Good Morning ~ woke to rain and WIND - wow, is it ever strong out there! Right now 24 mph winds and naturally, blowing in the COLD air not warm Chance of Wintery Mix and dreaded snow again today. Gimme a break, right?!? I did rearrange today's appointments to meet with the Landscape company but now with snow covering the area I need him to look at we may need to re-schedule after all. I did notice yesterday that FINALLY we have some grass growing in the back yard. Every one else around here have been mowing their yards and we are just now getting grass? Hmm...Oh, and found a darn chipmunk hole that ColbyGirl dug out. Lovely...grr... I told DH Gary yesterday we need to get several bags of Top Soil to fill the darn holes and replant grass! Plus, remember our road side mailbox got knocked by the snowplows a few months ago and that post needs straightened (hoping it's not cracked deep down in the ground). I thought we should just put soil all around the mailbox post, straighten it out, then plant flowers around it. But can't even begin a project while its' still COLD and snowing. Geesh...getting antsy here...

Sue - sorry to hear wearing the mask was frustrating. I get it. I find my voice and others are muffled and I can't hear right! Plus I lip read more than I thought...my DDs pointed that out to me - I need Closed Captions when talking! LOL I was so surprised yesterday Gary actually agreed to venture out of the house WITH a mask! HE needed items from WalMart so he did it! He said it was tough as many customers were not paying attention to the directions provided at end of each aisle - but it was not as crowded as usual either. He was pretty anxious, I could tell - Any news on your DM and that letter? Any word yet from your DB Jim?
PA Governor passed a bill that will allow our Car Dealerships to sell online and use online Notary service to finalize the deal. Gary is not sure what this means, his office staff are scrambling for clarification, but if a customer contacts them by phone or online, they can set an appointment, take turns entering the Office, and allow customers to test drive vehicles minus the salesman. We will see how this goes...but he's irritated that he's ON-CALL all day long and may have to dash out to the dealership if there's a customer?
I'm hearing the date, May 8 ?? Will need to read more to find out was that the Stay at Home extension or is that a soft Opening?
Carole - how's the painting project? Any time yesterday to finish? Since Tracy was OFF did she finish the guest room? Hoping today you get our SUN we enjoyed yesterday but brrrr the air is still very cold. I did take a Walk after 'work' yesterday just to clear my head and get out! I was getting frustrated with DH following me around and roaming around the house aimless - add to it my sadness that Lindsey left at Lunch time - the walk outside did help even if only for 20 minutes -

Thanks for starting us off Christine...we are to get rain from approx. 11:00-2:00 then followed by nasty winds 20-30 mph sustained....we are still to hit 60° but with those winds it's NOT going to feel like a nice spring day!! Tomorrow we have freeze warnings before our "warm up"!! Sure glad we are just warm enough than you to avoid the "wintery mix"!! Hope you soon get a weather break to get those few outside tasks taken care of and have the landscaper come and check things out!!
Did get to chat with DM last night...she didn't say much but she did not say that she was "fine and ready to go"...she did ask if I remembered the hamatoma she had in her lung when Sarah was a newborn....it was just a mass of misplaced cells that started to grow...well apparently if you have had that once it can happen again so she's thinking that it could be something that simple.... Who knows but she has CAT scans of her chest and abdomen tomorrow so hopefully have answers soon!!
Time to get this day started...see you all after work!! Need to make Rice Krispie treats for the "April Treat of the Monthy" tomorrow then can catch up here!!

Good Morning! Stayed up too late last night reading. It's supposed to get to 70s this week. Emilies old room is the front door and with the door open it's nice to feel the fresh air while working.
Christine, thanks for starting us. It's crazy that you are still getting snow. Hoping it warms up for you. A snow plow hit your mailbox? Did you have that much snow or was the driver not paying attention. I can understand getting ansty for the sun. Hope you can still meet with the landscape guy. He should still be able to tell what you want. We had a squirrel in our yard for the 1st time in forever. All 3 dogs bonded chasing him up a light pole.
Sue and Carole, the app is called walkfit. It asks you some questionsand makes a wasking plan for you. It is a pay app but has a free trial. I'm still deciding if I like it or not. It shows you how long to warm up, than walk moderate, than fast and cool down.
Need to take a break my hands falling asleep again.

