This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Hi CATs: Just wanted to stop by and say hello! Not much is going on here. Taking the kids to the airport today for their trip. I'm sure going to miss them. I'm planning on working out and eating well while they are gone. Finally finished a book and plan on diving into a new one tonight while I can do so uninterrupted. See you all tomorrow.

Hello CATs, Frieda, yay for making a list of things that you love to do while your kids are gone. I know it may not feel great but try to enjoy some special "me" time.
I have laundry churning, DH has gone for groceries, I've caught up on a couple of weeks worth of ironing so I'll have pants and tops ready for the work week. Now I need to figure out how I'm going to get all the cooking and prepping done for the week so I'll have something for lunches. DH will cook but certainly doesn't love it so I try to get it super simplified for him.
Bought a couple of light tops and a pair of pants yesterday. Came home with a department store sensor that I have to return to have removed. I hate when that happens!
I've been doing research for my book club which happens on Tuesday.
What is everyone doing to get summer bodies ready for the big reveal? It will be here before we know it.
Sending out healthy vibes and strong no-muscles to each and every one.

Hello dear Cats.
I had a weekend that started without kids and I accomplished so much. Saturday is drive 7 hours to my cousin's 90th birthday party. My 94 year old aunt came up from Arkansas for it. Both of them are great role models of what growing old should look like. The 94 year old lives in her own home and shares it with her divorced sin, whom she cooks and looks out for.
This afternoon the kids started arriving and I had all 5 and another little girl dropped in. I'm not sure, but I think there were some childish affections that led to someone pouting and going off into the forrest. This is supposed to be with permission only, so I was hunting for him and waiting. Not sure why, but he decided to elude the girls looking for him, and laceration the base of his ring finger on a barbed wire. He is in the ER now. There was some idea of treating it at home, but his ligament was visible though still intact. Since I couldn't get his mother to see if he had a tetanus shot, I decided to dial their number and let them talk directly to DH,MD. It resulted in the decision to have him taken to a pediatric hospital. Cancelled piano lessons. Tore up application for a baseball scholarship. (His Dad went through college on one.)
Anyway, I'm thinking of hanging around home tomorrow. My idea had been to go to the zoo. Lots of walking and still not see it all. But my Ayam Cemani eggs have not hatched, so I will want to stay close. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, and watched pots never boil. I should go to zoo, right?
Frieda, wish you could share my kids for a week of off duty at your house. I'm sure you will find all sorts of things to fill your time.
Welcome home T
