Starting us off early. Hopefully the pipe dudes will come look and FIX the problem with the pipe. THEN hopefully the HOA will cover the bill. Just tired and worn down... Sweet dreams

Hey all!
It is a sunny, but cool day. I've already been to Stop & Shop and was able to find lamb chops, ground beef, chicken and all the F&V we needed. I also picked up Mother's Day cards and a large carton of newborn diapers to take to my hairdresser/second daughter. She is home and not working with a 3 year old and a newborn so diapers should help out. Sometimes practicality wins out!
Pam, so sorry for your washer incident and then having the second one peter out, too. So glad you are getting a new one today. We are so dependent on our appliances. You did a lot hauling out the old one. We have to get rid of an older second fridge at the Cape that is no longer working. Not sure if we will even bother to replace it since we have a deep freeze there, too, but it is handy to store all the soft drinks, water and beer when the company shows up.
Sue, if I could sing "You're in the money!" I would! Hallelujah. Money may not be the cure all but it sure does help. So glad you got your stimulus check. DD is, too! She's so relieved. I used to have a colleague who had the same expression everytime he returned to the office from the field. HE always said "Any phone calls, presents, money or mail?!" It cracked me up. You also accomplished a lot yesterday cleaning and shopping. Glad your stores are stocked now.
Ann, I hope the pipe person and the HOA brings good news. I'm sending you all my positive prayers and vibes. What is a new wave oven? That is one I don't know and I am a gadget girl! Is it another name for your air fryer?
I dropped the lb I picked up over the weekend by lowering carbs and increasing water. But, today I was in a mood for a sandwich so I picked up some Joseph's lower carb 70 cal wraps and already had an early lunch of Boar's Head ham and swiss. It was so good. I'll have a tossed salad later if I'm hankering for one. I did buy some new Bolt House dressing - after Pam's suggestion! I wish I could find the other one you always talk about, Pam. Not Bolt House but a Garlic one.
TTFN...back to work. Judy

A new wave oven cooks in record time....You can take a frozen chicken put it in and it will be done in 2 hours. Some will leave it in until it's finished cooking. When I do a frozen bird, I put it in until I can get the 'innards out' and then finish cooking it. We got it on Amazon, but lots of stores also carry it. Just another 'fun gadget' added to the mix. The pipe people are gone. We will hopefully know 'whopayswhat' later on...hopefully it WON'T be us! Matt, the guy that is head maintenance here used to work for ServePro and said that he NEVER saw a bill that high. He also mentioned that the guys that came were from Connecticut and should NOT have been in the state of MA during COVID-19. He and Marilyn are going to talk to the people at ServePro and try getting a reduced bill.....I am totally bowing out of this as there is only so much pipe/water/cleaning under the house DRAMA I can take. So I will leave it alone as there is nothing more I can do. LOL to any presents money or mail that put a smile on my face, Judy. Congrats on your weight loss. Yes cutting back on carbs sodium and upping the water work for me as well. That being said, we ARE having pasta tonight I can't go too long without it..it's just in my DNA Also happy that you scored at the market. All good! Happy to say I did finish my book before it poofed. Now going to relax while Carl is out mowing our neighbor's lawn and find something else to read. Later...............

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
I wanted to post this morning, but I got busy with paying bills and making up bank deposits (deciding what to put where) and by the time I was finished and went to the Credit Union - it was almost lunchtime. I came home and took a walk around the complex and then saw DH was home, so fixed us some lunch. Time flies when you're having fun!! Nonetheless, I am here now and glad to see all of you in the Cafe.
Ann ~ Your pipe drama has certainly gone on long enough. You are so wise to just step away and let the powers that be handle it. I didn't know you were still having problems?? I am also 'shopping' for a new book in my Kindle library.
Judy ~ You really scored with your shopping trip!! I am happy that I have plenty of meat in my freezer so I really want for nothing. Our rotisserie chicken last night was good and there's enough for a couple more meals.
Pam ~ I am so sorry about your washer dilemma. I also worry when I see a 'small puddle' because in my experience it has always developed into something bigger. You two did a bang-up job hauling that out. Hope you LOVE your new washer!
We had a big salad last night with Avocado Ranch dressing and rotisserie chicken breast on top. I had a SF pudding cup for my snack. This morning DH made his cheesy eggs and fresh fruit and one slice of Dave's Killer bread (thin sliced) for me. Lunch was a small hamburger for DH and guacamole with corn chips for me. I have been back out for a second (double) walk this afternoon. We are having leftover pork sirloin tip roast for supper with riced cauliflower and cinnamon apples and lima beans.
I finished my second Medieval Romance in the series by Kathryn LeVeque last evening. Today I will be 'shopping' for a new book as I've downloaded some other new ones in the meantime. I like to mix them up so I have variety of styles. I still need to peruse my BookBub offerings for today.
BBL. Make a great day!

Happy reading, Sue. I landed on a freebie by Carole Brown The Strawberry Hearts Diner. I'm still into fluffy reads. Sounds like you had a busy morning. Carl mowed our lawn and our neighbors. Now he's back out there playing

Ann - I know you would like to see a resolution to the whole mess. Sending good vibes. I researched and it seems your black flies are the same as our bull gnats, so the vanilla in water should work. Glad you got your book finished in time!
Judy - Garlic Expressions Classic Vinaigrette is the name of that dressing. I love it on salads, to marinate cooked veggies and I save the garlic cloves left when the dressing is gone to cook with. I know you are relieved that DD got her SBA loan. I hope the consultation with the attorney went well.
Sue - Wow! You are rolling in $$$ now! Sounds like you had successful shopping trips. Some people want to turn everything political. I don't have the stomach or the patience for it, on fb or in real life. You are brave to let your DH cut your hair! I wouldn't let mine near me with scissors, lol. Of course, he won't let me near his hair with scissors, either.
Well, I alternated looking at videos on propagating specific plants and then doing my best to copy with mine. I played in the dirt all morning. This afternoon, the new washer was delivered and installed, minus an instruction booklet. I have been trying to get the same load of towels washed since 5:00 pm. I finally realized it was set on a 2 hour soak cycle, so shut it off and restarted. Twice. I hope I don't have to call them to come get it tomorrow. I printed out an instruction booklet I found online. Wish me luck!

Pam, thanks for the garlic expressions name. I haven’t seen it around here but I’ll keep looking. Maybe Whole Foods?
