Liz, Denise even though it is Nurses Day, I think we should celebrate all the staff who make it possible for nurses and doctors to do their work like you two.
Good luck with the plant sale today, Karen. I saw that mew series, Upload, on Prime Video a d wondered if it would be good. Right now we are going through, Lovejoy, on Acorn, about an antiques dealer in England who gets into a sorts of scrapes and financial problems. I saw it years ago on PBS. If plants didn’t follow you home, I would think something was wrong.
Linda, how are you feeling today? Did the roofers wake you up? Maybe you should decrease your news intake as it causes so much anxiety these days.
Becky, I hope the doc can figure out what is going on with your calf and ankle. Good luck today. I saw an article on a Dallas based restaurant that told employees if they wore a mask they were fired. They are all nuts here, too. We had a 60 yr old man who claimed the virus was a hoax perpetrated by Democrats who died from it. It did not teach any lessons.
Kathy, if it wasn’t Italian or didn’t come on a food push cart near the museums in Manhattan, I didn’t know about it. When one of my aunts in Kokomo took me to a McDonalds it was a revelation.
I was planning on going to the grocery today for tomatoes and fruit but something upset my stomach and I can’t get too far from home. I ordered bird seed from Amazon as I am almost out. Wild Birds is open but it is a teeny tiny store and there is no way to get 6 feet apart and it is time for their Mother’s Day sale and last year it was wall to wall people. No thanks! We moved the feeder farther away from the house as the doves were making a mess of the sidewalk and patio, but I am not able to see it unless I am in the kitchen. The good news is that the squirrels can’t climb on the window screen and leap over the anti-squirrel cone and bolster onto the feeder. The ash tree is finally beginning to leaf out but I don’t see anything on the locust trees yet. It has been a strange spring weather wise. We turned the heat back on last night. Iggy was sitting on the couch with a turtleneck rolled up past his nose, so I figured he was cold.
Have a good Wednesday.

Thanks for the start, Chele. How was your Cinco de Mayo dinner? Good time for National Nurses Day. Maybe should be National Essential Workers Day this year. I second your celebration of Liz and Denise. This week and next week's 9-1-1 is a 2-parter. Did you watch part 1? We haven't yet.
Linda, you are so right about stupid can't be quarantined any easier than it can be fixed. Are you recovered from your WF trip?
I hope the appts with the surgeon and PT supervisor go well today, Becky. I hope you will be able to get an answer on what's going on with your foot/ankle and that you'll be finishing out the remaining PT in the center. I hope you'll be able to get things done during the appointments without being rushed. They were saying on the a.m. news that the way cases have started rising again, the respirators will be back in short supply by the first of June.
Denise, I think all of us here love food and love to eat. That's part of our shared problem. Get some rest since you worked last night.
I saw Val Demmings on TV this morning, Kathy, and she was talking about the theme parks and how well they were attempting to manage things with 77K employees laid off. I really hope Biden will choose her as his running mate, but Susan Rice would also be excellent. Intriguing Outlander. You know I'm relieved that Bree, Roger, and Jemmy went back through the stones, but I hope they ended up where they intended. I wonder if they will celebrate their 201st wedding anniversary next year. I'm guessing Claire getting kidnapped was in the book and hope the revelation to Ian wasn't a cause.
Liz, hope you're having a good day.
I am just about to get ready to leave so I'll post this and be on my way. Probably will be home late so may not get to check back. We had rain move through about an hour ago, so I'll have to be prepared for wet feet. Hope we have lots of buyers so we can get the greenhouse empty.

Same “stuff” with stupid people everywhere.
The true believers do not believe the death and infection stats or reality. They want it to be a political thing Connected to China. Meanwhile 28% think the numbers are deliberately low as well as not counting people who died without testing way back to a December.
congrats on the feeder fix and I cannot believe the weather in May back there!
yeah, too much news. I tend to be in FB too much and get infected by the outrage and news posts, but it is kind of a substitute for not getting out to my classes ,errands, or work to see people. Going to have to work on that. It is making me a nervous wreck.
Becky, hope the appointments go well. all Zi can think of is that old song the —bone's connected to the —bone...
Denise, at least fewer people around by your shift? Is your online name because you are a fan of the song?
Karen, hope the plant sale finishes well. I know they have lots of regulations planned for opening stuff, but some people just refuse to do it. We have two sheriffs here for two counties...one that has a Tucson, who refuse to arrest or tube violators. I just hope we get a decent holiday season Nov..Dec.not counting on it.
Went to women's center today...bladder infection that irritates dry post menopausal tissues plus antihistamine drying from allergies.,quite painful. So I get to mask up and venture out to Walgreens for meds now. Sigh.

Karen, the burritos were fine. I haven’t watched 9-1-1 yet. Enjoy time with GF and selling the plants.
Linda, so sorry about the kidney infection. I hope you feel better soon.

Chele, thanks for the start. I agree that all of the staff in the medical community should be celebrated, especially our Liz and Denise! My first time at McDonalds was in high school. We were coming home from a football game on the band bus. I still remember the look of horror on the employees' faces when 3 buses full of band kids came in. We didn't do much ethnic food at all when I was growing up, but did have Italian sometimes. Hope you're feeling better. The weather has been strange here too.
Karen, I think Val would be a good choice. I saw that Disney was planning to reopen soon in China, but no date has been set for the US yet. That was an intriguing Outlander. They're pulling some plots from the next book, so I'm not quite sure where Bree, Roger, and Jemmy landed. In the books, there was another person involved that hasn't appeared on the tv series yet. I hadn't thought about the revelation to Ian being a cause for the kidnapping. It may just be a way to blackmail Jaime, but it would be interesting if the time travel was involved. Did you watch Killing Eve? Hope you sold lots of plants!
Linda, hope you're feeling better soon.
Waving to all and hope you have a good evening.

I'm sorry I didn't get back for personals. I agree Liz and moonriver Denise are just as much of our medical community as the nurses and should be celebrated and thanked. I had a good appointment with the surgeon. They took x-rays of the knee and he said it looked great.Everything is where it's supposed to be.He does want to make sure the calf pain isn't a blood clot even though he doesn't even think it is.He wanted it done today but no openings until Monday.PT supervisor doesn't think it is one either because she said it would hurt all the time. Some of my minor pains are from a little swelling still inside of the knee plus my curve of the knee is still 5 degrees off which will be addressed in outpatient PT where they have machines I can work on.She gave me a few tips on how to use certain muscles to help soreness and pain.I was released from home health care and have my first initial assessment at the Elgin PT clinic next Wednesday. Have a good day everyone.
