nybuckeye, Hi Chele boy I agree we are living in a twilight zone where nothing seems like the same. Are things opening up in Ohio? Our governor Gretchen Whitmer has just about everything closed till May 28. Nurseries where you can buy plants and lawn service has started up but that's about it. I went to Lowes the other day and it was opened. I hope you have a great day I gotta eat breakfast yet and get to bed cause I worked last night.

Thanks for the start, Chele. Totally agree on the Twilight Zone! Reminds me of the Golden Earring song by the same name. We are supposedly remembering more of our strange dreams because life has slowed down. Don't know if I buy that theory.
Becky, how is the knee today? Did you watch the Amarillo church service or wait until your local one went online? Good luck with the ultrasound. At least you should find out if you have a blood clot.
Happy Birthday to Bob, Linda. I'm so happy you found the thorn in poor Micki's paw. Arya will sometimes get things stuck in hers but they are easy to find because she doesn't have furry paws. Sounds like he was pretty excited to get a pain-free walk. So happy you won't have to do the curbside vet today. You don't need bears there. You have all kinds of nasty creepy crawlies like scorpions and tarantulas, not to mention roof rats. What a sweet call with DSIL. Enjoy your dinner from Flemings. I know how both of you like their food. What kind of cake are you baking?
Kathy, what are they saying about hurricane season and the pandemic? They would have to really space people out in shelters so I hope we don't have anything major enough that people couldn't ride it out at home. I hope the pond gets a bit of a refill, but also that you don't get any serious weather. How's DM doing? Bet she had a quieter Mother's Day than ever. Did you watch Outlander and Killing Eve?
All the Lowes around here have been open the entire time (considered essential), Denise, and are always crazy busy. Are you on permanent nights? How long are your shifts and how many do you work per week? What do you have for breakfast before you go to sleep? That was one of the difficult things for me when I worked nights, because I had to eat really light or it kept me awake. I tended to just grab something small and then eating a meal when I woke up.
Liz, how was the weekend and how are things going at work? I know a lot of the additional resources like USNS Comfort, Javits, and the other additional facilities are gone, so I hope that means you are seeing a slowdown in the hospital as well. There seem to be a lot more cases in the DC area right now, including the WH (where they weren't wearing masks or social distancing--shame on them) and one of our senators is in quarantine because a aide tested positive and I'll bet there were several after the Senate went back into session.
It's Monday, so that meant cleaning, which is done. I have 3 or 4 masks that I started yesterday and hope I can finish them today. I don't know what has started blooming in the past couple of days, but it has really stirred up my allergies. I suspect grasses from the look of our yard.

moonriver, I hope you enjoyed breakfast and are snoozing away. Lowes and plant nurseries never closed here. Offices, distribution and manufacturing opened up last Monday. May 15 will be barbershops, salons and outdoor restaurant seating. May 21 will be indoor restaurant seating. We still donβt have a date for child care centers for most children, movie theaters, gyms, campgrounds, tattoo parlors, laser tag facilities, roller skating rinks, ice skating rinks, arcades, indoor miniature golf facilities, auditoriums, stadiums, arenas, parades, fairs, festivals, bowling alleys. Linda, Happy Birthday to Bob. I hope he enjoys the pineapple upside cake and the Flemings takeout. We probably wonβt go inside a restaurant until there is a vaccine. That was so nice of DSIL to wish you a Happy MOtherβs Day, since she thinks of you that way. I am happy to hear that you fixed Micki right up and nobody had to go to the vet. Becky, good luck with the ultrasound. When is your first session at the PT center? Kathy, how are the allergies today? We have had rain but the wind has been gusting so it is still a high pollen level for the trees. Iggy and I are still feeling it today. The people who do the pick for the pickup groceries are Kroger employees. The ones who do it for Meijer are Instacart employees. The Kroger employees did a better job. The Instacart person did not even know what mint looked like so could not find it. Karen, I found hair ties at Kroger on Friday and was able to pull my hair into a 2 inch long ponytail, the first one in 30 years. I have been browsing for a new hairstyle, because when I finally feel brave enough for a haircut my hair will be so long I am sure I will want to chop it short again. I hope you donβt suffer long with your allergies. I looked up your area and grass pollen is high while tree pollen is moderate. I went to Meijer this morning because I got their weekly ad by email and it said they had California cherries on sale for $2.99/lb so I got 2 lbs. they are nice and sweet, too. I picked up a birthday card for the grandnephew. I will stick some money in there and mail it tomorrow. His birthday is this coming Sunday. I made and froze some breakfast burritos after I put the groceries away and hit the treadmill after lunch. I am still building my stamina back up. I am waiting for UPS to deliver our plants. I found out that the cherry tomatoes have not shipped yet nor have the green bean seeds. Iggy is not happy. Enjoy your day.