I did TRACK my meals for today - sometimes it helps me to have a PLAN and fall back on it when feeling hungry - It helps me to have choices already made for me Lindsey was down 3#s - YAY!! It's a good motivator for her - and a strong start that she's lost 7#s total in 2 weeks - She shared this week she hopes to find a better routine and start working out by walking around her apartment complex and following her Daily Burn. She has tons of ONLINE work to do in replacement of her internship. I was reading some of the assignments - good lord! Very overwhelming and makes you pause, thinking, WHY? It feels like a lot! So she will focus on working daily through the assignments, writing lengthy papers, and finishing her Grad School application. She needs quiet and non-distracting environment. Honestly, with Gary and Carly wandering around the house all day it was very disruptive to her. She just couldn't find her groove - add to it some one sniping at each other or wanting to 'share' something they heard or saw - Linds smiled through it, but realized, ENOUGH ALREADY and needs some time to focus on her work! Gabrielle - I'm glad you were able to deliver those cupcakes and set up a Zoom to celebrate DS's Birthday! I agree, um, I think your DM missed the point of the Zoom call. And you are totally right, as much as you love your brother, it's exhausting to always BE THERE and listen to him as he sorts out such a difficult time. I recall feeling the same way when my girls were young and my DB would call just to ramble on and on about HIM self and I just didn't have the energy to always 'be on' as that support. How did the work day go? I had an okay day - lot of time listening to Teachers complain about the Google Classrooms platform and lack of participation from students. Hoping this week goes better. I am now in charge of Attendance and the Prince wants teachers to send me lists of students not accessing their online assignments nor engaged. We need to figure out when I should reach out to families to find out why kids aren't doing their school work - hoping today to formulate a plan there - Jo, Jenny, Shelly and Lisa - shout out to you!! Hope your MONDAYS went well and today you can TRACK your Tuesday and formulate a PLAN!

Good morning!
Cold this morning, but it is still supposed to warm up by the end of the week--it was cold and gloomy yesterday so hoping to see a change in that pattern today....not snowy though! Sorry for those of you facing that. I AM taking Friday off (this Friday and the next) and plan to spend a lot of it doing things outside. I need my time out in the fresh air. I did pick up a couple of masks yesterday and closely examined how they are made--I have all of the materials and I am going to make a few of my own to have around as I think it is the "new normal" for now and into the future. I have always seen people at the airport, etc. with masks on (few and far between)--seeming that it will be more common now. I was tired last night! I think that the screen time effect is cumulative and just wears on you...I am thinking a lot about our department project as well. We are looking a "recommended times" each day that parents should be tailoring a home school program. Anyway- it will be interesting to see how this goes.
Christine: Well, glad that you could reschedule the parents, but can't the landscaper still come? I mean, he can still get a sense of the yard, the slopes, the soil, etc.? This might be the best time to get his attention, right? I get Linds wanting to be in a more "focused" situation...especially with her year ending on such an unsettling note. Good for her! Heading back 7# down and setting GREAT goals for herself!! Way to go, Lindsay! Hey, I hadn't even thought about the mask and lip reading. That would be tough! I heard a guy on Dr. Radio asking the doctors how you look to be "smiling" etc. He was a teacher and was concerned that kids wouldn't see his facial expressions...so many challenges! We have to redo our grass, fill in holes, etc because we have raccoons and skunks that come in the night and dig up "grubs" in the lawn. They make a mess of it! It's like a beach with all kinds of little holes, etc. We need to buy something to kill the grubs but I don't want to hurt the dogs --might need to fence it off (they can run around it) while the lawn gets settled....I hope that you can make some headway on our outside plans today--we know that you enjoy that!

