Happy Tuesday and good morning all. Slept a little better last night. I was exhausted. Shopping and wiping down and putting it all away is no easy feat these days. I'm happy that is over with for the time being.
Woke up to a little sunshine but most important NO RAIN. At least it will be more enjoyable going out for a walk today.
Trying to tackle something each day to keep my mind and body active.
Today I'm grateful for LuLa kisses (and Carl's)
Also grateful looking down at my hands and seeing color on my fingernails.
Going to plan and track my day later...after coffee.

Hi Ann and friends,
What color nails did you choose? Mine are holding out okay but I'll need to redo them soon. It's not like i don't have time to do it! :-) I had a late night last night visiting via FB chat with my hairdresser/second daughter. I am going to pick up her special solution and do my own roots. I can't stand it anymore - even if I am only doing it for me. My DH is fine with roots showing. He thinks I should let it just go gray and forget it- but the problem is it is not all gray - just a wide swath across the top and around face. My dad kept his dark wavy hair until he was in his 70s.
I felt more stressed last night after hearing more news from the "left" coast and DD. Why does he have to make everything SO hard? it's all about control. I'll fill you in privately. But, this too SHALL pass. Things have a way of working out one way or the other. That's all I can hold onto now.
Our precious little DGS is one year old today! Hard to believe it. His other grandparents are driving over to deliver gifts in the driveway. Our DS and DDIL do not want to be close to them since they just dealt with movers, etc. and DD had been ill herself. For safety's sake it will be a drive by sort of visit at least they will see one another. I like Pam's backyard social distancing visits with family. I should suggest that to them. Her parents are dying to see the baby. They are lucky to live about 30 min away from the new house. We'll just have to wait and enjoy a facetime visit for now. He's a funny little fella because he already seems to understand facetime and he lights up with a big smile when he sees us. He's walking around like a champ and has been for about 1.5 months. Look out world!
We finished up our stuffed peppers last night and had our delivery of Hello Fresh later last night. So, this week's menu is: Balsamic Fig Chicken with roasted potatoes and broccoli, Tuscan Pork Sausage & Pepper Spaghetti and Beef Bulgogi Bowls with carrots, pickled cukes and siracha crema. I go easy on the Siracha and just enough for a zing. We both like spicy but not too hot. We'll have the chicken tonight. I have several servings of the Mexican Veggie soup (WW recipe) left and it is very good. I added extra cilantro as we both love it. Breakfast was an Oikos Triple Zero greek yogurt - cherry and a big bowl of strawberries on the side I am making a conscious effort to lower my carbs. It really helps me drop a bit.
I went to my regular WW workshop today via ZOOM. We have a really good group and it's good to see them. Linda's good, too. Okay, I'll take DH kisses, too! I am down 3 lbs this week and it's a result of my re-commitment and the walking. I'll get out today with D&D for another long walk.

I just read a great quote about worry and I am a big time worrier.
"Worry does not empty tomorrow of its troubles. It empties today of its strength."

Judy congrats on your fantastic weight loss. Happy Bday to DGS. Enjoy your facetime visit with all. Love the quote. This is the only bad part of starting new each day.....the posts on the last one My nails are a mushroom color....I forget the name exactly and even though I did them yesterday I really COULD to them again today. No fault of the polish...it's the nail tech doing it LOL....but whatever. All I wanted is for them to be covered and protected. I've accomplished that. My day is planned and tracked. We are having the rest of the pot roast for supper. Very easy peasy. Will pop in later.

Ann, do you usually track in advance of the day? That has worked well for me, too. Have a great day.

