this budding resentment that the Prince is putting Queen Bee in charge of my department and that I am 'reporting' to her it seems. Which is all flip flopped as back in the day SHE was a member of my Team lol Oh well. As the World Turns, right? I'm keeping my eye on the Retirement prize and will practice keeping my mouth shut. Unless directly asked for my input.
KEEP CALM and KEEP SMILING today!!

Morning Christine and all to come...got up a few minutes early so will try to finish yesterday posts now!
Gabrielle...I'm convince the weather forecasts these days are "just guesses"...ours have been so off lately!! Will day it is chillier today...was 70° when I got out of work yesterday and today it will be around 50 but at least MUCH lower wind speeds and sunshine....rains come back later in the week. We got 1 3/4" yesterday...that's a lot for a daily total and you can see the puddles everywhere! Glad you got the deck ready for the season and a "new look" in your living room! Sorry Deputy Supt is back and already covering you with emails and tasks...guess the quieter week you had last week is over for now!
Oh...I love pineapple too Gabrielle but if Christine's scalloped pineapple is the same as what my family makes it's bread with eggs, milk, crushed pineapple and it gets baked...it's a mushy glob to me....I can't do mushy!!
Good idea to take 10 "weeding breaks"....I say set a timer for 10 minutes and leave it by the flower bed and when it goes off, head back in....I have one that keeps the last time set so you just start/stop it and it's ready for next time....Hopefully the people in your department will be receptive to the suggest of "involuntarily volunteering"...I know in our Safety meetings, many won't volunteer to present the next month's topic presentation but if they are directly asked to do it they say yes immediately!! It's funny.....
Yes...my fear is that once people get a little leeway from the "stay at home" they will "stretch" the freedom and we will be back to square #1...that is what they are saying on the TODAY show right now....PA is starting to flatten the curve here but still have well over 1000 new cases daily which is still WAY to many to loosen the reigns of quarantine! Believe me, I can't wait to be back to normal but am not in a rush to get some freedom only to lose it again!
Jenny...glad you are back to your 4/10 hour days...I would love that!! Glad you had a nice weather day for Easter....seems there was a lot of Easter yard work and getting ready for spring with decks and patios....
Shelly...glad you finally got a day off....sounds like you had a nice Easter, even if not very restful. Didn't realize you would have the grands with you!! Sorry for the REALLY chilly weather at your house!! That's COLD!! Hopefully it won't be too much longer before some things get back to normal and your DH can get back to more consistent work. YAY for the bonus...10% of paycheck will be great!! You are salaried right...would have been nice to be hourly on an 80 hour pattern for 4 weeks...maybe you will get a little extra for all the extra hours you have been putting in lately!! Our stores a bit less hectic only because they are now limiting the number of customers to go into the store at a time and have blocked off "non-life sustaining" aisles.
Waves to everyone else...will catch up after work!!

Good morning! Trying to move forward with the day but some days it's really getting harder. I did get the books relocated yesterday, tossed some binders with a few notes in it, and salvaged a couple of spiral notebook pads that I can use for journaling when I'm in the mood. The tote has plastic broken off one side so it will be going to the trash. Today I need to tackle the cords, random games, random cds without a case, etc. tote.
Greg came home yesterday saying it was a very slow day and feeling more than ever that he might be furloughed, especially when the parts driver comes back next week.
Carole-saw the family picture with the Easter bunny on Facebook. I'm sure it was an emotional moment.
Christine-glad Queen Bee didn't get her way with meeting. All the people that I've talked to working from home for the University are just about losing it and still adjusting to working from home and so many things up in the air.
Gabrielle-I loved the look of your home office on FB picture, complete with office-mate! I would like the option of standing because I could see myself being distracted and restless working from home.
Sue-I pray that the curve will start to flatten although I heard on the news that the Illinois Governor is calling out some troops to help out in the state, I'm sure they will go to the Chicago area. While I don't like these restrictions, I would rather do them longer than try to go back to some kind of normal, only to start all over again. I hope there aren't too many phone calls at work, it's hard to concentrate on something with a lot of interruptions.
Jenny-glad you can go back to a schedule that you like and finding some ways to get breaks in and still accomplish things that you need to.
Shelly-Again I feel for you because I hear from my daughter daily. Yesterday Menards just suddenly implemented a no return policy for now, and of course one of the first customers she has was a guy who wanted to return a bunch of lumber and got upset with her. Menards like other stores will accept returns after things are closer to back to normal.
Hello to Jo, Nadine, and ATF. Checking in here gives me some feeling of a routine and normalcy. Time to finish my coffee and get shoes on to retrieve the newspaper from the mailbox.
Will check in later. Have a great Tuesday!

