Anyone else excited?? fb video link (not sure how to link it) www.facebook.com/NASA/videos/695595847675337/Watch history unfold as NASA and SpaceX launch astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley to the International Space Station on Wednesday, May 27. This mission marks the first time since the retirement of the space shuttle in 2011 that humans will fly to the space station from U.S. soil. I had no idea this was happening. I have tried to not watch much news for the last few months, so had no clue. A friend texted me today about the launch. I am excited now.

When we were at Mayo Clinic for DH's radiation January and February of 2019 we lived at Hope Lodge where we met a guy who worked for NASA, although he didn't say much about his job it was fun knowing both he and his wife who was there for treatment.

My bff's dd (who I refer to as my first daughter) works as a Safety Engineer at Kennedy Space Center. Sometimes hers is the last voice you hear when all departments are giving the okay to launch. She got us passes to watch a launch on the causeway years ago (they don't allow this any longer). What an amazing experience that was!

I went to Disney with my grandparents long, long ago and we took the NASA tour. It was fascinating! The hanger where they kept the shuttle was just huge. You don't get the real scope of the size until you're right there next to it