Carole: Yay for getting up, getting ready, and getting your day going. I am with Christine--I do that every day too. Not with dress pants, but with jeans and a nicer shirt and cardigan (or something like that). No yoga pants or sweats. I do wear comfy shoes though--no dress shoes, LOL. I have found that every week I really do learn something new. I need to look more at the WW challenge ---unfortunately, "Connect" is the platform and it is "funky" on the computer---I am not a fan of hunching over my phone to do everything (a sign of my age, I guess). But it is what I need to do. Yep, I have to say that, having the same color of trim throughout the house, really does work--easier for paint and provides some kind of "throughline" in the house. Ours is a "cloud white" color and it looks clean and crisp with all of the paint colors---it is similar to our kitchen cabinets as well. Thanks, yes, my DM will get over it. "Talked" to my sister yesterday (the one you met) in Los Angeles--she was sharing that there are crowds everywhere there so masks are a must and that people get angry with others who don't wear them. She is convinced that we will be wearing them into next winter. I guess we will see! Hope that today is a good day for you!
Sue: Sorry about the discomfort of the masks! So many people are selling them here, how about there? On Etsy you can find them too. I am going to try to make some this weekend with some nice, soft fabric that I have. Does your office have those thermometers that don't touch your skin? That is what they are encouraging here (and they used that on me before I could even step into the lab last week). I saw my lab numbers last night for my appt tomorrow---they are GOOD and I should be hearing GOOD things tomorrow. I swear, everytime it is about making something "even better"---it is insane. How I feel should factor in. Hope that the mask adjustment goes better today.

Christine: I need to pre-track my meals today---I AM GOING TO DO IT! Thank you for the motivation!
Jo: What are you reading? I am finishing up a detective story and will be looking for something else soon...maybe it's time to read a "self-help" kind of book. Not sure. So glad that you are having nice weather!
Lisa: How are you doing? Hope to hear soon!
Hello to Jenny, Shelly, and Nadine--hope that you ladies are healthy and feeling more "in control" in this crazy, out-of-control world! I need to get moving. Might check in later--hoping for some sunshine today!

Good afternoon! Thanks for starting us this morning Christine... I got a later start than expected - but still wanted to hit the shower before 7, to be out of DH way when he heads up at 7:30... dressed - did my hair - slippers today (too cold for flip flops) long sleeve top with cardigan...
Today started as a terribly dreary day... then turned to rain - later we are (possibly) getting Thunder storms! WILD Ones are predicted! YAY! NOT! Temps up in the high 40s, but with it rainy and no sun it feels colder! LOL
Work is going OK... couple glitches today - but for the most part I can't complain! Clocked out for lunch now...No "laps" around the house today, due to the rain. Yesterday I went outside several times and just walked around the house... yard guy probably thought I was checking up on him! LOL
Let me see if I can catch up a bit...
Oh so YES Move IT Monday was OK... Like I said I did several laps around the house - still not earth shaking steps number of steps I took, but better than some days!
Sue: Oh Dear... I know masks are not very comfortable - but they are ALL the RAGE now-a-days! Hope you were able to speak with DM last night.

Sue, I hope your DM gets good results from the ct scans tomorrow. I am scanning the pictures with my printer/scanner to my laptop. It is a very daunting task. Just think your photos and times that by 3 at least. My Mum has photos for over 89 years plus. She has early, very early photos from both sides of our family. O picture is from my Dads side that is a wedding photo from 1890! Unbelievable. I have never seen these pictures done of my great, great, grand parents from both sides, and older. So many pictures. We have only just started.
Carole, did you get sunshine today? I like your color scheme. You can come visit TN and paint my house next....lol. I have been wanting to do that for a couple of years.
Gabrielle, good for you taking the next couple of Fridays off. Hope you make it outside. Steven is still busy at the store. Glad you got those cup cakes will have to read back to see what you Mom said. I know DS enjoyed it
Waves to Jenny. Shelly, lisa

