Yes Carole...we definitely got our $$$ out of the Corolla...just a bummer about the 4 new tires on it but someone may just want it for the tires and that's fine with me!! Any amount we can get will be better than just sending it to the junk yard. Glad the cost of the solar panels will be re-couped if you go for it....they are just now getting popular around here, while it's a good selling point for houses it's not "in demand" yet here!! I'm sure since it's colder in MA and that savings will be greater, especially in the winter it would be an asset. I know in NC it's not the heat $$$ it saves but the AC $$$ come summer, that's why it's so big where David lives. David's heating bills have not dropped much but the electric bills in the summer have dropped considerably for them...still a long way to go to "pay them off" and actually start saving $$ but they did get a decent tax credit last year which helped!
Carole...why would DBIL say you need to hold off on filing anything if you didn't get any income from the estate in 2019....any $$ you may get will be on 2020 taxes??? Doesn't even make sense?? That's funny....my DC Jane works for an accountant in Worcester and she's still working....she is working from home now but several are still "social distancing" at the office??
Yes, one of those things for the elastic from the masks would be great!!! If Tracy has a spare I'd love one!! Might actually help the ones I have fit a little better too?? Will definitely be an adjustment tomorrow when we all start to wear them.
LOL...aren't you sneaky Carole...planning to paint just to get the last of Tracy's stuff out of that room!! Good idea!! Sometimes you just have to do something major to get those "little things" done!! Yes, do be careful painting today...don't need to do anything to your back!!! You definitely don't need to add a "bad back" to this quarantine mess!!
I'm sure staying on track with food while at home is a challenge and having it portioned out like a regular 'work week' would help but then you have all the dishes....not sure I'd like that staring me in the face either!! Hopefully Ken and Tracy will give you some peace and let you get your work done that MUST be done and then, a leisurely day to finish sounds perfect....work doesn't need to know that you are taking your time getting things done, right?? Glad when you laid awake last night you were thinking positive things to look forward too...YES, a June vacation sounds perfect and fingers crossed things might be starting at least to get back to normal!!
Ahhh....now I see why the slider needs to come out....definitely need to get it taken out so no one can report you for building codes, not that you live in a busy neighborhood where anyone would even notice but better to be safe than sorry. I had thought about a slider window as well in the front when we take the bay out but then you still can only open "part" of the window...with casements, the entire bank of windows will be open either on the bottom for plenty of air flow or the top, just for some "fresh air" this time of year.....our screens are only on the bottom so once the bugs (flies, mosquitoes, etc) start to fly the top stays closed tightly!! Get enough in here anyway, don't need to leave an open window to "invite" them in! LOL!
Yes Carole...you have a lot of things on your plate right now that you are allowed to be sad, angry, frustrated etc but as you said not consuming your life as it is doing now....finding a way to work through those feeling without letting it "take over" and consume you!! It's hard....it will take work and if he is a good psychologist you will find he can help you put things in perspective and see what you can control, what you can't control and how to deal with all of it.
For me, my struggling was letting go of things I could NOT control...I was always the "mother figure" as a kid since my parents drank and I was the oldest...I was always the one who had to make sure everyone's "ducks were in a row" and I was the fixer....finding things as an adult that I couldn't fix and letting others fix it for themselves was hard to let go of even though I was watching them destroy their life, health, finances, etc....believe me, I still struggle, like with DM and her opiod addiction....she knows better, she's a nurse but SHE chooses to continue and it is very hard to watch her let her life crumble when better choices she could be living a much fuller, happier life in her senior years. I have to remind myself "I can't 'adult' for another adult" no matter what!!
WOW, Zoe is growing like a weed....is she going to be taller than Eden??? Yes, I love to fold kid's laundry....something reminiscent of when the girls were little and takes me back. My laundry is just that.....laundry and a necessary chore!
OK...time for my waffle...wasn't really hungry when I got up but belly starting to rumble now!! I'll have one and Jason the other, then those left overs are gone....this is a "clean out the fridge" week for us!! Will make some HB eggs later for some egg salad and for on top of my salads but other than that....no cooking for me today!
Back later....have a great day all!
