mac, I use MFP to track calories and macros in addition to using the WW tracker. I like the calories a little better than points but both ways work for me. When they went to Free Style I couldn't handle not have a number of some type associated with the food I was eating. That's when I started regularly tracking on MFP. When they went to Green in the fall I added tracking on the WW tracker. Once you get MFP set up with your foods it is easy to track.

you would think especially in this age of social media she would avoid lying knowing that the affected employees were talking about it via social media starting on the day it happened. seems a strange thing to lie about when you can easily be proven otherwise. Oh but the fired employees were told not to discuss it so I guess Mindy thought she had all her bases covered, lol.

Linda72,
Thanks for all your good information you posted on app, much appreciated!
I didn't realize it but I've been double tracking lately.π I do WW on-line and track with Mayo Clinic food groups everyday day which I've done for years. I track six food groups with Mayo to ensure I'm getting all my food groups in as it's to easy for me to eat way too much junk. I like it that the app you suggested tracks sodium and sugar as I eat too much sugar and salt if I don't track it, real problem for me and WW doesn't do that which is a draw back of the WW program!
I plan to call WW this morning to see what they have to offer, should be interesting.π

Bbbearsmom,
Thanks for your information on tracking, much appreciated!π
I find it really helpful to use two different methods of tracking as you do. I'm hoping it results in weigh loss so I can get the 10# I need to lose to goal, I've been struggling with this for five months so it's time I do something about it.
I will definitely try another free app to help me decide what direction I need to go concerning my WW membership.
No matter what program works for us I believe we should have a goal in mind and try our best to achieve it!
Be safe!πΊπΈ

Does anyone remember the name of the other app that is a WW clone? I know there used to be more than 1 but I just can't think of the name.

www.ultimatevaluediary.com/There it is sheesh, couldn't think of that name at all. mac this is the other one that is based on WW. * I just want to add I know nothing about this one (4.7 out of 5 rating at the app store) or iTrackBites ( which everyone seems to prefer, you can put it in the search bar here ^ top right and you can read all about it). These are just the 2 WW clone apps that I know of.

The four apps people listed above that are used to track WW foods are:
1. Ultimate Food Value Diary. WW clone. See Deb's post above to take you to web site. (Never heard of this one, anyone ever use it?). Thanks to Deb for info.
2. ITrackBites. WW clone. Anyone ever use it?
3. My Fitness Pal (MFP). Two posts above by Bbbearsmom and Linda72 who do use MFP. Thanks ladies!
4. Spark People. Healthyjoy suggested this one. Thanks healthyjoy!
Anyone else care to share information on an app they use or the ones above? π

mac, I just want to clarify. 1 & 2 count POINTS ( I believe they cover most if not all of the past versions of WW over the years). 3 & 4 are calorie counting apps. I started with SP years and years ago but at the time it didn't have as many of my usuals so I switched over to MFP which I have been using ever since. But they are both good apps for calorie counting. We have a ton of iTB users here. I will get a new thread going to have some people chime in about it.

Thanks Deb for getting a new thread going on this as I believe this could be useful information to many people to use as a second way to track as well as another option for doing WW!

Calorie wise I've always preferred LoseIt, but a lot of people rave about My Fitness Pal, which I liked but wasn't my favorite. At one time Spark People was "the" calorie counting app. I used Ultimate Food Value Diary when itrackbites didn't have an android app. It worked for what it was. When I could finally get itrackbites I switched over and preferred it. Since I'm an "oldie" with itrackbites, I got a rather good deal when they changed from buying the app and additional databases to just a yearly fee. So I've always stuck with it. I did, however, just take a look at Ultimate and it has really upgraded a lot since I used it. I may download it just to get a good look at it. Back when WW first came out with an app but it was only for iPhone users...I found an app called WWDiary (only available for android). It was basically an app to just log your food and had a calculator built in. It just replaced a paper tracker. There was an unofficial bar code scanner that I used with it (that no longer exists). It's very basic and has no databases, however, he does have a paid version where you can build your own database and sync it with the ones of other paid users.

i can't remember what site it was for sure, but i think it was called layoff something or other. this was the day after it happened that i was reading it. hundreds of comments all from affected employees. it was really quite sad to read it all because they were understandably so hurt by the callous method with which they were let go!
