Naturelover- I've always been intrigued by those DNA tests. Are you from an Irish decent? Was this a surprise to you? What about the other results? Surprises?
I'm on the fence on getting one done. We realized about 20 years ago that my mother's father is not her biological father. So we know nothing about her paternal side. But I'm not sure that a DNA test is going to give the answers I really want. She's OK not knowing, I would like to know more. Especially since there are some questions on my Dad's side about his paternal grandfather. It's quite possible that both sides of my family are only 1/2 related to me and both are missing links on their paternal side.

@naturelover and hpeterson1951 , I was adopted, so I have no idea what I am! Maybe when the price comes down, but I've lived this long it's not a priority !

I'm IN for a day of healthy eating.
And I SWEAR that I posted this morning, because I remember seeing Dina's Irish blessing.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all! OUR new bishop gave a dispensation for today but actually included the provision that we must choose another meatless day this week <?!?>. Since my WW meeting is tomorrow morning, I think that I will have my corned beef TOMORROW; we'll just run a Friday-in-Lent menu today. That eliminates any other juggling <smile>.

Good evening all.
I’m finally getting around to catching up here.
Hope everyone had a nice St. Patrick’s day.
My corned beef is out of the pressure cooker and cooling a bit to make it easier to slice. I put carrots, potatoes and cabbage back into the cooker in the liquid from the corned beef. Hope the veggies come out done correctly.
Tomorrow is our monthly book sale at the library, so I was there all morning helping to get things set up and organized. A simple lunch is catered for us, so that was time well spent with friends.
After getting home I attacked laundry and am closing in on being done with that.
All in all it was a productive day. I even worked in some time on the patio by the pool.
Now I’m pooped and ready to call an end to productivity. I’ll be zoning out with TV or movies and probably early to bed in hopes of getting decent sleep and being fresh to work the book sale tomorrow.

No corned beef for me today because we ate ours last week because I just couldn't wait. Good thing I made it before I re-joined WW because corned beef leftovers always turn into Reuben sandwiches the next day and that would have put we way over my daily points lol. Stepped on the scale this morning and I am already down 1 1/2 pounds in three days.
I love Reuben sandwich. I ate one last week when going out to lunch with the girls!

patty I LOVE ruebens too! I made sure to get a small corned beef this year so I didn't have any unsightly encounters with one
