MAKING THE MOST OF MONDAY... The day that some of us are getting BACK ON TRACK... and need to MAKE the Most of this Monday to restart - regroup - or simply move forward. 39 degrees and sunny out here this morning... but expecting T-Storms (possibly severe) later today! Will make it difficult to head outside each hour to get my laps around the house or pool... so not looking like a MOVE IT MONDAY for me! We'll see what I can accomplish as the day goes by!
The dinner plan will be whole wheat pasta with a simple sauce and leftover meatballs... not the healthiest - but manageable! Will pre-track dinner to see what that leaves for the day! LOL
Didn't sleep well AT ALL last night - too much on my mind! So today is starting late and slow! That being said I will have to catch up on yesterday later today... for now I must head to the shower and get the day started! ♥hugs♥

Good morning!
Enjoying our day of sunshine before the rain moves in...this week it is only for a day, but next week is looking like, possibly, quite a few days of rain. Our biggest concern right now is NO hail...it is terrible for the stone fruit at this point and May is notorious for hail storms. Fingers crossed. Busy week with work as we start to hear more about the "conditiions" under which schools and childcare can open. Hopefully it will help us with planning. I had a nice Mother's Day--DM came over as well as DS26 and his GF. We did keep our distance and I think that my mom really enjoyed it (I did!) I got up pretty early to get the cooking done, but did relax the remainder of the day (after DS26 left at 2:00). Hope that everyone else got in some relaxation!
Carole: Thanks for starting us off today---your dinner sounds good and GREAT idea to track it now so that you know what you have for the rest of the day. I am going to hard boil some eggs this morning to have them on hand (duing some phone calls, LOL. So, did Eden finally get her Easter basket? I'll bet that she and Zoe were SO happy to see each other! I look forward to hearing about it. Hope that you can get in a bit of time outside--we know that you love it.
Jo: Hello--good to see you. Hope that maybe your DM is feeling a bit better now?
Jenny: Sounds like a wonderful Mother's Day for you! A good way to break in the new smoker. I have heard of Tic Toc but know very little about it--will look for the video though. Hope that you have a good day (and your sister is probably happy now

Sue: Sounds like a wonderful MD for you! Just what you needed! Was Shea home? Did Hannah have a good day? I hope that, pretty soon, you are all able to see one another again. My mom was so "done" with keeping at a distance. She has been so careful since early March and is really missing seeing people...I do feel for her but could tell that she enjoyed the time together. Hope that you have a good day!
Shelly: So, it sounds like a nice birthday--wonderful! And what better way to break in the new deck than with the people you love? Nice! Yes, good idea to listen to your friends who know about staining, etc. When we did that (for our house which is redwood siding) it made a big difference. Yes, it will be nice to have at least some of it covered, won't it? So glad that you had a nice birthday!
Hello to Lisa, Nadine, Christine, and all who follow. Need to get a move on (of course!)...I look forward to hearing how everyone's day has gone....will try to check in but it will be much later.

Evening all...crazy busy day at work....don't think I mentioned that Sherry is off this week so Julie and I are covering as usual...plus the billers finally finished up on Friday afternoon so I had all the reports to run and get delivered and now my work can start!!
OK....just want to tell you all, I am one happy girl right now...I no longer have to wear a mask at work! I know I have mentioned how hard it is to breathe under those things and I have been getting a cough and really tight chest to the point I have needed my rescue inhaler for my asthma. Well, by today at 10:00am I was already coughing and my voice was getting squeaky so I went to HR and told them that I just couldn't do it and I knew that if you have respiratory issues you do NOT have to wear them. So they told me to get a note from my doctor that states I have asthma and I no longer have to wear one! I'm so happy!! I called the doctor at lunch and by 2:30pm I had my letter and delivered it to HR....Alex said she didn't think that I had to sign any release of anything but she would double check with Kim when she got off her conference call to confirm and let me know tomorrow! It's funny, I walk through the plant the rest of the day without it and no one said a word....I know there will be someone that makes a "stink" but I followed the rules, got my letter and I'm good!!
Shelly....so glad you had a great birthday!!! So glad you got to spend it with you folks and you got one set of steps done so everyone could get on and off the deck!! Smoked brisket sounds yummy!! Our weekend weather was just the opposite....Saturday was miserable and Sunday was nice!! Today is chilly and have those crazy winds back again....according to the forecast by Wednesday not only do the temps start to go up and STAY up but the winds drop from 20-30 mph to single digit winds...will be heavenly!! I think by Wednesday I can really turn the heat off for the season! LOL! Maybe you could cover part of the deck and leave some just a deck for now....a little less $$$ but will give you some coverage??? It's a thought??
Oh no Shelly...we do not need any more rain....the lake at Codorus is all the way up and if you saw the pix from our walk yesterday with Sarah's gang you saw the trail was a bit muddy...actually A LOT muddy in some spots!! We need some dry days!
Thanks for starting us off today Carole...I was running really late and didn't have time to even start us off this morning! Not sure why my morning was so scattered but I was almost late for work!! I think WW pasta and leftover meatballs sounds like the perfect combo for OP and using up leftovers!! Hopefully you got a little movement in today....no, the weather does not sound like it's cooperating for you! Sorry for the cruddy night of sleep...hopefully you can sort through what was on your mind and get a good night's sleep tonight!!!
Hi Jo!!! Hope you had a great day!!
Gabrielle...glad you have a nice day today!! Ah yes, hail can really damage the stone fruit....around here we are just a couple weeks past the blossoms so no fruit to damage here!! Thankfully we don't get hail too often but when we do, you cross your fingers for minimal damage! So glad your DM seemed to enjoy her day with you yesterday!! Glad you even got to relax...it was Mother's Day so you should have earned a little relaxing time! LOL!!
YES INDEED Gabrielle...I definitely needed yesterday!!! I told a couple people at work about my meltdown and they laughed and confessed to similar "break downs" recently!! While the slower pace in many ways is nice, it's lonely! Yes, Shea is home now and it was nice to chat to all of my family yesterday....never did get a hold of my DM....that's another story for later! Kris called to wish me Happy Mother's Day....David called to FaceTime and wish me Happy MD and to chat about DM then 90 minutes of FaceTime with Hannah's gang.
I was actually surprised Hannah didn't say anything except "looks like it was a nice day for a hike" when it came to me "being a rebel" and breaking the stay at home mandate yesterday and going down to Sarah's!!!
Gabrielle...I can totally empathize with your DM....she sounds like me!! I have the advantage of heading to work daily but it's not the same as seeing friends and doing things I love.....So glad she had a good day and got to get out of her house for a bit!
Everyone must be really busy today....waves Jenny, Lisa, Christine, Nadine and anyone else I missed....going to grab some dinner and put my feet up for a bit!!
