Gabrielle...I can only imagine how hard it is to breath in the N-95 masks...I know that if the cloth ones are too heavy they are tough to breath in...I will say, I LOVE my new masks...I have very "happy ears" and my glasses do not steam up! They are cut that they scoop down a bit under my glasses so when I breathe my exhaled air doesn't go under my glasses and steam them up...plus the air goes out the bottom because they are a bit wider on the bottom. Definitely worth the $$$. The woman at work that gave me the link also wears glasses so she had the same issues I do....I'll post a picture later....
LOVE your idea of a vacation to Hawaii....sounds like if you can get the flights as soon as available you should be able to snag a great deal!! Yes, I heard SW flies out of Sacramento to HI...Shea's sister Bryn lives in Sacramento and flies out of there all the time! YES...any beach in FL is fine with me!! I'm in! Yes, I think it was Clearwater that Christine mentioned...I've been there a couple times for gymnastics meets and it's a nice beach!! Can't wait!
Thanks for starting us off Carole....honestly, not sure I had a "Monday Mindset" today....I had packed a nice healthy lunchbox and even brought home a couple snacks I didn't eat. Actually got plenty of water....when you are wearing a mask, a sip of water is an excuse to pull your mask down LOL...I think we are all drinking more water just to get "breathing time"! I would LOVE Chinese right now...every single Chinese restaurant, even though they have always had carry out, are closed. I'm hoping they start to open soon...unfortunate, I live in an area that can be very "narrow minded" and people were not going to Chinese restaurants because they think the virus was "sent here by China"! Really? Yes, I deal with some very small minds sometimes!
WOW Carole...I woke up to 61° and it was about 65° when I left work with bright sunshine but crazy winds...it is supposed be chilly the next several days with rain on Wednesday and Friday....even the weekend is to be cooler than normal but still sunny so I'll take that. With the nice warm sunny weekend, having the windows open, our house is 75.2° right now...I actually have a couple window open right now to try and cool it down a bit...I think we will manage to get through the "chilly days" without heat!
Hopefully your plan for things for Tracy and Ken to do kept them "out of your hair" at least for a while today!!
Actually Carole...not sure if we will have baseball at all this year....Colton's team plays out of MD and Parks and Recreation there is not planning on opening anytime soon so right now his coach is looking for a possible fall league or a couple tournaments to at least play a little bit of baseball this year.... So far both boys' games have been cancelled well into June!! Both Kellen and Colton's coaches are doing some fun virtual conditioning and challenges for a bit of "team bonding" on Zoom...Colton's coach is trying to organize a virtual "home run derby" for next weekend!! LOL!! Have to admit, the creativity of some people is amazing through all of this!!
WOW Carole...sounds like your local pizza place might just benefit from the COVID-19 chaos.....might give them a chance to start slow, build up some patrons and get back on their feet "better than ever"
Yes....I want to be able to sit on the porch and I want a roof over mine if it's a rainy day...I love to smell the rain, listen to the gentle drops on the roof but if I can't get to it w/o going outside, it's not good! Plus, when you live in the country with little or no traffic in front of your house, you don't care if the porch is on the front of the house...that is where the sun comes up and would the perfect way to start my day with a cup of coffee!!!
How far are you from Avon CT Carole...that is where we will be??? Heck, who knows, we can maybe meet you somewhere...maybe at the flower bridge and grab some Maple soft serve??? Remember, that is where we went last year when we visited with Karen and Bobby....we had ice cream, smelled a few flowers, hit a micro-brew and winery all in the same trip!! Would make sense to get the slate then if you haven't found a home for them. Really, if someone close wants them....get rid of them but if not, I'll take them off your hands. Hopefully we can make it to CT over Labor Day!