Good Morning! Slept well last night. I have been sleeping much better since I gave up alcohol! I am on day 14. It makes it much easier being home. I'm a home body so I don't really mind being at home, safe and sound. We have a nice Easter. Steven and DBIL came over. sent lots of left overs home with Steven. I only had 2 meals but what i did have at dinner was not sugar or flour free. I'm upgraded to no white flour. I'm sticking with Whole Wheat. For bread I use sprouted grain bread.
On Saturday Steven came over and we colored eggs. I've been tasked with scanning all of my Mum's pictures and putting them on some kind of Thump drive for pictures. We started that on Saturday. The kids did most of it. There are some really old pictures. One of my great, great, great, great grandfather (give or take a great) on my Mum's side. There is a wedding picture from 1890! wow I didn't know she had this stuff. We have a coat of arms too. Get this, my Dad came to Knoxville before he and my Mum were married. He visited the Great Smokey Mountains. She has the souvenir post cards thing that he send, it's like a little book actually. It cost him 3 cents to send. What are the chances that he would have visited here that long ago. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. We laughed at my "big" 80s hair!! LOL really big hair.
Christine, thanks for starting us off. I get the just not being up to making another dinner. that's usually when we order pizza! I eat the wings though.

Good morning!
As Lisa said, so glad to have the "normalcy" of checking in here each day--the one thing that we CAN count on in all of the unsettling craziness right now. By the way, if I hear the word "unprecedented" one more time, I am going to throw something. I have made it my motto not to use it. I heard a podcast yesterday (that actually was about how one educational organization was handling distance learning) that started with one of the editors describing working from home (both her and her husband) and having 3 children--all school aged. She was talking about going through the "phases of grief"...sad that her kids couldn't be with their friends and finish the school year. Sad that they were having to experience this. Sad that she and her husband were feeling strains on their usually "easy" relationship. It made me realize everyone....it is OKAY to feel all of it! You know why? Because we don't STAY there....we WILL move on. So please, allow yourself to experience it. Chances are that you have to go through it to be able to move on to other things. Hugs to all of you---and time to schedule another Zoom call! Should we do it on a weekday evening or a Sunday evening? Let me know your thoughts.
Christine: Hey, we all have those workdays like that where we "just aren't feeling it", right? I am sorry that someone who you used to lead is now seeming to take it over....that would be hard (and I felt like that just a couple of years ago). If there is anyway to see it as some "freedom" to maybe do things that you like in your work and she can do the "less fun" things? After all, she wanted the responsibility, right? Who knows what is on the Prince's mind....my meeting with my dept went "okay"....they are an interesting bunch and, not being with them in person, makes it tough. Right before break (for them it was last week), two of them told me that they were SO busy with new teachers calling to finish their projects (induction for their credentials). So, yesterday I told them, "We all have some work to get done here so I am thinking about how busy you two told me you are--how about setting up "office hours" when you focus on the teachers and then you have other time for other things?" They were silent....and said, "Why do you think we are so busy?"...well, I happened to have my notes in front of me from the last meeting and said, "Looking at my notes, I wrote it down. Did I not hear you correctly? They were kind of stumbling over themselves bit.. that is how the meeting STARTED! So, I have one person who said, "Got it...good to go!" and three who are like, "Well, I want to have a visual of what the final project looks like first..." and me saying -- start researching and organizing what you find and we will let you know the format later. LOL, we will see! My next plan is to check in with each of them individually tomorrow morning. Interestly enough, their calendars are EMPTY. I told them to put their projects on there! Reading about your work situation....can you stay at the dining room table or are you going to have to take things down each night? That would be hard! I hope that you can find something more "permanent". And you are watching DH roam from room to room? I wonder what he will do when he retires one day? Hope that he might find some things to do....and that you can focus on you. Listen my friend, do NOT beat yourself up---you get to have down days! Hang in there...and hope that you get some better weather (I hope for that for all of us).

Sue: Well, sounds like you will have a lot of interruptions with the reception calls? That will definitely take some adjusting. On the positive, with so many furloughed, I guess that you are fortunate? Sounds like the diffuser stand was truly a GREAT find. I love it when I find something like that! So, all of my recipes (written and printed versions) are sorted and in a binder now-- that actually took a while and is a HUGE thing--much easier to find my favorites. I prefer to have a written one in front of me rather than the computer screen. Yep, I did do some weeding in the morning (about 15 min)...then a couple more meetings made it onto my calendar and I wound up on calls from 12:45-5:15 solid so --no more weeding. Might have time today. It looks like the sun might stay out today--still in the 40's but yay! Hope that you are finding some "rhythm" in your work soon with the new phone duties....
Jenny: Good to see you! Nice to be back to the 4 10's and also nice to hear that the weather was so nice! I always love seeing your yard pictures--it always looks so pretty! We didn't have people together for Easter due to the distancing order--just being so careful right now and seeing the difference it is making in CA is helping. Sounds like the governors of CA, OR, and WA are all going to make some announcements today about HOW they will release the sheltering order? Glad that they are working together. Hope that you have a good day!
Shelly: So good to see you and how nice to see the grandkids! So the tornadoes didn't affect your area? So scary! How great to get the bonus too...especially with DH's work in limbo right now. Must give you some peace of mind? Hope that you get the rest you need and can take care of yourself--those are LONG weeks for you.

