So CJ- in this time of social distancing and if I cannot get into a real fabric store, all I have to do is drive a couple hours and check out your stash!!! Ha ha ha.....ok, so you have 2 projects out ready to be worked on- and a ton of fabric for inspiration to work on whenever! Nice. There is something inspiring about having the ability to come up with your own project based upon what you already have in your home.
Gearing up and cooking today for having family (under 10 and we will be outside) over around lunch time tomorrow. Its Dd#1’s birthday....hope everyone is in a good mood.

Ginny - You're asking to take some of my precious fabrics Enjoy the family and your lunch today I have some serious fabric stash arrangement envy looking at this quilter's fabric: sewpreetiquilts.blogspot.com/2020/05/hunting-for-hunter-green.htmlThat is just the way I'd love for my fabrics to be - all nicely arranged and stacked neatly on shelves I went outside earlier and sprayed some weed killer in the driveway and sidewalks where weeds are coming up but otherwise don't plan to do much today. It's nice to have a cooler day today. Hope everyone is well and enjoying some crafting. Take care!

CJ, I knew your fabric stash was much like my yarn stash...more than we'll ever use. Even my fabric stash is pretty large even though I gave away some on several occaisions. I love that page you gave us the link for!! Shows how you can use whatever fabric you want even if it's some that you would think wouldn't go together and it still makes a great quilt. I also love the one you see when you scroll down showing how you can make something appear to be 3D just by using fabric. I love the organization also. On my crochet groups I've seen similar organization with yarn. Some of their shelving is amazing. I've found that a lot of people store by color. I pretty much store by brand of yarn and weight. I have a lot of shelving but I still can't seen to get my yarn right. I need some with cubicles instead of just open shelves. Ginny, what are we having for dinner for your dd#1 birthday? Tell her happy birthday for me because I don't think I'll make it in time

hi girls, their has been a question on another thread about fat quarters. the bundle says do not prewash. what would be the reason?
preshrunk? then it should say that. maybe digital.they are asking me.I do not have a answer.something to do with t he dyes?metliac?
I don't buy bundles. most fabric I buy I can prewash.
we have had a quiet day. did go to target early and get my meds. also got Sadie And Travis their wedding present.
the wedding for tht 16th was canceled. they figured out how to get married in the church on their special day. course just close family members.
they did not want to keep living together till next year.I APPLAUD THEM.
they will have the reception next year.alot can happen in a year. phyl

Weird it says not to pre-wash. I always pre-wash fabrics (I'm allergic to a lot of the additives/sizing stuff they use), but also so it shrinks before I make something, not after.

Yes Phyl- that is happy news indeed about Sadie and Travis!! I wish them many many many happy years together and may the Lord bless them the kind of a marriage that honors him. I applaud them also. Cannot imagine why you would be instructed not to wash the fabric first- unless it is because it is not expected to wash well . Dyes that run should be washed first...and the metallics sometimes do not hold up well.
Ruth, lunch is ribs, mile high beef sandwiches with cole slaw on top, ambrosia and a salad. I made DD’s favorite cookies and she is bringing dessert. All the meats are done already....so is the cole slaw. If you left now....well you would be here in time for some great leftovers. Ha ha ha. My yarn is organized horribly. Please do not look to me for organization or good organization of yarn!! Ha ha ha
I had a CJ day. Yesterday my dryer sounded like it was going to die......two loads started with a horrible noise, but it ran great. I threw in another load today and the noise is gone. Poof!!! The living room TV was not working- I wasted a good hour trying to fix that....Ds comes home from work- and Poof! That is fixed too. SO very thankful. I am referring back to CJ and her TV remote that fixed itself. Hey, CJ is it still working? Yes that womans stash is so lovely and well organized. Mine is well in plastic tubs and a little bit organized. So I am coming down anyway in case i need some fabric. Sounds like you have a lot! Ha ha ha. Funny - I did the weed killer a week ago. Its finally working......
Have a good evening all. Monday is only a few hours away. Ginny

I looked it up online and it says the reason they say don't wash it is because pieces that are that small may end up too small for what you need if they fray in the washing. They say don't wash fat quarters, charm packs or whatever those pie things are...senior moment. They said don't wash anything under 1/4 yard. Aren't fat quarters 1/4 yard? Anyway some including known quilters said that fraying is the issue for the statement about no washing. And Rene, you can wash it after you use it just not before.
It was a little chilly today compared to past days and it might actually snow a tiny bit tonight but starting next Fri all 90 and over.
Ginny, it's good to hear that your appliance repaired themselves.I have a friend who's stove burners went on the fritz. She doesn't want to have to go out to buy a new one or have a repair person come in right now so she's making do. It's not easy to cook without stove burners. There are a lot of things that you just can't do in a crock pot. Luckily she has an electric frying pan.
