My mindset greatly affects how well I do with weight management, and Beck has contributed to me having a good mindset. One thing that helps is I'm still devoted to the idea of avoiding Type 2 Diabetes and understand that my weight and what I eat makes a difference. Also I've gotten to the point that I prefer healthier food although I do indulge in treats, and I don't feel deprived.

Mindset is the key factor to success or failure in the weight loss/maintenance "game".

At this stage of my journey, maintaining boundaries and being mindful have become a way of life. Even when I exceed my usual limits I’m aware that it’s a choice that I’m making and that I will have to balance that behavior with another choice.
