This thread is for anyone that has been away from WWs, had a gain, and is recommitting to the program. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. We love to use first names here, so tell us yours when you post.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes it is harder to keep it off and even if we fail, we keep trying, which is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, I count on talking to you guys each day and I am blessed to count you as friends

Good morning friends.
Still no internet. I did break down and place the call, go through all the annoying troubleshooting again that I'd already done about 50 tomes, and now we have a technician coming between 5 & 7 this evening. So hopefully it will be resolved soon. I have a few errands to run, but I'm planning to get those done this morning and them come back and settle in for the day. Maybe make a pot of chili. It's still chilly here. Not as cold as it was earlier in the week, but still good chili weather. Oh! That teminds me, I need to put Phazyme on the list...thanks Jana! Lol Waving to everyone! BBL

Lora, although not as bad as it used to be when we didn't have our smart phones, but being without internet service is not pleasant. How long are you off for now? Chili sounds good. My DH had a contest quality chili that he used to make, but hasn't made in years. It's a real Texas non-meat chili, that years ago he entered into a local contest and came in 4th. First people had to submit there recipes, and they invited 10 or 12 of them to come with their chili to have it judged. It was so long ago that it wasn't common to think low fat, so they gave the person who made turkey chili 1st prize. I sometimes make a while chicken chili, where I add beans, but if I ever made the standard chili with kidney beans and ground beef DH would complain that real chili doesn't have beans. In this weather though, it's great.
Jana, hope your stomach is well enough to enjoy your holiday breakfast. I know there are always lots of goodies around offices this time of year, and it makes eating so hard.
Janet, one of my desires is to come to Philly to go to Longwood Gardens. I would love to combine that with a trip to the Barnes Foundation Museum, and maybe even a side trip to Winterthur. However, not sure that the thought of walking around Longwood Gardens in colder weather, even the 40's that are supposed to be here on Christmas Day, is a pleasant one. I can see the point of not paying admission again too. Too many of these sites have become too costly. I love that some of them have their senior admission price for those over 60 or 62. It still costs you though.

Good morning everyone -
Last day of work for the year for me. I am on call for a week starting next Wednesday but I don't come back to the office until January 5. I have some things planned to do but also hope to have plenty of relaxation time.
Planning to meet a friend for dinner tonight and go see the movie Loving that's playing at a small theater over in Blacksburg. I've planned a fairly busy last day of work for myself. I'm interviewing 5 students for RA positions over the phone today and have plans to clean/organize one of the offices. As I look at how fast my afternoon will go by - I want to get started on a few things now. See ya later!

Good Morning ROs...day did not start off well...DH had an appt with a dermatologist that was cancelled. I know the Dr can't help being sick, but I am REALLY concerned about a few moles he has and now we have to wait another 4 weeks to get an appt AND change the PT schedule again (which I already did for this appt). Plus, this year it wouldn't cost us anything since he has already met all of the deductibles. I asked if there were any openings with ANY of the Drs in the group and of course there were not. Guess we will head to the gym, then go to get some last minute items from the other side of town since we were going to do that after going to the Dr appt anyway.
Lora - all the internet/tech stuff is SOOOO frustrating! Hope you get it all back soon. Maybe I will stop at the WW center to see if anyone can figure out what is up with my phone app.
Amanda - yeah for the last day of work for the year
Jana - sorry about the tummy issues...that should keep you in line for the breakfast though... feel better.
Robin - I really should go to Longwood Gardens, etc while DD is still living there. Just seems like we are so busy when we visit. Of course, now that DH is not currently working maybe when he starts to walk we would have a little more time when we visit.
I am doing terribly with my eating...just keep inching up and up ... I am so mad at myself !!

I think my tummy is telling it is time to slow down on the junk and unhealthy food. Everything I eat and drink hurts :/ I was able to make it to the Christmas breakfast and I ate about 1/4 of my food and I am in terrible pain. I tried coffee this morning and that hurt and now sipping cold water hurts. I am going to try room temp water now. This happens when my stomach gets inflamed and it can actually cause an ulcer.
I am supposed to go have dinner and drinks with some girlfriends tonight -but I am going to skip the alcohol and try to just eat something bland.
Lora I hope you get the internet restored today. Your chili sounds good.
Robin funny how different people like different things. I love meat and beans in my chili.
Susie sorry about the cancelled Dr. appt.
Amanda hope you are able to get everything done today that you need to get done.

Jana, hope you feel better soon. It isn't necessarily not liking the meat and beans, it's the fact that the experts, whoever they may be, say that real Texas chili doesn't have beans in it, just meat and spices, usually some sort of tomato I think too, but not even sure about that. Also, maybe a tiny bit of unsweetened chocolate.
Susie, when you do the quick add do you see where it says Name? One would think they should use something other than that, but they are talking about what the name of the item you are quick adding is. If you don't have that, then there must be something wrong. Do you have an iPhone or a different type? Maybe that's the issue. Sorry about the appt cancellation. I would tell them about the issue about meeting your deductible, that is now going to be a problem because they cancelled and didn't reschedule before the end of the year. Between other people trying to do things year end, and probably the doctors taking vacation days, I would imagine they are pretty booked.

I'm giddy with excitement. Not because of the holiday (although I am looking forward to it). I'm giddy because my internet is working again! Yipee! As of this evening DH is on vacation too, and we both go back to work Tuesday. We had been planning on some Netflix and Amazon Prime streaming, but the lack of internet was killing that idea. He should be home soon and will glad to find out that our plan is back on I need to go get some supper started.

Jana - so sorry about the pain you are having...hope everything goes OK tonight and you can find something that won't hurt your stomach.
Lora - yeah for getting the internet back
Robin - I actually stopped by a WW meeting site and got some help. One of the gals had just read something about the app today and she was able to show me that I can type the food in, I just can't SEE it being typed in (probably because of my settings since I like the font to be larger and therefore part of the screen is covering where I am typing. I was happy that she was able to help me. Maybe tomorrow I will try changing the size of my letters and see if that helps make it easier for me.
DH and I went to the gym and then watched a Christmas movie. I was able to run a couple of errands this evening (that is when I stopped by the WW meeting). We have PT in the morning at 9:00 and then will be meeting my DSister and DBIL for lunch and doing some Christmas shopping so I won't get to the gym... glad we got there today. I have 2 more Christmas gifts to get and then some stocking stuffers. ODD will come in from PA tomorrow, but I will probably not see much of her...she will be spending most of the weekend with her in-laws. That is OK...they were here with me two weeks ago when YDD was here from Spain. I am hoping I can go shopping with her Sat. morning and I know they will be here Christmas Day.
Night all...
