I hope the Leaders can find a way to make the meetings work, it is essential for the company to thrive with these meetings under the circumstances. With other apps offering what WW does for free this is the only thing making them stand out from the crowd. π€ IMO - and from the various workshops I've attended in different Connect Groups - the mid-day and on-the-way-home VW's are under-attended because people are WFH and have other options. The Sunday 8 AM is a small group on-line - small as in fewer than 10 attendees. Perhaps it ran larger IRL. The leader said that for those who still prefer a smaller group, her Saturday 11 AM (in a different Connect group) is still fairly small. When they split our Saturday 8:30 IRL workshop into two sessions, 8 AM and 9:30 AM, our core group went "early" and on Saturdays THAT is the VW that's staying. Some of the Big Names On Connect (FatDag comes to mind) have VW's with 100-200+ attendees. One thing that this morning's coach DID say: there is no direct correlation between a VW being cut and the final schedule IRL at the studio when it reopens. Reopening plans are in process but are not finalized.
Here in NJ, that won't happen any time soon anyway, since we are still limited to no more than 10 people in an indoor space (except for grocery stores that can run at 50% capacity).

diva49, I checked out the local meeting schedule here to see what changes have been made since last week's reshuffling and only the stores here have been left open. All of the "community" type meetings (we used to call them traveler meetings not sure what they call them now) Church, rec center, community centers those types, are all now showing 0 meetings.

All of the "community" type meetings (we used to call them traveler meetings not sure what they call them now) Church, rec center, community centers those types, are all now showing 0 meetings. Did they say "meeting with" or "meeting at" or "find your Virtual Workshop at"? In an orange box somewhere on the page? The VW's have been grouped together, often (but not always) with those at a WW center. If you go to that other location's Connect group, you will probably see your meeting in their list, and either with "your" coach or sub or teamed up with a coach from the bigger group if there are two meetings/workshops at the same day/time. That's what we have in our local Connect groups - meetings from other, stand-alone locations, not necessarily proximate - one is 103 miles away and another 40+. I think they cleaned up the website so folks don't "see the meeting schedule" and assume that they can GO there. IMO, they are differentiating the VW's from the re-opening rollouts.

diva49 yes I saw that but I was actually just looking to see how many actual physical meetings they shut down, I wasn't concerned with the VMs, this is just about the physical meeting locations. I had looked at this page a few weeks ago (or whenever it was the initial shut down happened) and it was still showing meetings at these traveler locations with the same disclaimer "In-person workshops are temporarily paused. Read more below for this location's virtual workshop". I don't think it was just an effort to clean things up. I had thought the same thing until I saw the meetings for both stores were still listed in detail. All of them are listing directions to VMs but traveler locations are now showing 0 meetings. I "think" the store locations have actually added some meetings, which makes smart business sense to consolidate since they have to pay for the building anyway. That is just is what is happening here, your area may still have its traveler locations open. π

how many actual physical meetings they shut down Too early to tell (based on what this morning's coach said, plus what I've seen). Single-meeting sites are dependent not only on state/local regs but also on location's individual plans/ability to accommodate per regs. Centers at least are "only" state/local regs + WW. I do think that the centers / studios / stores will be the first to roll out, but not all at once, not all "the weekend of..." I think EVERYTHING is under review and it's too far out into the future to draw firm conclusions.

Sorry you lost me, some of these traveler meeting locations here are already back open. (Again I am talking about here in TX, I know you guys are on a different reopening schedule there in NJ.) I do think that the centers / studios / stores will be the first to roll out, but not all at once, not all "the weekend of..." I totally agree, some states will be on lockdown for quite awhile, while others are in the midst of doing a staggered reopening. They will probably play it by ear depending on local/state reopening plans. It wouldn't be in their best financial interest to hold off until every single state opens back up. Just out of curiosity are any of your local travel meeting locations still showing meetings versus the stores? (Again not talking about the VM segment just the physical locations.)

