Morning all...not much time but got us started!! The sun is shining, it's chilly but should warm up to mid 60's for us today!! Hoping the house warms up a little bit before the rains come tomorrow and the temps down in the 40's!! Don't want my decision to turn the heat off to bite me in the caboose!! The only good thing about our heat is it's room by room so I can just turn it back on to take the "chill off" in the bathroom, kitchen/dining room and living room....I'm just being stubborn and don't want to!!
I decided on the title today because of the struggles we are all going through now with this virus. Yes, some of us have been hit harder than others, many are just inconvenienced by life as we know it now but are still working! But this situation can make us think more negatively than we normal would...
So today I challenge all of to make a Thankful list....5 things that we are blessed to have....
1 - my health 2 - my job 3 - a full freezer and pantry 4 - the love of my family and friends that I can lean on when I need them 5 - hope of the growing garden that we will continue to move toward a normal life.....spring is the reminder that as dark as the winter is....new life blooms again.
Have a great Thursday...see you after work!

Good morning Sue - Thankful Thursday... yes, thankful for so many things - need to remind myself of this, instead if dwelling on what I don't have ♥
For some reason - yesterday was a tough one for me... out of the blue... then met with roofing guy last night - very LONG intense night, and I could NOT wind down after he left! He was here 3 hours! UGH! So much to "take in" and so MUCH to think about!! Gonna be a long day today for sure!!
I slept "late" still haven't showered... but not stressing - yet... need more coffee and quiet time before hitting the work space!
Today I have to get through the day - then head to Tractor Supply... we need even MORE pellets!! With the weather we are having - who knows if we will EVER shut off our heat this year!!
Woke up this morning and Ken was in the other room! LOL HE was awake during the night - tossing and turning... so NOT like him! He didn't want to disturb me - funny thing, I never heard a thing once I fell asleep! Too weird!!
OK Going to try to catch up before I have to head over to work... will shower and get dressed during my break in a little while... I know, not what I should do - but today it's what I AM doing! LOL If I head up now I will be in Ken's way - so today it is this way... ♥

OK So my Water Wednesday was OK... not as stellar as Tuesday - but OK! Today I work on it more! "Thankful" I can just refill my bottle ANY TIME I WANT TO these days!
I needed new batteries in my scale so today will be first fly by all week! Eeeek!
Christine: SMILE GF....
WOO HOO for getting into the office!!! Thank goodness DL kept HER distance! Sorry the parent didn't show up... but glad you were productive while waiting for a no-show! UGH!
WOW A two hour day?? Hope the Prince isn't getting overwhelmed! He will be when he has to come back to working a normal day!
YAY for new desk... LOL Carly got Gary to lug it upstairs!! She is on a mission that girl! OMG Seriously? Three hours? Alone?? You ROCK GF!! I'd have made DD do it since she wants you out of the DR so badly! LOL Then again - I am not "handy" like that - I get too frustrated, so DH and DD would have been building it while I was out! Well glad DD did the vacuuming for you... LOL Oh my... not sure how you hold it together as you do! {{{hugs}}}
WOW How did you survive all those meetings yesterday???
Sue: We are expecting that cold dreary rain - possible snow overnight tomorrow... don't want to deal with it!!
Gabrielle: So glad you connected with a meeting!! I might be interested in joining a meeting - my issue would be timing I guess. Yes, I am the same way - usually once I brush my teeth in the morning I am done with coffee... but not lately! I don't get to my tea until way later than a normal work day... must be why my eating, etc. is out of whack too!

