Happy Day All!
PeggySue - have never heard of osteopenia. Hope your results continue to be positive.
BettyJ - Hope the doc was able to help your sinuses.
Phyl - I agree - you should take a nap while you think about what you didn't do the day before and try to decide what you might do today!
Art - Smiled at making DGGS a Seabee. It's a beginning....
Dayle - Dogs always know if you have cheese...and what to do to get it! With the Christmas Eve you're throwing, do not feel guilty about not making potatoes for Christmas Day. You have enough on your plate - and so will they!
Marilyn - sorry DD decided not to take the transfer. I take it the raise would not be enough to cover all the added expenses. How long a drive is it for you to Vegas to see her?
Geri - did you go see Lala Land? How was it? .... Guess you didn't go since you stayed in jammies all day. What made you change your mind, the weather?
Connie - I'm with you - get done what you can and leave the rest. By the way, I do that phone thing - deposit checks online. It's great! Doesn't happen often, but very handy.
Pat - I'm so very sorry to hear about DH's infection. It's sure been a roller coaster recovery period, hasn't it? Take care, please and prayers headed your way.
As you can tell, it's Wednesday and I didn't go to the shelter. I just don't have it in me this morning. Yesterday was a long drive to lunch (well worth it) and I drove even longer on Monday. Just too much - plus it's cold. They'll have enough people. Just sorry I won't see the people and the dogs to hug goodbye for the winter. Having said all that I may have talked myself into going after all!
We had a great time yesterday but tired this morning. At Christmas my emotions are up and down like everyone else's, and today seems to be a down day. Maybe I need to put on my big girl panties and just make myself go. (I still miss Helen!) Now I think I'll go! Crazy how that works! I'm off to the shelter. A bunch of dog kisses and hugs from friends may be just the ticket. See you all later!

Happy Wednesday
Pat - Prayer said for DH to have a cure for his having another infection.
Art - Stay warm in that 9o weather.
Connie - How did you and Zorro do at your 2 groomers?
Phyl - Love that you call temps in the 30's a heat wave.
Betty J - How did your Doctor visit go? Glad you found the purple print fabric.
Marilyn - Sorry about the death in you sister's family.
Dayle - "Why do I always feel like I should be doing something extra for someone and feel guilty when I don't?" The answer is because you are such a really nice, loving, and decent person.
I'm off to Publix this morning. Going early in hopes of beating some of the crowd.
Everyone have a Special day.
Peggy Sue

good morning, wow! you started us early penny. go to the h.s. you will be sad if you don't say goodbye to the doggie and kitties. I am surprised they are not making people wait till after Christmas to pick up pets. I have heard many times over the years not to get the pets before Christmas day. reason being everybody is having a good time and there is so much chaos going on the pet is forgotten about.
today Delona and I will do our bumin. haven't talked to her yet so not sure if we will go to the y. this week is warmer. we are to be In the 30'sand 40's.that will be nice for the holiday travelers.
everyone have a good day. phyl

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Cloudy day but warming up, it's 30*
Last night DS#1 and I went to see the boys in their Christmas Program. They had to memorize 2 Christmas songs with the classmates and then a medley of songs with the whole school. It was very nice.
Today I'm wrapping gifts; I hate this part.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning. Emily, I hate the wrapping too. Wouldn't be so bad if I did it as I buy them but of course I don't do that. Have to wait until the last minute and do them all at once. Nice that we're not having the Christmas celebration with our kids and grands until New Years Day.
Wasn't my sinuses as I thought. Doc says I have TMJ. He could tell as soon as I told him exactly where the worse pain was. He said with care the pain should be relieved. That care is anti inflammatory and soft diet. So no chewy hard or crunchy foods for a couple of weeks.
Had a good time with my friend yesterday. Had lunch, shopped and got our hair cut. We always can find plenty to talk about. DH had a good time too visiting with some of his old work buddies at his union supper.
Today it's rehab and DH brother is going to stop in for a while. I also have to bake a cake to take to to the church for a funeral tomorrow. bettyj

Third day with no sun, but supposed to be coming out later today.
Decorating at the senior center for the party tomorrow. That always entails eating out. Which is airways fun.
Need some breakfast, you all have a great day.