Oh Dear Christine - I think we are getting those winds and rain later today! YAY for rearranging the calls... but SHOOT that the landscape guy might have to be rescheduled after all! Good luck!!
Oh I am sooo pleased with the yard! My yard guy did a terrific job... and with this weeks rain - it should turn a nice green - soon! Hoping for decent weather for the window guy tomorrow!
I too want some top soil and grass seed... we still have patches where the ruts got filled in with dirt but nothing has grown! I wanted it done yesterday - but maybe it's good we didn't get it done! LOL With the rain we are getting the seed would probably be flooded! That's funny - we need a new mailbox too! Our pole is OK, but the box itself is nasty looking!!
YAY for Gary getting out to Wal-Mart!! Tracy gets frustrated too with folks not reading the arrows on the floor! I think I will put together an on line order... to pick up this Sunday. The nearest Wal-Mart that offers this is in VT, about 25 miles away... but the extra time to drive there will be saving the time for the shopping INSIDE the store!!
Oh I agree... I wouldn't want to be "on call" either! Too bad they can't just swap days in vs out... Good luck to him on that!
Governor Baker announced today no school the rest of the year! Sorry but I think if gyms can be open schools should be able to as well!
LOL No - Tracy didn't finish up the painting, but she DID clean out more of the room! She was going to do more today - but picked up a shift! UGH! Her co-worked has been tested for COVID19 but no results yet... he feels OK but without results they can't let him back!
I think a new "smart" TV for the guest room will be on my Wal-Mart list for pick up! LOL I want the room outfitted, as I go!
YAY for your walk 0 yup, even 20 minutes can help the mood of the day!
GEESH Just sitting here the temps went from 48 to 41 in 20 minutes! That WIND really kicked up wicked! Rain pelting down... wouldn't mind losing power for the next 2 hours! LOL
Sue: Winds are AWFUL here right now! We still have frost advisories most nights. Good sugaring weather though... but that season must be over already... I wonder???
Oh My... poor DM... hoping the CAT Scans show noting to worry about (fingers crossed) Yummm RK Treats... more for my Wal-Mart list! LOL
Jo: Awesome to have a room near the front door! I am hoping we get good weather before I have to go back to the office! Yes, you heard me right... I am not that anxious to give up the at home... if we'd get decent weather while here!! I set up in front of the slider - hoping to open the door and let the sun shine in!! NOT HAPPENING YET!
Thanks for the app info... I'll stick to my walking one... IF/WHEN I walk it registers the stats of the walk!
Christine: WOO HOO for Lindsey!! Not just her WL but also for recognizing she had to go back to the apartment! YUP... so distracting while I am working to have Ken and Tracy watching TV - and discussing it all. They LOVE the "JUDGY" shows... ya know Judge Judy, and Hot Bench... OMG I hate those shows! Yesterday I finally asked HOW THE HECK MANY OF THESE SHOWS ARE THERE? Guess they were over, because Ken shut the TV off and headed back outside! LOL NOW I know why nothing gets done on Mondays!
Good luck catching up with the "off line" students!
Gabrielle: YAY for you getting nice weather and being able to take the Fridays to enjoy some if it! Leave the phone inside! LOL
I'll gladly wear a mask if it will get me out of the darned house!! I think driving to VT Sunday - even in the rain... will be a nice outing for Ken, Tracy Zoë & I!
YAY for good numbers on your blood work! WOO HOO! I say forget about "even better"... time to take the good that you have NOW and enjoy it!!

Hey Jo... I am so envious of your energy to DO the scanning of photos! LOL I have those OLDIES too! My Mom had my Nana's photos... wish now I had seen them 50 years ago, and asked who they all are! LOL My Nana had some that are labeled "me & him"... "him & Peggy"... I know the "him" is my Grandfather, Peggy was my Mom... it's just weird how some are labeled!
Then there are the ones NOT labeled at all! UGH! Good luck as you get them done.
Nope - NO sun here today... and the temp had dropped another 2 degrees in the last half hour...
OK Time for another cup of tea... and finish up my day at work!
♥hugs♥

Gabrielle, I've been into fantasy/ mystery lately. I'm currently reading Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series. VERY good highly recommend. I also read llona Andrew's October Daye series. Love, love both of them!
Carole sounds like you did good yesterday walking. More than I can say. Sunshine is on the way to you.

Carole. My Mum wass very good about going back and labeling who they are. My dad did the same with his army pictures. It's nice too see the names and the faces. Heard stories all these years but never saw these pictures. Wow I'm alreasdy dreading going back to the office. Yes I wear yoga pants and no make every day. When I go to the office I wear makeup.
Christine. Good for Lindsey on both fronts That is the only thing I can say is it is more distracting at home. Well just a different kind of distraction we have some very loud people at work. Good for her for the big losses!