Gabrielle: Yes, Wednesday was a better work day... emailed Crystal with my balancing trouble - she "promises" to look into it today! I do like a QUIET place for work... one reason I wouldn't mind working from home more - if the internet gets straightened out! Which should be soon - if the new modem isn't a big help, we will invest in our own! Heck, we can try it for a week or two and return it if we are not any more satisfied!
Still have my fingers crossed that Sunday is good enough day to be outside... I will tell everyone to bring a sweatshirt! LOL
Sue: Oh dear... sorry Jason made last night a cooking night! Yes chicken is good in so many ways... for leftovers... I also re-freeze it after it's cooked, makes another meal so much easier "next time"... Yes, unfortunately Shelly's in laws are much like mine! Remember last year I saw the picture of SIL's birthday where she "celebrated turning 60 with her family and friends"... kind f tells me where we fit into that part of the "family" huh???
OMGosh what a roller coaster for your DM! I would be soooooo angry and frustrated with the whole process by now... GOod for Annie or Jim for being able to get there and deal with it all!
LOL Yup - that's the one I was mixing up... the Rutavala and the Progessence... used it again last night - didn't help me fall asleep but I wasn't awake for most of the night! It was either the oils or the NyQuil! LOL
Yeah - I was surprised - my mask is bigger than it looks too! I had my mask on yesterday - getting the nose wire "fit" and all before the roof guy came... but we were outside to begin with and by the time he came in - I didn't worry about it. He offered to wear one, but honestly I wanted to be able to hear and understand everything he had to say! LOL Again - with Ken working at the store every day - we know the "risk"...
Yeah - common sense is certainly LACKING these days! Oh I know... I just want to get the better weather before I head back to the office! LOL

Good morning!
Wow, SO tired today! My run will have to come later. Our Supt asked me to join him for a call with his asst. yesterday morning and asked me to "take over and guide" the reopening of schools conversation with the Superintendents. Eeek...this is HUGE. My pre-planned meeting with them is today at 2:00 and my plan had been only to discuss scheduling. So.....in addition to my planned meetings and work, I began reading hundreds of pages of other plans and sorting through them--didn't get to bed until 11 pm last night and up at 4:30 to try to finish reading. My Zooms start today at 8:00 and go back to back until 3:30 pm. I am TIRED. We did order food out (the third time I think since this all started) from a local chinese place....our Chinese places closed because they couldn't get the deliveries that they needed to prepare the food. Now, the deliveries are coming again so some reopened. I had Wor Wonton Soup (and a piece of DS20's sesame chicken) and it was good! Tonight I am back on track with the planned chicken/asparagus picatta (sp). Maybe I will actually have time to cook (I hope so!)
Sue: I can see why you were unsettled at work yesterday after seeing that email from DB. By the way, DB is AMAZING with how thorough he is with you...you need to know that. I have never been so thorough with my siblings. Wow. Glad to hear that he could be in the room with her (what a great thing) and that the day ended on a positive note. Sue, I don't recall the name of my mom's med. We haven't talked about it for a while and they have changed it twice (this one seems good). I will have to ask. Thank you for the reminder to be thankful! For a while, I was updating things to be thankful for daily in my notebook but I had run out of ideas so I stopped .....yesterday I actually put something in it again. Here are my 5 things: 1. Thankful that my entire extended family is healthy 2. Thankful that I live close to my mom and check in on her. 3. Thankful that my husband is the opposite of me and can calm me down as needed (and vice versa) 4. Thankful that I have my running to help me "deal" with the stressors 5. Thankful for the leadership team at my office who are supportive and caring.

Carole: So sorry that the roof guy caused so much disruption in your sleep (and DH's as well maybe?)...who would have thought? Is it because there are so many choices? Well, I guess that it is good to have choices (in the long run), right? Especially if you plan to sell, etc. at some point. Hope that you feel better about it today. I wasn't as good with my eating yesterday, but I did track and I am moving on today (which I know already will be better)...the anxiety really makes it harder for me to make good choices...especially when I can't GO anywhere...seriously, I haven't been anywhere really (like you I think). I actually am thinking about returning to the office one-two days/week in a couple of weeks. Some of these group projects are getting hard and I need to make photocopies, etc. One of the local counties opened up a MALL of all things so, on the news, they showed people entering the mall (a semi crowd). They showed the stores monitoring the # of people in the stores, but NO control over the crowd coming in. It made me mad---I know that area and it is a huge, low-income area where there are so many people who are uninsured and need assistance....and here they are exposing themselves (no masks)...and I don't think there are enough hospital beds to hand a surge. It just feels so irresponsible. We will see in the next two weeks what happens I guess. I hope that you have a good day! Sounds like your head is in a good place
Christine: How are you doing? Enjoying that new desk? Hope that all is well and (maybe) Gary is selling some cars?
Hello to Jenny, Shelly, Lisa, Jo, Nadine, and all who follow. Need to shower and get my "head in the game". Hope that you have a good day and I look forward to seeing what you are thankful for!