Good morning, Surprise, it really is morning.[7a.m.]...been awake since about 4. No frost, in the hight 30s. Headed to the high 50s. DH feeling much better, couldn't believe how good he seems. Got his shower and is singing[?] Christmas songs and looking pretty spry....says he's going to bake cookies this morning...he's in charge of desserts for Christmas. ") Thanks for your prayers, maybe they worked already. Now to keep him from over doing it. Penny, hope your visit to furry and real people friends is just what you needed this morning...you made me smile already this morning...a rare occurance, don't usually get there until about 10o'clock. ") Betty J., so sorry you have TMJ, I know it's very painful...had it some years ago....it was good for a few pounds off anyway. Hope you feel better soon. I use bags for gifts now...wrap them in tissue paper first. Much easier and faster. Slept on my side wrong or something....arthritis in lower back and down leg...is 'ouchie'. Hope you all have a good day. Pat

Not as cold this morning. 0930 and 27 degrees in NW Tn. Our VFW Post held a "Breakfast for Dinner with Santa" last night. Great turnout. A lot of kids got to talk with Santa. Was a lot of fun.

He had a coat for warmth, but sure was glad to get to that electric blanket ...which has a thin blanket on top to protect it from dog nails. He us not budging.
pot luck Questors Christmas lunch later will be fun. Lots of food and white elephant gifts.

Good morning everyone,
Yesterday went well. The new walk in shower is ready to use. First shower will be this morning. Yay!! The old one piece shower/tub, huge wall sheet mirror and toilet are now gone in guest bathroom. Today the plumber will install the valve, frame out for the drop in tub. The new soaking tub arrived yesterday. I have almost picked out a tile for the shower walls. The designer is bringing me a bigger piece. Want to make sure it's not super busy. It's a travertine look porcelain tile in a beige tone. Has a lot of dimension. Look very Italian.
Back on WW program. Been tracking for 2 days. Doing well. Feels good to be back in the swing. I like the program. Already see the scale move a tiny bit and not as bloated. I was eating to many carbs.
Penny - we live 4 hours from Vegas. Going next week to see her.

Morning All!
And thankyou Peggy Sue, I don’t think it’s true, but you did make me smile and I appreciate that!
Penny sorry you are out of sorts, but hope its comforting to know that we all experience the downs of the holidays too. You were smart to get up and go out to the shelter. Where else can you get loads of pure joy and love then around a ton of dogs and the people who care for them. Activity always helps. Dr Phil came up with a quote (his first book- the only one I read) that I use as a mantra, “Life rewards action”. It has kept me on an even keel many of times.
Marilyn, sorry to hear about your sisters MIL. I hope they will all feel peace and some kind of closure this holiday season. I’m also sorry that your daughter won’t be taking the job close by. Housing is really expensive here as well, so I can understand her reluctance. Can she find a roommate, someone she would be comfortable with to perhaps cut the cost? That’s what a lot of people do here.
Pat, so sorry DH is sick again. I thought we were making progress! I hope they can find the appropriate antibiotic to make it go away.
Phyl I smiled about your heat wave comment, but I understand it completely. This morning it was 30 degrees outside and Lily went out like it was a spring day. I’m actually looking forward to going out myself – have a few short stops to make before it gets too crazy.
Well must get my day started. Everyone enjoy the day!
Dayle

Well more packages to wrap, got the dogs in the family their gifts today, and treats for the all the kitties. Pat, I can't do those gift bags, they never turn out the way I want them too and just look messy and I love wrapped boxes. Used to do them very fancy but don't do that so much anymore as transporting them in car they tend to look smashed. But still love pretty paper. I don't mind the wrapping but it does get time consuming. it is a good thing I don't start buying early as I would still shop until Christmas eve. Love the crowds, the people, the carols being played and even Merry Christmas being said more and more again. It is nice living in a small country town!!
Zorro and I both looked better. She fights the trimming of claws really bad but that just tires her out so by time I got there she was sleeping like a good girl. She is trimmed and her fur looks so healthy for a 20 yr old kitty. I decided against the trimming and just got color, Like the hair style but not sure I can do it same way she does. It is more poofy than I usually do it. so yep Zorro and I both had good job. one thing though my beautician's drive was pretty icy. Very careful walking to the house and then the drive way looked worse than it was. No traffic coming on the highway so I didn't have to stop at the top of her driveway. Just kept going.
today met my friends for lunch at Perkins and they sure do need to go get some Ice Melt. That parking lot was a ice rink. Kind of scary and lot of elderly people go there to eat and was worried about most of them I saw!! But no falling while I was there. More warm temps on the way. With all the snow on the ground it is having a time getting the ice to melt. it is cold on pavements.
Off to make some hot chocolate. Got some flavored envelopes awhile back and want to try the vanilla one. Never had white hot chocolate before. Will let you know!!