Well .... I was the first one to forget to look for a daily thread. I posted on yesterday and wondered where you all were today! I just remembered and am copying my earlier post here:
Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Tuesday!! We have beautiful sunshine this morning with temps in the low 50's. I will definitely get out for a walk as it is supposed to rain later on. I walked once yesterday - twice around the complex - and then felt tired. Maybe it was all the walking I did in Meijer shopping??
I didn't sleep well at all last night and neither did DH. I kept having the strangest dream and would purposely wake myself up to get away from it - then go back to sleep only to go right back to it. Must have been something going on because he had the same dilemma. Hopefully tonight will be better?
We changed our menu for last night and enjoyed the Strawberry Waffles with Turkey Sausage for supper. When I looked at the strawberries, some of them were getting a bit mushy, so we ate them up instead of wasting them. Now I'll make the Hamburger Pie for tonight's supper.
DH has cooked breakfast and we were well-fed, now he is off to do a job and I will go start my day.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
We have had an absolutely beautiful day weather-wise!! Sunshine, a slight breeze and the temp says it is 67 but it feels much warmer out in the sunshine. I took a double walk this morning before coming back to do a few things around here. I drank a Premier Protein drink for lunch. DH had made his famous cheese eggs with fresh fruit bowl (today it was strawberries, raspberries, pineapple and blueberries) and one slice of Dave's bread for me and a slice of Seeduction toast for him. We agreed lunch wouldn't be necessary. But I don't do well when I skip meals, so I drank a protein drink.
DH got home early and we caught up on our day. He has had another service call - as well as his favorite customer texted him about checking the A/C and getting it ready. So he is much encouraged. He got out the clippers and 'gave himself a haircut' this afternoon. I helped with the lower back where he couldn't see - but otherwise he did a pretty good job.
I made Hamburger Pie for supper and just took it out of the oven. It needs to sit and cool a bit before I serve it. I went for my second double walk before I put it in the oven.
Judy ~ I am so sorry your DD is having more difficulty. I went through a very painful divorce many years ago and I can testify that it can be truly horrific. Then DH and I went through his VBF's divorce years ago with him. Because they had joint custody of the kids, it went on and on ..... Hope things get better for her.
Ann ~ Good for you for doing your own nails. I haven't even gotten brave enough to completely clear mine off yet. They are staying together nicely, so why rock the boat?? Cleaning off the polish may be something I will be sorry for. So for now I am just letting them grow out and keeping them filed down.
Time to go watch the news and check on supper.
Have a great evening!!

Good evening! It has been a long, busy day. I got up a little earlier than usual and made my visit to Walmart & Super 1 early. It worked out great and there was hardly anyone in either store. I didn't even have to wait to check out. I was able to find nearly everything on my list except for yeast. I'm not out of it yet, so won't worry too much. It did take me a long time, as I bought everything I thought we might need for the next month or so. Going into Walmart made me SO nervous, I don't want to do it again for a long time. DD1 has offered to go get whatever we might need that we can't get thru online/curbside and I may take her up on the offer. I was surprised to see employees with masks around their necks, where they do no good and some without. I wore mine, wiped when I got back in the car and changed clothes and washed when I got home. CV cases are on the rise in my home parish. One of the nursing homes I normally visit for hospice has had 9 CV cases resulting in death, one of which was my friend's husband. I found out today that they have been denying to families that there were any cases. The parish president blasted them in the BTR newspaper and the state inspectors are all over the place now. They were well-known at the hospice office for being short-staffed and lax on cleaning and hygiene, so no surprise to us. After getting all the groceries stashed and having lunch (leftover onion soup and a half sandwich) I took my walk early. I managed 2 miles in 32.26, a little over 16 minutes per mile! I was very pleased. After cooling off on the patio in front of the fan, I helped DH chop up some of the onions he just harvested. We put 12 quarts + 1 gallon bag of chopped onions in the freezer. The gallon bag will be used to make salsa once the tomatoes are ripe. Before we finished, a storm hit with heavy rain, thunder and lightning and is supposed to continue until noon tomorrow, so it was good that I got my walk in early. After we got all the onion mess cleaned up, DH went to watch the news and I sat out on the patio, listened to the rain and finished my audio book. It was quite good and didn't get very racy until the end, unusual for a Sandra Brown novel, lol. It was a good story with a surprise at the end, so I enjoyed it very much. I chatted with DD1 about the nursing home CV problem and she shared the ordeal some friends have gone through trying to ensure their mother, who resides there is okay. Sad situation! Nursing homes in LA have a very strong, politically-connected association and get away with murder because of it, IMHO. Most states have poured tax dollars into home care which is what people want, is usually better care and is MUCH cheaper. Louisiana still spends 80% or more of elderly healthcare $$$ on nursing home care. Sad! We had leftover roast turned into bbq beef on a bun for dinner, along with leftover veggies from the fridge. It was good and filling. DH has turned in and I am all set to watch another episode of St. Elsewhere. I moved my wakeup time up another 15 minutes this week, so need to get to bed 15 minutes earlier, too. Slowly but surely, I will get this done. Judy - I'm so sorry to hear DD is having problems. At least the kids are still small enough that they won't be aware of much of it. Our backyard visits are possible because Abby is old enough to understand, at least somewhat, the reason and need for distancing. I'm not sure it would work with kids too young to understand why they can't snuggle with Grandma. WOW on the 3 lbs. loss! YGG!!!! Sue - I got a video today of the DGDs playing in the hose. I shivered at the thought of it in 69 degree weather, but they were having a blast. I'm glad your DH is getting some jobs again. Good for his pocketbook, but also for his grief over losing his VBF. Hopefully, your strange dreams will be gone and you will both rest well tonight. Ann - Your nail color was "Totem-ly Yours" a cute name. Glad you slept well and the rain left you. Unfortunately, it came my way today, so there is probably more in your forecast later in the week. Sweet dreams to all!