Lisa: How are you feeling today? Are you looking forward to possibly having DH at home? Maybe the two of you can take some drives or something to feel less isolated? Hugs to you---it is hard! Thanks for your complement about the office. I love my standing desk--it makes such a difference at the end of the day. If I have to write a lot, I can sit down. But, most often, I am able to stand up. Sounds like you are really getting some organizing done--much more advanced than my level! I am seriously thinking that I need to tackle the closet in DH's office next---it is DS20's old room and most of it is his stuff. It would make for some great storage and there are so many things in there that I need his "okay" to toss. Then I will move into the closet in the other bedroom...it REALLY needs a cleaning and I need to toss some old clothes from there too. Hope that today feels better to you and that the weather improves. Hugs to you today.
Jo: So glad that you are sleeping better---my sister gave up drinking about 3 years ago for a NY eve resolution and the first thing she noticed was sleeping better---it's kind of counter-intuitive as you would think that drinking might make you sleepy. Good for you for finding a way to get better sleep. What a fun project going through the pictures and a GREAT idea to involve the kids. Scanning them is SUCH a good idea so that the whole family can have access to them. Hope that you have a good day today--is work still keeping you busy or is it still slowing down?
Carole: Oh man, sorry that you started your day with wonky internet! Does the weather affect it? There is no rhyme or reason to our unpredictable internet here...even on perfectly clear days it can be "off" --hope that yours improves.
Hello to Nadine (hope that you and the family are healthy) and all who follow. Need to get a move on here. I have to think about the phone calls I am going to make with my staff.....each person individually. I have to remember that everyone has their "style" of working and that they are all a bit different! Have a good day, my friends and let me know what you think about the Zoom dates....

Sorry about that. I meant to come back and finish my post sooner. I forgot everything I was going to say. My sister just let us know that my Mum's house is sold. It's a done deal. I have such a mixed bag of emotions about this. I'm glad it done. But I'm sad too. We will never go back to that house. Pittsburgh will never be the same for me.
One thing I did want to say.
Carole, when you dream about someone who has passed, they are visiting you. it is their way to communicate with you. Treasure those dreams. Matt is saying Hi! I know this probably sound woo woo, crazy but it is true. When we dream our subconscious is in a state that they can communicate with us. I hope this make you feel better. No I'm not crazy..LOL
Christine, yeah that would make me defensive too. My boss is the micro managing queen! So I get it. How cool you neighbors got to let the grand parents participate in the kids Easter egg hunt. Your neighbors play golf? If that ball hits your house you should take it and talk to them. That is not a very nice neighbor. Yes it would not be good for Colby to get ahold of a golf ball.
Sue, I feel for you. Of all the jobs i've had, being a receptionist was the not my favorite. It is such an interruption to your work.
Gabrielle, delegating is the hardest thing, especially when people are very eager to volunteer. Hope you were able to find the right people for the job.
Waves to everyone to follow. Sorry is I missed anyone, I'm just not all hear today.

