Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
A bit excited today. There’s going to be a fly over for our hospitals today. I live about 3 miles from a hospital, schedule flyover at. 12:06. I’ll head to the library and sit in the parking lot, it’s across the street from the hospital.
Upd: got a text from DB. They are going to try and meetup with me for flyover. We’ll go to hot dog stand afterwards and enjoy takeout in the parking lot. Now I’m really excited.
Had a good day yesterday. My work was delivered around 10:00. I talked to the driver a bit. Didn’t start until late afternoon. I was working on the gas distribution cards, they are index cards that staff fills out when they are filling up vehicles for test drives or pickup. Looks like all of the detail staff and the lot guys are back working, and the rest of the parts drivers and a few dealer trade guys are back too. I was thrilled to see all their names on the cards. And I was happy to see a lot of complete fill ups, that means that car has been sold and is ready for pickup. Quite a few sales team on the cards too. NY is opening back up on Friday, our county might be delayed a few days but I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re all back next week.
It’s sunny and cool this morning. I got my walk in yesterday and will get one in today. Temps will start climbing tomorrow, but lots of rain in the forecast too. I’ll make sure my rain jacket is ready. I’ve been pretty good about getting in 30 minutes of some type of exercise at lease 5 days a week.
Dottie - did you get takeout yesterday from that Greek restaurant? My favorite restaurant started out as a small Greek restaurant when I was in my teens. It has expanded and serves great food. I’m sure I’ll order chicken souvlaki one night this week.
Ruth - good job on selling those clothes. Sounds like your a recommended seller.
Will finish up my work today. Then I’ll pickup my wire shelves from Home Depot. Will assemble one in the basement laundry area. Back to basement cleaning, June is right around the corner. As soon as they open up businesses for in house work, I’ll schedule a couple of estimates for my electrical work. That’s the first major project I want taken care of.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, enjoy the fly over. I’m sure it will be neat to see. Sounds like you will have a good viewing area. Great that DB will try to meet up with you and then a take-out lunch, I really like a good hot dog occasionally. It sounds like you will be back to work soon. I’m sure if there are enough precautions in place it will be good to get out and see people.
Ruth, sorry about the MD dinner problems. It sounds like you were very nice about it, it sure wasn’t done on purpose and I guess having a nice dinner in the middle of the week will be good. Hope you sell lots of clothes this morning. I have a dermatologist appointment later this month, I haven’t heard yet if it will be in person or by phone. Hope your hand is doing better.
Our dinner last night was very good. It was chicken breasts in a lemon sauce, the sauce was delicious. There were nine breasts so that will be three dinners for us. There was a big salad and a pan of rice pilaf. The rice pilaf was good and I plan on freezing some of that for other dinners. Then there was baklava for dessert – very good, it is something we don’t have often so we enjoyed every bite of it. Bill is finished with the work he wanted to do in his office/guest room. I helped him move a few of the big items back now he is finishing up. He has a big built in book case – he plans on going thru that and pitching some of the stuff. There are at least 2 dozen binders of presentations that he did. He will go thru the binders but most of the paperwork can be recycled and hopefully we will find a good home for the binders.

Good morning ladies. I’m determined to get on here earlier in the day!! Joy, you will love watching the flyover. We had National Guard flyovers last week. We’re out of the city; but I got to see both the 2 jets that flew over, and then the 2 National Guard cargo planes. We’re just off a major north/south route up towards Duluth, and I think that’s where they were headed back to. DH was out for a run and said he heard both, but couldn’t see them for the trees. I had just gotten home from my walk and heard them, then saw all of them. Enjoy your morning with your DB/DSIL also. And your hot dog lunch!!!
Well it’s going to rain tomorrow; so I’ll move our clothing sale into the dining room. It’s right off our entryway inside the front door. Once she leaves, I’ll wipe down everything and put the clothes back in the bins. She & I were already going to wear masks; so I’ll just keep my distance. I really want to sell this stuff.
Sunshine this morning which is so nice. Rain predicted for tomorrow. Will get in a walk this afternoon after I go pull up a bunch of the clothes.
Joy, you sound excited to be getting back to work! Sounds like the dealership has been busy. I wouldn't have thought about needing to keep track of the gas use for the dealership.
Dottie, how is the floor in your DH’s office? Bet it looks good. What is his next project? Joy, it’s hard to decide what to do in what order. We still have a list of things to do to the house. Deciding when to do what is the challenge.
Ok, I’m going to go start pulling clothes out and get things set up so I’m ready for tomorrow. And then get outside for a walk. And somewhere in there I have to unload and re-load the dishwasher. Have a good day and I’ll check in later.