Chele, thanks for the start. It definitely feels like the Twilight Zone to me. I saw an article saying the dreams were from the extra stress we're all dealing with. Lowe's and the nurseries stayed open here too. The grocery shopping here is done by Instacart or Shipt. I'm sure Publix employees would do a better job since they would know the store's products, but some of the Instacart shoppers have been pretty good. Shipt requires a yearly fee, so I haven't tried it. It's not as windy today and my allergies are quite a bit better. Hope yours and Iggy's clear up soon. Karen, I just saw that people in Clearwater are protesting gyms being closed by proving they can exercise without a gym. There is a group of about 40 of them doing exercises outside with no social distancing. Definitely a Floriduh moment. They are talking about possibly using unused hotel rooms for shelters. Not quite sure how that will work since if the coast evacuates, they usually fill up the hotel rooms here. They're predicting a really active season too. DM is doing fine, but that definitely wasn't our usual Mother's Day celebration. I watched both shows. Outlander was especially brutal and not one I'll want to watch again, although I wouldn't mind seeing just the dream sequences. I'm sure I missed a few things. A lot of the episode didn't happen until the next book or wasn't in the books at all. That was quite the episode to put on Mother's Day for Killing Eve!
Linda, Happy Birthday to Bob! Hope he enjoys the dinner and cake. Sounds good.
Waving to everyone. Hope you have a good Monday.

Thanks for BD wishes
hope this day gets better.
picked up BP meds and
After days of leaving messages, asking for callback, I finally went to the place left a note in detail for NP , left an urgent message for triage who handles things. Hour later got email that culture was positive three days only is standard for Uti, so contact if problem!
I made FH's sisters calling for birthday hang up so he could call them in cell and leave line open for nurse.
finally heard from her when she got triage message and the note. She said what messages? I have seven days meds to pick up. Have you ever had only three days antibiotic for UTI? I was feeling good until med stopped. And mine is now back I think...
meanwhile I made the pineapple upside down cake I have made for years, but for some reason the butter sugar bubbled over and smoked up the kitchen. Had to take cake out, clean up what I could with paper towels and long handled BBQ tongs in hot oven , reheat, and finish baking. Looks ok.
Anyone know much about solar light batteries? I can find 3.2volt but the mAH rating (capacity) is 300 and nobody sells less than 4oo. Using too much can cause overheating....fire? But some say 400 ok. My yard in sun is hot as it is!
DH picking up salad, steak, lobster tail and dessert combo from Flemings later.fingers crossed. I am setting table with his favorite dishes now.

Chele Thanks for the start. Yes the last few months has felt like national twilight zone.
Karen The knee feels like it's pulling but the whole leg has hurt really bad today. No reason why other than tight and very sore calf muscles. No clot found so that will have to be addressed in outpatient PT.The other church we listen to is closer to Abilene and yes we listened to it at the regular time since ours didn't air until 6:00 last night. It was a good service.
Chele Lowe's never closed around here either. We already have indoor restaurant seating except for fast food chains who can't move their tables. Barber shops, hair salons and tanning salons opened last Friday.I think gyms can open a week from today. All of this is just at 25% occupancy.Oh yea and movie theaters could open but I don't know of any in Austin that opened up.I have an appointment Wednesday afternoon for the initial assessment.I have 2 sets of orders from the surgeon and then we will set up appointments from there.Even though I have been there before since I didn't have the knee replacement then I am considered a new patient and had to be released from home health first.
Kathy We don't get Instacart or Shipt out here in the boonies.Walmart doesn't do pickup or delivery but sometimes I do a curbside pickup at HEB. I have one started for Wednesday morning since we have to go back to Elgin for my assessment that afternoon. If you schedule it at least 2 days ahead they waive the personal shopper fee. They do have delivery but have never used it.
Linda Happy Birthday to Bob.I'm sure the cake will taste fine.I hope both of you enjoy the dinner from Flemings. That's a long time to be in the hospital. One of the surgeons who is located in my surgeon's practice had to spend a week in the hospital and in ICU.His only started with a headache on a Thursday and by the weekend he was at the ER. I wish more people understood how serious this is.

Wow, Becky, hope they get the leg figured out.
finally got phone call and my UTI med...hour later their manager called to be sure I had been taken care of. The one taking messages never answered who kept hearing from me must have said something. They went to nurse's assistant. I have been there before and this was odd.