Sorry what I meant is, are any of your traveler meetings showing meeting times still?
I have 6 show up when I put in my zip, 4 travelers are all showing 0 meetings the 2 stores are both still showing meetings listed. My normal store is the one I am seeing more meetings listed at., I never check out the other so I don't know if they have changed.
I deleted your post because I didn't mean for you to put personal location info out on the net.π€£

Yes, the travelers are all showing 0 meetings, all with the orange "here's your virtual meeting now" box.
Our center is still showing 14 workshops on the Find A Location web page; as of this week, the VM's are being cut to be 7. The traveler that meets with us is co-coached bcz we already had a workshop on that day/time.
I think ya only see the blended meetings/coaches when you get as far into the system as the Connect group.

Okay diva49 got us all set up here I even brought along the coffee pot π€ I am guessing they will do a hard reassessment based on their store numbers once things start to reopen. I can see them continuing with successful at-work meetings where the company provides the space for free, but as far as traveler locations that pay rent, unless they are highly profitable, I am thinking those will be the first to go in the restructuring. *Meant to add, I can also see them taking some of these successful traveler meetings to solely VM, that way they are only paying for the Leader.

I think also social-distancing / sanitizing impact on the travelers.
TootsMySpouse, for example, rehearses at a church. When the church finally reopens the building (per govt regs on indoor gatherings), will the church still want a come-from-all-over group of people in their space, using their chairs, bathrooms, etc., at least in the early stages of recovery? It's moot right now in NJ bcz we are still at "10" as a max indoor with 6' distancing for non-residents-visiting-houses. And non-essential retail (which is pretty much what WW is) can only do CURBSIDE PICKUP
WW travelers are the same-ish thing. What sanitizing rules will be in place? Who will do it? When?
<stocking up on popcorn, the NEXT Scavenger Hunt item>
~*~*~*~*~*~
In a similar vein, as long as we're PURELY SPECULATING here... how long, once WW starts to open locations, will we be allowed to coast along and post our own weights in the tracker (to earn the Wellness WINS, and for the Lifetimers-at/under-Goal to get their free e-tools credit)?
~*~*~*~*~*~
As I mentioned, our location on the website still shows ALL the IRL dates/times, but states that the meetings are virtual. In the Connect group (and being announced), seven of the VW's are being eliminated. I will be checking the website to see if they update THAT to reflect the changes.

Oh I agree, it will be interesting to see how they handle the weigh-ins for lifetime membership once people find out their IRL meetings has been shut down and they aren't able to get to an actual WW store. Some of these traveler meetings are out in the middle of nowhere.
We are still showing them all too, only change is the 0 on the drop-down menu for "show meetings scheduled" at the traveler locations. π

I checked out my meeting location on Connect and on the website. One of the VM has been cancelled but the time still shows up on the schedule for the studio.

bbbearsmom just out of curiosity, if your area had any traveler locations (like KofC halls, churches, rec centers, etc.) before the quarantine, are they still around. (Not the VM version but on the website where you enter in your zip code and it gives you a drop-down option next to a location.)

There are 5 studio/stores in my area and used to be 2 other one-workshop locations that are now listed as having 0 workshops.
At last weeks virtual workshop our coach mentioned some ways that our studio will look when we go back. She mentioned sanitizing chairs, keeping 2 chairs between members open, bigger spacing between rows, our 3 weighing stations will have plexiglass between them, floors marked for standing in line, capacity limits, etc.
That would work for my 12:15 meeting, but I know that the 8am workshops are busier, not sure how all that spacing will work. Maybe theyβll offer workshops every morning again. I hope they figure out a way to limit the number of members staying for the workshop ahead of time so they donβt travel to the meeting only to find out its at new capacity.
She thought that our area might open back up in August at the earliest.

DebDoesWW, My studio never listed meetings at other locations. healthyjoy, Our meeting wouldn't fit into a studio set up like that because we are almost full at some meetings.
