About the goals you have for your weight management journey, do you think they are reachable and why?

When I was losing my 80 pounds that goal was reasonable because I gave myself plenty of time and I knew that I could do the work to get to goal because I had done it twice before. Maintaining was another story, that didn't work twice before. I feel/think that I can keep maintaining because I've done it for over 12 years, and I notice the difference in myself from the last two times. I have more support, I take my health problems seriously, and I have the information from the Beck book to handle my short-circuited thinking.

Yes...they are reachable because I have achieved them before so know what needs to be done and how to do it.

I’m not yet certain that my weight management goals are achievable . When I was at my goal weight 3 times before, I didn’t have the habits in place that I have now. What I did have was more activity and probably a higher metabolism. So, now that I’ve given all the excuses for not maintaining, my plan is to get down to my personal goal weight (I’ve reached WW’s goal weight so I no longer have to pay for the app), and see if I can maintain that weight comfortably. My body dimensions have changed significantly over the last few decades, of course! The last time I was this weight my clothes were two sizes smaller. Oh well... 🤷🏽♀️

luvvinlife, that sounds like wonderful progress! I have reached my weight management goals and I am confident that I can stay there. Knock on wood. There's always that sliver of self-doubt in the back of the brain.

My goals are very reachable. I think I'm an anomaly of behavior not genetics. My brother, sister, and father are normal weight. And my mother used to be very thin, like my sister. I think my mother and I have the same bad habits, not the same "bad genes". I'm looking forward to seeing what I look like thin. It'll be the surprise at the end of my journey.
