Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Sunny but cold morning. We are supposed to get significant snow starting this evening and going through the night. Really?!? The good thing is that temps look like they will be back to seasonal starting Sunday. I am exercising inside, but looking forward to my walks outside again. I havenāt even been wearing my Fitbit because my step counts are just too low.
Dottie - sounds like the bathroom project is going along well. As far as evening snacking, Iām right there with you. I keep busy enough during the day, but after dinner I generally sit down to watch tv and eventually grab something to snack on. I try to keep it healthy, but thatās not always the case.
Ruth - sorry that you had āone of those daysā. Once the weather gets nicer Iām sure youāll feel a lot better. It does sound like Mara going to nursery school might happen sooner than later. Hope it works out well for all.
Cathy - sounds like youāre doing well decluttering. Every little bit helps.
Iāll probably head back to the basement today. Looks like I have another 4 weeks at home, Iāll make the most of it. I CB in 15 minute intervals. I found that if Iām there longer than that I get frustrated and tired.
Iām going to order dinner from my favorite restaurant today. Iāll get chicken souvlaki, Iāve been looking forward to that all week.
Time for coffee. See ya later

Good afternoon all. I had 3/4 of a post done and then DD messaged to FT with Sawyer and I switched over, thinking I could come back, and poof it was gone!!! šš
Going to run some things over to DSās house in a bit. Whenever I shop online (or in store), I order a few things for them too. Iām not sure if they got paid for when they were off, and I so want them to make the mortgage payment that if I can add to their grocery stock, I will. Will pick up some milk, bread, bananas, and a few other things to add to what I already have here.
I still need to get that one cabinet door finished so DH can put the handles on and be done! And then I remembered we still have upstairs and downstairs bathrooms to do. There are linen closets in both of those bathrooms that have 4 handles; and one bathroom has a bigger vanity that has doors and drawers. So weāll need to take a count and then pick up more of the handles. And find some knobs that match for all the closet doors.
And then I want to get downstairs. I think I need to actually start in the storage room where I keep the bins of kidsā clothing and get it organized so that I can put bins away and just sort from them one at a time off the shelves. Then all the stuff I want to sell can be in one room.
Ok, no personals for now. My mood is much better today (some of it Iāve just chosen to ignore, other stuff weāll have to sit down and talk about at some point), so going to get outside and enjoy the sunshine too!!!
more later - Wild game on tv tonight (something to watch besides news!).

Joyce, a lot of progress was made on the bathrooms today. The master bathroom shower should be finished by next Friday. My mindless snacking is because I have too much āfreeā time. I hope to break that once we head home. The chicken souvlaki sounds good, hope you enjoy it.
Ruth, sorry to hear you lost your post. I always type my post in āwordā and then cut and paste it to the thread. Iām sure Mara will love nursery school, most kids really enjoy being around other kids their own age. Is she potty trained yet? Most of the nursery schools in our area require the kids to be potty trained. Sorry to hear you didnāt feel good yesterday but it sounds like today was a better day. Nice that you can get your DS some of the items they will be needing and they can save their money for their mortgage. Sounds like Stan is moving right along with putting the new handles on the drawers/cabinets.
Cathy, so happy to see you again. You have been very busy with getting rid of stuff. It sounds like once the exercise equipment is out of your way you will have more room to move about in the garage. Hope you find the manual you are looking for. Your DSS oldest DD sounds like a very busy person. I remember CURRENT, I always found such cute cards and things from them.
We took our walk early and the tile guy was here by 8:10. The plumber didnāt come till almost 1, but he had a helper with him and they finished the job in less than 3 hours. The shower in the guest bathroom is usable now. We will have glass doors installed but will wait till fall or next winter to do that. Iām afraid that if we order them now (the shower has to be completely finished before they can measure) we will end up waiting weeks for installation. Iām ready to head home and start on some projects there. Iām sure our yard will need lots of work. There have been several wind storms so I know there will be lots of branches down. They arenāt big branches but need to be picked up before Bill can cut the grass.