Good evening all. I got here last night and dozed off so I never posted anything. So here is the progress for now. DH has to get a slightly bigger board for the last board of the deck. Then stairs and railing and we will be done all but sealing. Trying to decide if I want natural or stained. What do you think? I kinda think I want stained but undecided. So yesterday evening I had a some jellybeans I found and decided to eat some and it pulled a cap right off my tooth!!!! OMG can I have any worse luck with my teeth. Someday I will just pull them all!!!! I wish I could afford implants I would do that and never have to worry again. Anyway the dentist got me in right away and I had saved the cap and she was able to fix it!!!! Yay a win for my tooth this time!! So I may have mentioned DDIL Vicky (lives here) and DGD’s probably won’t be here for the bday celebration 😢🥺😢. She said she has a niece that is coming g Saturday and leaving Sunday. Good chance this niece will be living with them by the time school starts back up. Makes me sad. She knew I was planning this and you only turn 50 once. Gonna call her in a bit to find out. Anyway the party is for both DFIL and I even though I said it was for him. I didn’t want to spend my bday alone this year like I did my 40th. DFIL will be 83 Saturday. Work is still going good. Just wish I was getting more stock than I am. Still a lot of out of stock items but we are making progress. Everyone at work has been good about coming in and filling in when needed. I certainly do appreciate their hard work!!!! Ok need to go back and read. Will do my best to do personals before going to bed

Sue my Thankful Thursday...... 1. Health 2. Job 3. Family 4. The love my husband has to build me a porch when he isn’t even a carpenter 5. ALL OF YOU!!!!! Thank you for being here and listening when I want to vent or have a pity party 5. That I have Some of my grandchildren that live close enough to see more often than my other DGC
Ugh to having to cook last night. Sorry DH didn’t get the freezer shut good. Hopefully he is a little more careful of that. Thank goodness you caught that!!!
Carole sorry yesterday was a tough one!!! I get that. I’ve had some days that I’ve just not felt good about the day at all. And let me tell you ppl with no common sense really does me in!!!
Oh my I can’t believe you are having to get more pellets!! Although setting on the porch tonight I was a little chilled which I’m not sure why. It wasn’t really that cool but once the sun was behind the house and I was just setting I needed something on my arms. But if I got up it was to much.
Oh this week has been tough on me getting up and out the door on time!!! I’ve got to do better. Especially when boss gets back. I push it as it is but this week I’m getting there right when the doors are supposed to be open.
Gabrielle wow I would be terrified to lead the meeting for the school!!! But then again we all know how great you are at your job and how much the depend on you!!! I’m sure it went smooth. Sorry you was up so late prepping for it though.
Hey have you guys had anymore zoom meeting for the group. If you guys do any again please send me a FB message or text message and a link to join Incase I’m free. My phone number is 580-938-1040. Any of you feel free to reach out.
My WO was a no go due to the tooth issue. Ugh why is it so hard to get all 3 days in every week. I already know I will probably have to cancel the last week of the month because we are updating our registers and back office computer Tuesday after Memorial Day and I will need to be around for any issues that will arise. I hope it’s a simple change. Pulse I am getting some dental work done that Thursday.
Christine I’m sure it was nice to get out of the house for a little while and be back in the office. Glad DL stayed clear for the most part. WHAT.....only 2 hours for the prince. How is that even fair?
Glad your desk came in but man DD really is having issues with you boing in “here” space. Nice of her to get it upstairs for you though even if it was due to reasons she might not want to say out loud lol. I’m shocked at how she feels like you are invading her. Uh hello it’s the other way around.... You pay the bills and keep the house going... not her. Anyway I guess this way you don’t have to listen to anyone complaining your to loud or whatever they have to say
Oh about the 2021 trip I will have to see. I know I only get 2 weeks off for vacations and that is always Ed used to see the kids with no time left over. They live so far away we can’t hardly just go for a couple days. But please do give me details just in case.
Ok I’m going to head to bed. Maybe I will get up better. Hope to check in tomorrow
