I do this. When I was having problems with almond butter I still remember making the decision at the store not to buy anymore so I wouldn't have to struggle at home.

I remember a leader saying in 1984 that it was much wiser to go OUT for a single serving of ice cream or candy or wine or whatever than to bring a LOT home. Thank you for the reminder. We only have shopping lists filled for us about every week and a half. I think we might venture out more in the future BUT it is freeing NOT to have temptation in the stores and shop more often.

Thanks bbbearsmom, . During this last Beck review I was finally able to accept the fact that I canβt have things in the house that are too tempting. I can ignore them until a certain point and then all bets are off!

luvvinlife, That was me, I would have something in the house and have one serving a day and then about the third I would just finish it. Also my husband can eat out of a pint container of ice cream, have enough and put the rest away. I would often finish the container. It was hard for me to stop eating. With the almond butter I could tell I was getting excited when I went to eat it and I recognized that feeling as being trouble. I do fine with peanut butter. There are certain ways some foods make me feel and those feeling often lead to me overeating. Thankfully staying away from most refined carbs stopped most of those feelings.