Good afternoon - Internet seems to have settled down... so will try catching up!
Oh Christine - how nice you enjoyed your Easter Sunday. It's funny... another FB friend posted how much they LOVED "staying home"! As much as they missed the family time - they totally enjoyed a laid back leisurely day... usually up and out the door, but this year they had a nice breakfast, followed by a "at their pwn pace" cooking the afternoon meal... WOO HOO for clean NEW T-shirt and Gary leaving the sweats behind for the day! Had to LOL I felt like I was getting dressed UP just putting on a blouse and sweater instead of t-shirt and sweatshirt!!
Oh how I long for opening windows here!! Tracy has one open up in her room - but with this darned wind, I am cold! Temp says 57 out there, and the sun is nice... but the winds... nope... not going out there!!
Oh geeze... golf would be "quieter" I guess if they kept the ball in their own yard! What is wrong with these people??!??
Sounds like I need to get tracking - so I can "earn" a wine tumbler??? I have to original wine glasses... with measuring lines... need to look into this new purple one!
Lisa: YAY for some family time Sunday... and glad you got to see Kennedy open her Easter box ♥ Good for you getting back into your organizing and emptying tubs!
Gabrielle: YAY for new seating in the living room! LOL Funny how just switching it up can be fun once in a while! I am going to have to do that soon - DD needs a new chair... and she likes MINE... so if I get her one LIKE Mine... it won't fit where hers is now... will need to figure it out... but not right now! Oh gosh... OK That guy is back from vacation - but MAN can't he give you a holiday in peace?? Oh yes, 10 minute weeding breaks? I am not sure I could come back in in just 10 minutes!! Good luck! Oh the matching dresses were from Amazon! Patti said it was a whim... she is blaming it on isolation brain!
I did send a message to my Dr. through the patient portal... hoping she will reach back in my files and see this is not a one-off, and I am not just looking for drugs... we'll see how it goes I guess! OMGoodness... 6 hours of calls, and THEN a 50 mile drive??? OY VEY GF! You amaze me!
Jenny: YAY for the 4 10 hour days!!
Sue: WOO HOO for job security! LOL I am not the receptionist type either... do not like being on the phone!! Although I would LOVE the chance to tell people WHERE.TO.GO.!
Oh Tracy knew about the Sunday chat... but she worked until 7 AM, then headed to Kathy's to get the eggs "hidden" and get ready for the day... I have had deviled eggs for breakfast yesterday and today - not quite as good for me as HB egg, but not wasting them!
Shelly: No worries about catching up here... my goodness GF YOU need sleep more than anything!! YAY to having the grandkids aorund!! WOO HOO to a surprise bonus!!

Christine - Thanks for starting us off on the TRACK Tuesday... I will pass my "track" to Gabrielle! Although she is not going to the track, I bet she is still running... I just don't have the motivation to track - or even think about my eating! We had ham last night - with eggs, and hash browns! Easy enough for Ken - since Monday is his day off, so he does the cooking...
This morning - Tracy asked what's the plan for dinner? I said I had nothing planned... have to see what's in the freezer... WELL She just came down again now - and ASKED AGAIN! I said... still have no plan... so she is looking for IP recipes - for frozen chicken! I'm fine with soup - guess she is not!??!?? Oh well!
Yay for backing out of the call yesterday - no need to meet for old news!
Oh our sun has been out bright today - and warmed up - but like I said with the winds... the wind chill must be like 40 degrees! Brrr.
UGH I know we broke protocol Sunday - with going to be together for Easter... although actually we didn't! The Gov has still said less than 10 people per gathering... so we were fine! I WISH people wouold start to listen! I still have that ONE annoying co-worker... she is PAID TO STAY HOME, yet last week she was at a different store each and every day! I'd rather spend 5 hours with my family then 1 hour per day at a store... with strangers... UGH... kinda glad I am NOT sharing office space with her these days!
Oh I could be your Gary... I barely got 1k steps yesterday... moving from DR to kitchen to bathroom and back again is NOT what "steps" are made of!
Oh I DID get a larger monitor! WHEW! It is not a LOT bigger... but bigger enough to notice a difference! I am happier now! Yeah "family foot traffic" is a nuisance... for sure... with a DD that "chats" every time through! Good luck with your Keep Calm and Keep Smiling ♥ {{{hugs}}} and yes retirement is the prize!!
Lisa: I hear ya'... so hard to get motivated these days! Yes... asking Patti and Zoë to have the annual photo taken without Matt was truly heartbreaking... Oh I so hope stores will not allow returns very soon. Then they should still LIMIT returns... if they were hoarding anything that people needed during this time - I hope they are not allowed to return it EVER! BJs has implemented a no return policy due to germs coming into the club... but overall folks will NOT be allowed to return TP, sanitizers, disinfecting wipes, etc., for a good long time to come!!
Jo: Sounds like your "diet" is coming along well... I used to like the brad I could have on BLE... I should get back to that again - someday :-(
Gabrielle: I am fine with either weeknight or Sunday call... I mean... ummm... I'm home All.The.Time.! LOL Yeah, it could have been the weather - the high winds, the rain?? I know the rain/winds took out our satellite last night for a bit... Had to LOL DH was on a Virtual Meeting with the town BROADBAND committee at the time! It only messed with my TV for a short while - today I think it was Tracy going on line with her IPad. The Verizon guy told us long ago that Apple products use more internet than other devices... and it does appear to be true! Seems every time she fires up her IPad, it messes with what I am doing! Then we get it back and we are OK, but it's the initial firing up that gets me knocked off!
Jo: Thank you - I know you are not crazy... and yeah... I felt "different" when I woke up after "seeing Matt"...

OK Enough of a break... will pop back into work and see if I missed anything! LOL Have to say - with this stay at home thing - the workload has gotten pretty simplified... I do not have crazy busy days anymore... and yeah, I am fine with that! ♥hugs♥
